I'll start with what they did well. They showed up on time. They moved all of out stuff from a 10x30 storage unit into a 2300 square foot house in Lexington. Price was very reasonable but you get what you pay for. They used a 26' truck. When we moved into the storage unit an out of state moving company fit it all in one 26' truck load. Xpress Moving did not get it all in one truck load so they require two trips, meaning more time and money. There were three workers, including the owner. It took them 7 hours to move our belongings. The out of state movers took 5 hours to move out of our previous house into a truck and then into the storage unit, for comparison. It took a few days to get a paid invoice but they did send one. The biggest issue I experienced was that one of their young workers stole my AirPods Pro. I left them sitting on a counter near an entryway to the house. I haven't seen them since the day we moved in. When I use my iPhone to locate them, I can see that they are elsewhere in Lexington (off Tates Creek Rd). This morning they moved to Eastside Technical Center in Lexington, KY which checks out considering both of the workers were young adults, college age. So, I would not recommend using this moving company. Pay a bit more and get someone you can trust. read more

Express Moving did a business moving job for me that was very short notice (few days) and came through with execution. Due to another moving job before me, Peter and his crew were running behind though he kept me in the loop all the way until arrival. I needed an heavy industrial sewing machine moved from the seller's closing store to my workroom, about a mile away. Not an easy task, added that the machine needed to be moved from a 2nd floor WITHOUT an elevator. Short story, Peter and his crew executed this job smoothly and delivered with no damage or problems! What use to be a great service in the past has turned completely unprofessional.. Our stuff is missing, my furniture is damaged and my walls are destroyed. They somehow managed to dent the ceiling and leave a big black scratch on our upstairs ceiling.. When they did this the crew said they would fix, never happened. We paid for Pete & two other movers to help, Pete the owner sat in the truck 90% of the time and drank what it looked to be alcohol.. My wife felt uncomfortable with the whole situation, so I had to take the day off and supervise this crew the entire day. I would not recommend this service ever again, I have used them for three years but this last appointment was absolutely horrible! They showed up an hour late after their 11-12 appointment.. read more

NEVER AGAIN. WALLS AND FURNITURE HORRIBLY DAMAGED. Got lost for over an hour (but started out right behind me) and they charge by the hour, so guess who was responsible for that? The main guy sat in the car and drank alcohol for sure, I could smell it and told him that I did. They took 100 cigarette breaks. Some of my stuff is missing. read more

I just moved into an apartment that's never been lived in before. They charge less than $100 an hour, so I guess I can't be too picky. However, I don't feel it was right for them to complain in Swahili about having to move a big desk into the bedroom (isn't that what they're being paid for?) and in their haste mess up the bedroom door and desk (see photos). Next time I'll pay more to a company I know will be careful with my belongings. The discount wasn't worth it. read more

Wonderful service! The gentleman were so polite, on time and VERY hard working. This move was so chaotic for us and their professional services was just one less thing we had to worry about. They made moving into our new home so much easier I'm glad we found them! I was referred to Pete by a friend for my move from Lexington to Louisville. Pete (and Josh) did a great job moving all of my stuff from a two story duplex to a second floor apartment in an old Victorian. Pete personally came to my old place to do a walk-through. He provided a fair estimate for his services, and we signed a moving contract after that. On moving day (which was cold and rainy), Pete and Josh did a great job disassembling my bed(s) and select items of furniture, making sure that my carefully packed belongings were not damaged, and also making sure that I was satisfied with the placement of furniture and boxes in my new place. I would use them again in a heartbeat! read more

Great!!! I have personally used these guys several times and always had excellent service. I cringe thinking of carrying boxes and furniture up and down stairs but these guys do it with ease! Moving furniture and boxes is not an exact science, so there are always delays but that is totally acceptable. They even knew how to break apart the bedroom furniture! Peter and his crew always work quickly, cleanly and efficiently to get the job done. I would recommend them anytime. Super reasonable as well. My move had two pick-up locations, a long drive down a gravel road, and finally the piece de resistance - I had to relocate a small piano from one room to another and the guys never broke a sweat! Found Peter on Craigslist, seemed very professional by his ad. He also has ads on several moving sites or handyman sites... be on the lookout for a phone number ending in 9866. He personally was a hard worker and took extra efforts to make sure our furniture was protected...His hired help not so much. He had to call buddies to help, was about 2 hours late(but he apologized, and explained) It took 7 hours for the equivalent of a two bedroom house with office. They could not get either of my qn beds up the stairs, granted it was difficult. But my bf and his one friend got them both up, and one was an adjustable bed base which is SUPER heavy. My power tools came up missing during the move, and Peters response was " I do not use those guys anymore or talk to them" and he also said "That is why I tell people to make sure everything is boxed up" They were in their own hard plastic tool box. The non power tools made it to our new house. When I met up with him to get my tools, he had not checked the back of his truck yet...but there were a couple of my items still in the truck, but no tools. Also, he waits to see how you feel about his services, and then provides a link for you to post to a website. So, you will not see negative feedback. I told him I was pleased, he sent the link once he saw that I would give good feedback, then when we went to hang things in our new home, there were no power tools. I told him I would not post the positive feedback until the matter had been resolved...that was 2 weeks ago. I also told him that if he did not resolve it, or attempt, I would post the truth about missing items... He has not responded. He did nothing to recitify the situation. So if you value your belongings do NOT use EXPRESS Moving! We used his services 03/02/2013 SO BEWARE, ALL THE POSITIVE FEEDBACK YOU SEE, IS ONLY HALF. The best part is, I was unsure that our furniture and belongings would fit in the pod, but Pete was strategic in how he packed it, and everything fit! Express Moving and Delivery Services provided excellent service. They picked up an elliptical, was careful when moving it out and careful placing it on their truck. They remained in contact with me during the process. They brought the elliptical inside, was careful to wipe their feet and placed the elliptical where I asked them to. Nothing was damaged and the person who they picked up from said they were courteous and careful. I highly recommend using them and the price was very reasonable.
