We talked about upgrading the clutch since the standard Ford clutch lasted only 28,000 miles. He gave me his recommendation on an aftermarket clutch which he stated he had installed on other Shelby GT 500. After readings reviews on his recommended clutch, I purchased the clutch kit and Express installed it. The final price was under their estimate. Professional, friendly and fair. Got my transmission repaired at Express a few weeks ago. The transmission didn't require a rebuild, but just a replacement part, which was somewhat labor-intensive to get to. Upon calling, I explained the symptoms and error code I was getting and was given a diagnosis that jibed with what my research had told me was likely the problem. I appreciate that they were able to fix the issue and not give me a line of BS about needing a rebuild or replacement. The repair actually came in cheaper than what I was quoted. Their shop is clean and pleasant. I'm only deducting a star for the presence of multiple copies of a very right-wing rag magazine in the waiting area, clearly addressed to the shop. People are free to believe whatever they want, but I don't feel that displaying any political or religious propaganda, whether right, left, or middle is very professional in that setting. I will say that I believe the shop seems to have integrity beyond that of most transmission repair places. read more

I definitely do not recommend Express Transmissions due to the fact they were dishonest by omission. Express Transmission informed me that the gear shaft in my Mercedes Benz needed repairing. 3 days later Express Transmission called and said my car was repaired, the cost was $3,000 and I could pick it up before 6:00 pm that day. As I happily bounced into their shop, I was met with...."Well, we got good news and bad news..." They literally said those words and proceeded to tell me (with a straight face) that they repaired my shaft, but I now needed a new transmission and that will cost another $5,000. So many things went through my head, however the main issue was clear deception. Why not share such pertinent information when they called me? It was clear they did not want to tell me about the additional $5000 for fear that they would not receive the $3000 for repairing the gear shaft. It was clear "pre-judgment." To leave out such a critical fact is suspicious. And to hit you with the old "good news bad news" song and dance is ridiculous for this day and age. Needless to say, I will never support their business again or encourage anyone else to do so unless you like spending your hard earned cash with a company that obviously is unethical and provides low-tier Customer Service. I didn't put up a fight nor did I say anything rude as the manager was joking in an effort to make light of a very sad situation. I simply paid the man and politely left. I doubt if this review will make their page, therefore I will also place it on Google. If you have an opportunity to come across this truthful review please take heed. read more

We were on our way up north into Michigan from Kentucky when our transmission went out. We were towing a camper, had all the kids and the dog. It was total insanity. Honesty and integrity. As most of us know, potential transmission problems instantly bring up dollar signs and potential $1000+ repair bills. I had been adding about a quart of fluid to my auto trans every 2 days for over a week before I could get it in for repair. I was praying for the best but prepared for the worst news and trying to figure out how to pay a huge repair bill. I dropped it off in the morning and they said they would have it by the end of the day. 1/2 hr before 5 pm closing time I was getting worried but they called and told me it was complete which was a shock because I had not even gotten the estimate yet. BUT that is because the bill was so low.(I had signed the authorization to fix or call first and give estimate if over $200 I think) They told me it was one bad 4 ft length of hose plus 1 hour labor to replace and check all the other fittings, plus road test. Perfectly fair. My potential nightmare was resolved for $89 TOTAL. BIGGER PICTURE - they could have said all sorts of things even added on extras like a filter changeor much worse, padding the bill into the hundreds of dollars but they didnt. They fixed the one thing that was wrong. Gave me a list of a few other defect codes that computer spit out and a heads up that my power steering line was getting ready to go due to rust. This is the kind of service that seems rare these days, being HONEST and just fixing what needed to be done. This means to me that they put far more value on treating customers honestly and building repeat business than sticking it to somebody once for all they can get even if they dont come back. I WILL GO BACK to Express if I have troubles again as I have faith that they will treat me right and fix just what is needed. read more
