Usually my Dad changes my oil but this time I had to come get it done myself. For this being the first time I had to do this they were super nice and accommodating. I was visiting Statesboro over Thanksgiving weekend & my vehicles's tire light came on. I checked with another place in Statesboro for a courtesy tire check & they were too busy to help me. I told Brian D at Express that I am from out of town & I just wanted to make sure my tires were safe. They were very quick & my tires just needed air. It was a relief. If inflation didn't correct the light, then diagnostics would be needed & the price was clearly explained to me. read more

Took advantage of the fact that I'm a college student who wouldn't know anything about cars and charged me $114 dollars for an oil change and a tire rotation. Charged me $75 for a brake inspection and suspension inspection and didn't tell me the price until after they did it. They said they wouldn't have charged me if I had gotten the problem fixed. In total I paid $131 just for an oil change. Save your money, they will try to take advantage of you in as many ways as they can if you don't know a lot about cars. read more

I have been coming here for a long time and have been very happy with the service. They do great work and check over your vehicle when they service it. A lot of places will only change oil / filter and close the hood. Here they take the time to check your tire pressure, how they are wearing, front end and just lots of things you may not think of. I know they do major repair work, but I have not had to had that done so far. But, I have had to get tires over the years and have got all of them here. When you do buys your tires, you get life time tire rotation for free. Guess the long and short of this story is, if your needing your vehicle serviced, this is the place to come. I was quoted one price for a simple oil change. The young man asked did I want the synthetic oil (which was more) I said no just the regular. When I was ready to pay another man rang me up and told me that my total was $54 and some change. I feel like I was taken advantage of because I'm a female and I stated such. UPDATE!!! This is update from my review at the bottom. Dustin called me and we were able to work it out. He thoroughly went over the diagnostic test and explained to me what it covered. He even refunded me half the money for the diagnostic test and apologized for any misunderstandings. He was willing to work with me and promised me a discount if I came back for the sparks and wire replacement. At the end of the day I have to be fair and acknowledge when I feel someone is trying to do good by their business and not just out to get over on people. DONT EVER BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE...EVER. This is my 1st time writing a review but I had to. I want to warn everyone before you even think about coming here. I read some of the negative reviews and I thought maybe that was just that persons experience and decided to try them anyway...huge mistake. They charged me $80 for a diagnostic test I really didn't need. I told him my car was skipping and needed plugs and wires before I came in, I WAS THE DIAGNOSTIC TEST!! I didn't need to be charged an additional $80 for them to tell me that. And on top of that they couldn't even show me the "diagnostic test" they supposedly took. Now ask yourself-Does that sound like a rip off? Basically I ended up having to pay around $115 for an oil change...an oil change people! You've been warned!!! Two very bad experiences. $424.00 labor overcharge for replacing a torque converter, and $80.00 charge to misdiagnosis a loose battery cable, claiming my son needed a $520.00 transmission cpu module. We tightened the battery cables and the car has worked fine since then. They refused to admit they made a mistake, and seemed not to care. Parents, they may be able to change your oil, but take my advise, leave the rest to a professional! read more

They seem very professional but after being quoted $60 for an oil change and tire rotation, I wound up pay $78.52. I should have spoken up for myself and asked for a breakdown of how they came up to that charge. $30 of that was for labor and $45 was for "parts". I could have paid half that price a the dealership. I wish I could leave more than 5 stars! Express Tune & Lube is one of the best businesses around! My daughter is a college student so I wanted to make sure that she communicated effectively what needed to be done to her car. My daughter would have been in a hurry, dropped off her car and called me to let me know how much the bill was. She is a very responsible young woman, but since I am paying the bill, I wanted to make sure all bases were covered. The check engine light had been on for a few days. I knew the car needed an oil change, but wanted to make sure there was nothing else with the check engine light on. My daughter had called another place in Statesboro and they quoted a price of $80 to change the oil. She almost went there because it would have been convenient to drop the car and cross the street to have dinner with friends. When she told me it was $80, I asked her if they were putting gold in her car and for her to run as fast as she could from that place! I called ET&L and spoke with Seth - AMAZING customer service. He did offer a synthetic oil change, but I told him I preferred the synthetic blend. There was no question and he provided the service I requested and even the synthetic was no where close to the $80 charge the other oil place wanted. After the oil was changed, the check engine light went off. My daughter had also recently been in an accident. After the check engine light had been reset, she noticed the temperature kept reading "ice" or "38" when temperatures outside were in the 80s. She took her car back to ET&L and they were able to indicate that the wiring from the thermostat had not been reset during the car repairs. The staff at ET&L called me, provided information and made sure that my daughter's car was completely fixed. It is comforting to know that when 3 1/2 hours away, there are still honest people Doing Right! in our society! Thank you for taking care of your customer and giving this momma peace of mind knowing you treated my daughter like she was family. Bottom line - do your own research because sometimes relying on reviews can be misleading. read more

They towed my son's car from campus for a reasonable fee, and diagnosed and fixed a problem that our local mechanic botched the week before returning to school. They were recommended to me by a Statesboro local, and I'm glad they did. I'm glad we have a mechanic we trust while our son is at school. read more

Caution..... these guys charge $35 for all estimates, never saw this before. Bad experiance with them on wrong diagnosis on problem, they refused to let me speak to manager and refused refund of $35 "inspection fee" that was wrong. Awful. If your car isn't completely broken when you take it in for a repair then it will be when you get it home. They don't find the issue, they fix the symptoms over and over and over again. For example, if your alternator is malfunctioning they will tell you the battery is bad and replace it. Then the next day they will tell you the new battery must have been faulty. And the next day. And the next day. Ultimately when you push the issue they will look further and hopefully eventually repair the alternator. They were like an emergency room that prescribes aspirin and Bandaids for everything. I'm not unreasonable, auto repair businesses are busy so maybe the don't check thoroughly sometimes...but come on. I've only given 1 example, I have several from many years of foolishly using this place. From taking it in to have tires replaced and arriving home to find that my oil cap was removed...for no apparent reason. Unscrewed and laying on top of my engine but they assured me that I must have removed it on my way home and not remembered...because that is likely. To me looking up a problem on Google, printing the information out, handing them the printouts to try and fix my car( that they had for 2 weeks and could not solve). And then insult to injury...an hour after I handed them the information (hey, that model has 2 of those sensors) they called me and told me they had solved the problem and read me the information off of the pages I had just dropped off. My response was, "Are you serious?". Unless they have dramatically changed...just go somewhere else for your own sake. read more
