You know what sucks? Summer colds/flus- those that last for over a week with no relief. Anywho, I figured why not get checked out. I was able to make an appointment online within the hour. Upon arrival, it was pretty much empty inside. The waiting room is clean and welcoming. I saw others complain about a receptionist; however, the woman that I encountered was polite and direct. My wait was about 20 minutes before I went back. Once back I saw a nurse immediately and was tested for all the things. About 15 minutes later I saw the NP. She was kind and answered all the questions that I had. I even left out, realized I had a question went back and she still made time for me. My prescriptions were placed and I was able to pick them up within the hour from my local pharmacy. Although, I generally try to avoid urgent cares, I know I'll be in good hands here. read more

Get through the rude dismissive front office staff, it's a breeze. Ms. Nadine NEVER once looked up from her phone while my son and I asked her for instructions. She repeatedly referred us back to the site and kiosk with the most disregard. Not listening to my issue with the site, continuously cut me off and told me to go back on the site. Only after I asked for her name, did she make an attempt to answer. Mind you there were zero other patients to serve in the waiting room. Just my son. As a Practice Manager, I would never hire let alone have a person with such lack of empathy and customer service sit at the front and be the first impression of my business. No one wants to be in urgent care on a Sunday. Have some compassion and at least act like you give a care when patients are standing directly in front of you. I had to ask multiple times what she said since she was talking in her chest. Never looked up. Her phone was more important than taking 2 mins to guide a patient entering your establishment. We were speaking to the Billing department person, who was working remotely. I said F@ck it and pay with the FSA card. Then I thought about it, I said to them. The service here is terrible, don't come if you have a choice. I checked in on line and took the 8:15pm appointment. Appointments here mean nothing, I checked in at 8:10 pm. There were only 4 people sitting in the center. Here it is 9:20 (after there closing time of 9pm) and I'm still waiting. What was the point of signing in and getting an appointment via the website? I came in first thing in the morning !!... I registered online just wanted to check in but this lady must've been registering at the Patient Sign in because she was taking forever!! Mrs/Ms. Shawnita helped me immediately to check in!..I confirmed my personal info and because of my chef email she said what you cheffin lol I told her then my bff came up talking about are you talking about cakes cookies and pies well she makes the best... I cut her off like it's about me being seen not my baking career we all laughed. Mrs/Ms. shawnita was a delight , very helpful and conversational with my bff and I , her vibe was how good customer service is supposed to be!!...Drayana was so sweet and polite helping guide me to the places I needed to to get the service I needed. The Dr Mrs/Ms. Sandy was very through and told me what I needed for another problem and told me it was just a sprain on my shoulder and not dislocated. I got great care quality and customer service for that alone I'd return if I need to and recommend this Urgent Care. I especially love that you still have to sign up on an appointment time even walk ins instead of you just going and it's busy and they call your name out of order and you just waiting waiting. Sheesh...where do i begin?!! First I made an appointment that wasn't in the system when i arrived, but i was sent me a confirmation. I did paperwork online 2 times before i arrived and again once i arrived - because i wasn't in their system. I didn't have my wallet and wasn't expecting a copay so i had to come back. No worries. I make the appointment BEFORE i leave this horribly staffed facility for the next morning at 9am!! It's 1140, and I checked in at 9 when doors opened and still haven't been seen. Different instructions for check in were given, AGAIN! I checked in online and submitted my Paperwork online for the FOURTH time in 2 days, and was sent a text confirmation stating I was checked in and would be seen soon. But 5 people who walked in with me have been seen and left and I've been number 2 on their system since 9am!! So i politely question it but was met with nothing but piss poor customer service, no time estimate as their system says they'll provide and more attitude than the masked they can see behind!! I came yesterday 8/12 at 9am (ExpressCare Covid hours begin at 10). A line had already formed for what I assume I was there for, a Rapid CovId test. Waited 1.5hrs to get inside the building. Another 45mins to sign in. I was told I would get a phone call when they were ready for me and to wait outside. Cool. I got a phone call, 5hrs later, at 2:26pm to tell me that they were out of rapid Covid tests for the day and to come back early the next day as they are first come first serve. Fine. I head to Largo this morning at 7am. Get there at 7:30 and am among the first 15ppl in line. Both phones fully charged and even brought a book to read. Doors open at 10. Same thing. Among the first group inside, sign in and wait. It is now almost 2pm again. I have been waiting outside in the rain (I did not drive there) for almost 6.5hrs just to find out .... they are AGAIN out of rapid tests. Now, I'm a patient woman. I work in the restaurant industry. I understand first come first serve. But is there NO other way to go about this without wasting peoples time? Why not call patients ahead of time? Something? I am so frustrated with this place. I would have given them a 5 stars for treatment they gave myself and daughter earlier this week. We came down with the flu and they told us that if we needed to bring anyone else in to do the express check in which would be a little easier. Today unfortunately my son who is 3 is coming down with the it. I decided to pre check him in and do paperwork; because I am home with the flu my husband had to take him. He arrives before the 30 mins that is scheduled. They tell him that checking in earlier doesn't matter it's still a hour wait and that they don't pull the information you fill out. So I am not a fan of hospitals and its amazing that society has come up with these minute-clinic type of establishments, for general in-and-out accommodations. I stopped in yesterday for some mild health concerns. The ladies greeted me upon entry and getting signed in was via an ipad, so it was pretty simple. After the inpatient paperwork, I was seen within 5 minutes (no hyperbole). The entire visit couldnt have been a total of 30 minutes. I have come here plenty of times over the years and I have never seen the location this slow. I get it. Covid has made the medical field scarce and stressed but waiting 8 hours is pushing it. If they don't have the staff then Express as a company should change to no walk-ins. Got here at 11am and am still waiting as I type this at 7pm. I'm honestly a little worried as many have said this place has a tendency to waste your time and neglect to tell you they're out of tests but will still take your copay. The front desk is being as helpful as I assume they can be. Find a place that can take appointments almost on time because you'll be sitting your whole day. Went to Urgent Care for my back. Front desk was nice and attentive. The nurse (or whatever they're called) seemed to be caring ....she asked that I leave a urine sample to make sure kidneys were good. I made the mistake of leaving my purse in the examination room (a huge no-no). When I went to pick up my prescriptions is when I realized that the nursing staff - at least one of them stole all my cash...which was $35 in total. I reported it ....not like anyone was going to own up to it but the sad thing is that they have low budget medical staff there. I pray that it goes through their hands like grains of sand. I was impressed! On Tuesday, I had an accident. I needed to go to Urgent Care to be checked out. I live in Prince George County Maryland and I normally only use medical services in Fairfax County. However, today I was not feeling like the drive. I went online looking for an urgent care facility. ExpressCare Urgent care popped up. I called to see if they were taking appointments or just walk-ins. The young lady that answered the phone was kind, polite, and spoke proper English. Wow! she told me that time there was a wait and I asked what time she would suggest when I should come in. She now, however, the wait might be more than an hour. The facility closes at 8:00 pm, I headed over at 7:15 pm. I went in, please very clean and was greeted by the young lady behind the desk even thou it was check-in on a tablet setup. Due to Covid19, they ask all patients to wait in the car and you will be called. I get to my car setting myself up to do some work will I wait and within 10 minutes I was called to c some in to do the paperwork. Once I was done, I was going back to my car and was called to be seen before I got to the door. Now I am really impressed! Jordan, (young, bright and articulate might I add) came in, took my vitals, and minutes later the Nurse Practitioner came in. Everything was very well and the visit was short, precise, and professional. The only thing that struck me as odd is the young lady cleaning the lobby was not wearing gloves and sprayed the chairs and didn't wipe very well. Picked up a sippy juice box without gloves on. Other than that! This place is AMAZING! Finally, I can say my county has a GEM in the community. Keep up the great work and If I ever need urgent care again. I don't have a primary care physician so I come here frequently. The front desk staff isn't the best; however, the timeliness and doctors make up for it every time. Extremely terrible. Made an appointment for 3:40PM didn't get called until 6:45PM whats the point of making appointment if still have to wait 2+hours. Co pay was $50 for no reason. The doctor, gave me wrong prescription papers with no signature so CVS couldnt fulfill my request had to call back so she can fax prescription with signature, didnt come to CVS until next day. Gave me so many prescriptions without even getting my Results back she says "Just to be careful" why would I take unnecessary pills without yet knowing my diagnoses. You attend these type of medical centers when you cannot get to your own doctor, or if you do not want to go to the ER. The visit itself was okay. What I was confused about is why they would not fax my prescription to the pharmacy. Correction, they will fax it....but I was told it was not guaranteed the Pharmacy will receive thus having me return to the center to get the original. Soo...to be clear...you do not make copies of what's sent and I could not keep the original, Therefore taking a chance that I will have to come back anyway. However, today it was a whole different story. My 11:20 scheduled time slot was pushed back twice even after I was already checked in, so I rescheduled to 3p. The worse facility in the world, nonchalant, slow, uncaring and incompetent. I went to get a Covid test to know my status because I had one of the symptoms. Arrived at 12:33 pm, signed in and was number 34 in line, I was told to wait outside. After 2 hours, I checked to see what number in line I was because the text message status on my phone was inaccurate, I was number 11 in line at that time. It was very humid and hot outside, so after another hour I was called in to provide my details and fill out paperwork and was told it would not be that long. After 2 more hours, I checked my place again and was told there were 2 people in front of me, I told the receptionist that I was leaving because no one should have to wait this long for a test. At 5:30, someone phoned and said they were ready for me, mind you, it has been 5 hours now, I told the gentleman that I had left and he said ok, with no compassion! If someone had told me from the beginning that it would be such a wait, I would have left and went somewhere else. This was inhumane and disgusting to have someone wait that long for a Covid test!!! I'm very disappointed in the treatment that was given tonight. I always come to this facility when in need but tonight was ridiculous. The two lady's at the front desk were arguing. One of the young ladies walked away and didn't come back for over 10 minutes. I had to go to the back and speak with the doctor about the unprofessionalism of the staff. There's nothing express about express care. I arrived at the facility at 7:35pm to treat my 2 year old for symptoms of strep throat. My paper processed within 15-20 min so maybe that was the express in express care. I have now been waiting for over 2 hours just to be seen by the "provider". After explaining that it's 9:45 pm with a toddler on a weeknight, I asked if I could at-least get the results to the strep throat test and go from there. I was told the "provider" couldn't even look at the results yet because it was two people in front of me. The provider finally sees me two hours and 15 min later to find out the test was negative! The provider was sweet and so were the assistants but that doesn't take away the frustration and anger of the wait time. Management needs to do better. One person walked out while I was here be they were tired of waiting as well. I am very disappointed with my experience here and will not be coming back. Grossly unprofessional from the typical older female with an attitude at intake to the Devry educated nurse that they make you wait 2 hrs to see. I always read reviews before I go anywhere but of course during an emergency with your kid you want to get them checked out as fast as possible.
