Hello. Just wanted to share a positive experience (with negative test results) Sunday, late afternoon I was having some dizziness & nausea. Because i'm a caregiver for my grandkids and foster children, i decided to take advantage of being tested . Went to First Call in Gambrills ( previously known as Chesapeake Ergent Care, w/same contact info) They were incredibly well run. -Open 7 days! -no appt needed -wait in-vehicle -lines are outside -Rapid & send out test -Test was not painful, just a bit uncomfortable The swab seemed to be flexible -even with a double line of 12-15 cars, it was well organized, supervised traffic director, smooth process, and a bit over an hour total time spent there ! After some of the negative stories of the process .. I was surprised. read more

Writing this as I'm in my exam room after and hour wait. I still have yet to be seen my someone and there was a maximum of 3 patients in the waiting room, one being myself. I can't believe how slow things are running, I've never experienced these kinds of wait time with any urgent care. This is horrible customer service and patient care. Only one single employee even addressed the wait time. I came here thinking I would get more help than from a CVS minute clinical but I was wrong and will never come back here again. Was thrilled with the care during this time of crisis. With my daughter experiencing flu-like symptoms, we were directed to drive around to the rear entrance of the office so as not to infect other patients. I thought this was a wonderful idea for everyone, and while it could have been strange, all three staff members that we interacted with were not only professional, but very caring and friendly with my worried 9yo. A flu diagnosis was confirmed within 20 minutes; our total time there was probably 40 minutes. Overall, a great experience in a trying time. read more

On the evening of 5/18, I was hit with a bad rapid onset sore throat that came out of nowhere. On 5/19 and 5/20, I had viral syndrome: fever, body aches, headache, fatigue, and a cough. As a lifelong asthmatic, I knew that respiratory infections generally caused a flare up in my asthma symptoms. On the afternoon of 5/21, though my fever had broken, I decided to eat the $40 copay and go to an urgent care because my breathing was getting worse. Chesapeake ERgent Care was nearby and had good reviews on Yelp. I'll say that two patients who arrived after me were taken back to their exam rooms before me. There may have been a reason for this. I'm just noting it. Eventually, I was taken back. Physician's Assistant #1 (from here, PA1) took a quick history of my symptoms. He ordered a Rapid Strep and a Rapid Flu Test. Before he left the room, I asked what the accuracy of the Rapid Flu Test was; he said 95%. I knew that wasn't correct so I Googled it on my phone while I waited for the results. The CDC website says that Rapid Flu "sensitivities are approximately 50-70%," not 95%. When PA1 returned, he announced that I did not have the flu. I told him what the CDC site reported. He said, "I doesn't matter either way because you're outside the 48-hour window for Tamiflu," which I already knew. Ok. PA1 then asked, "Out of all your problems, what's bothering you the most?" I said, "The virus I have is making my asthma worse. I'm coughing all night and haven't slept in two days." PA1 said he was going to prescribe a steroid burst for my asthma; I additionally requested a narcotic cough suppressant for the respiratory infection. At first, PA1 said that he did not want to prescribe a narcotic cough medicine because such medications can suppress respiration and I have asthma (again, something I knew). I explained I'd never been denied a narcotic suppressant before for that reason, but that I wouldn't ask him to prescribe something he didn't feel comfortable with. He left the room but returned shortly; he stated that he had checked and he could prescribe a different narcotic suppressant that has a lesser effect on respiration. I had never read this before, but fine. Then PA1 gave me my steroid prescription for six days. The first day's dose was for 24mg, the second day 20mg, then 16mg, then 12mg, then 8mg, then 4mg. I told PA1, "This burst is too low. I was getting 60mg a day when I was in pediatrics." PA1 looked confused and said, "...that's the dose." (Side note from Drugs.com: "Methylprednisolone dosing information Short-course "burst" (acute asthma): Oral: 40 to 60 mg/day in divided doses 1 to 2 times/day for 3 to 10 days..."). I left with my scripts. I waited at the pharmacy. I took the pills and suppressant. I went home. I coughed non-stop for two days, again, unable to sleep. Awesome. On the afternoon of 5/23, I called Chesapeake at 3pm and asked to speak to someone because my symptoms were no better and my voice was now mostly gone from coughing. The receptionist said that the PA was busy, but that he'd call me back. At 5:30pm I called again. (Side note: the elevator/on-hold music they play sounds like it's from the original Legends of Zelda soundtrack). Physician's Assistant #2 (from here, PA2) took my phone call. PA2: What were you seen for? Me: Asthma exacerbation brought on by flu :: coughing:: PA2: Were you given a chest x-ray? Me: No. ::coughing:: PA2: Were you given a nebulizer treatment? Me: No. ::coughing:: PA2: Well, you don't sound good. Me: I don't feel good. ::coughing:: PA2: You were given steroids for your asthma? Me: Yes, but only 24mg to start PA2: That dose is too low for you. Me: I know. I told PA1 that. PA2: Can you come back in right now? I'll take care of you. I returned to Chesapeake, as requested. There, was greeted with...another $40 copay! (Side note: nothing says sorry like being double charged). I sat and waited to be seen again. PA2 then gave me a nebulizer treatment, 60mg of steroids to swallow on the spot, and a script for an additional four days of higher-dose steroids. PA2 was pleasant, listened to my concerns, and did not seem confused like PA1. I'm already beginning to feel better. But I can't help but think how I could have felt better, and slept, for the past two days...and been $40 richer...and not have waited to be seen again...and not have waited another thirty minutes at the pharmacy...had PA1 listened to me when I told him his prescription was inadequate. PA2 was professional. He was good, but not good enough to save review. One star. read more

Popped in yesterday afternoon around a quarter to 5pm. The staff was friendly, waiting area very clean and appealing. I liked that they had good music playing....I think it helps relax the patient waiting and cheers them up. I was seen 20 min after completing my paperwork. The PA who saw me was very nice, and courteous...we went over his findings and he called in my prescriptions to the pharmacy right away. I was in and out in about an hour and and 1/2 which is fantastic for an urgent care center. I definitely recommend them if you need to be seen for something not too serious and can't get in to see your primary. read more

I went to urgent care because my GP was on vacation and no one could see me for a lone star tick bite. The office staff was friendly and the medical staff was kind, but not helpful. I was asked how did I know it was a lone star tick. I answered and said the reason I was there several times. I wanted a prophylactic antibiotic. I explained that many neighbors had the same prophylactic antibiotic as well as my husband for tick bites. PA explained about lymes disease from the deer tick. She said I had no symptoms. I could have an antibiotic for skin infection, but my bite area only itched and wasn't infected. I gave up trying to get a prophylactic drug. I will try again at my GP office and hope that I do not have the Esch** bacteria that the lone star tick can carry. Nice people but no knowledge on tick bites. read more

I got covid tested here and they messed up my billing and now I have to pay $400 for a covid test even though I have insurance. They won't answer their phone because of Covid so now I have to pay this bill during a recession and a pandemic or I will get sent to collections. Thanks ERgent care! read more

I had to visit Chesapeake ERgent care this morning due to some strange chest pains. I was waiting at the front door when they opened promptly at 8:00 am. The young lady at the front desk cheerfully greeted me and asked that I fill out some paperwork if this was my first visit. After completing the forms, I paid my co-pay and was taken to an exam room within a few minutes. Once in the exam room, I had vitals taken, whisked away for an x-ray, spoke with the PA, had an EKG, spoke with the PA again and was discharged - all within 90 minutes from the time I arrived. That's pretty darn good as far as I'm concerned. The entire staff was polite and helpful. I would definitely recommend Chesapeake ERgent Care. read more

I wanted to try this place based on everyone's positive reviews. Unfortunately, we had a bad experience and will not be choosing this facility again. My husband took my daughter in on a Sunday afternoon and she tested negative for strep with the rapid screen test. They took a throat culture and said it would take 48 hours for the results. No call meant it was negative. By Wednesday, she had been fever free and feeling fine for 24 hours, so I sent her to school. On Friday I received a call stating that the culture came back positive and she needed to take an antibiotic. When I asked why it took 5 days to get a call, I was told "the results were put on my desk yesterday but we were really busy and short staffed, so I didn't get a chance to call you." read more

I came here today for a strep test after not being able to swallow for 3 days and to see if it was better than the 2 hour process of patient first. I was very pleased with the waiting room (nice set up, looks like they had coffee/tea) and super friendly office staff and nurses. I was also in and out in just over an hour, so time-wise I was happy. They did my swab quickly in the waiting room to speed up the test results, which I was fine with. Test came back negative and the lady (I honestly don't know her credentials she had no ID on her, so I don't know if she was an MD, PA, NP, or intern) checked my throat and told me it looked 'perfect', to which I responded with an incredulous 'what??? It's been super red all weekend and there's a white patch on the right side' She double checks and still says 'it's perfect! I swear, I wish I had a camera', and tells me there's nothing to do but gargle salt water. I go home because I'm seeing my actual doctor in two days anyway so I'll have them recheck me, take a picture of my throat and see it's SUPER RED with white spots! There's nothing they can do for a virus so I'm not mad about that but I'm livid she actually told me my throat looked perfect when it clearly does NOT. I give it stars for the facility but the 'medical opinion' gets ZERO stars from me read more

Can't comment on this place if you are going for medical care. However, if you just want a COVID test there are better options. The signs in the front say to drive around to the back. After waiting about 15 minutes in the car line, someone comes up and asks me to fill out a paper form. No pen or clipboard available, but I made due. After filling out the paper form, you need to read a bar code with your phone. Then you answer the same questions you were asked on the paper form. Finally, you are directed to a numbered parking spot where you wait until you are called inside (about 20 minutes). Didn't wait too long once I got inside. Got a PCR and an antigen test. Then I was asked to stay put because someone else wanted to see me. Eventually, a women with a stethoscope walked in. She said she was a "provider". She wanted to check to see how my heart was doing. I told her that was fine as long as they didn't bill my insurance company for a medical exam. She went out to check, then came back and admitted that there would be an "upcharge" above the cost of the test. I told her I only wanted to pay for the test, and left without her checking me for a heart beat. The bottom line is that the whole process is sneaky and unethical. The "provider" should tell you up front, that if she puts here stethoscope on your heart it's going to cost you, as least if you have any insurance deductibles. In any case it's a waste of resources to have medical personnel examine you when you have reported no symptoms. read more

I walked in on a Saturday night, 15 minutes before closing, concerned that my child had an ear infection. I was full of apologies, but they were kind, gracious, and friendly. We were seen quickly and I was pleased that the NP wasn't pushy with antibiotics. The only local urgent care we'll go to from now on! read more

I saw the doctor almost immediately, and he gave me his undivided attention. Everyone was very pleasant and spent time answering all of my questions; the doctor was nice enough to explain his diagnosis/care instructions multiple times to make sure I understood. Fortunately I have visited only a few urgent care facilities, but this was clearly the best experience I have had. The whole process was easy and straightforward. I would definitely come back to avoid the stress of going to a hospital or waiting for a doctor appointment. This was one of the best healthcare experiences I've had in my life. I took my mom in for an upper respiratory infection and have never been so disappointed with the lack of care and professionalism from a medical provider. After filling out the paperwork, instead of working on her information, we had to listen to the receptionist go on and on about someone she knew in the hospital with a punctured lung. When the tech later asked if my mom's paperwork was ready to go, the reception said it wasn't all entered. (Well, duh, take care of your job first.) After waiting, mom was finally called back and she said she couldn't understand the doctor and that the visit was a waste of her time. I asked the receptionist if there was another provider available (no) or if I could address my concerns with the doctor. Well, apparently the doctor can't be bothered, because she called the tech back out. I explained that the prescription was not adequate and had not worked in the past. I emphasized the symptoms and their duration. That's when things got really ugly. He (the tech-who I imagine works at an urgent care because a decent doctor or hospital wouldn't hire him) starts questioning me with a snippy attitude. Then asks me if I'm a doctor. I told him not to challenge me and that in her eighties, mom has been through this many, many times. He was downright hostile and unprofessional. As we went to leave, he became physically confrontational and refused to give us mom's discharge paperwork. He accused me of trying to snatch it from him. I said I was leaving and as I was exiting, he came at me. I honestly thought I would be attacked. Note to healthcare professionals-it is your job to remain calm even in less than ideal situations. It is not your job to verbally or physically confront patients or their families in a threatening manner. Not entirely sure how this place stays in business except maybe there ARE decent providers at certain hours who care enough to hear the concerns of family members. I've read the other negative reviews and absolutely believe them. It's looks like a nice place, but it seems like it is basically a slick cover to not treat patients and just collect insurance premiums. read more

My partner and I came to this location this morning for rapid Covid test. We first arrived around 10:30 am, (supposedly the center opened at 8am) and we noticed a long line (which was to be expected, of course). After waiting in line for about 30 mins or so, the gentleman at the front of the line informed us that they were closed and they'd reopen at 1pm. Ok cool, so we grabbed a bite to eat - and parked at the Royal Farms gas station a couple of minutes away. As we were approaching the car, at around 11:45 am to get in, we noticed that despite what the guy told us (that they were closed until 1pm) there was a line starting to form again. We jumped back in line, and once we finally arrived close enough to the front of the building (approximately 5 cars away) I noticed that we were at a stand-still & drivers started to get out of their vehicles and walked over to the staff members that were outside. The driver from the car in front of me signaled that they ran out of tests. After waiting for 2 + hours pretty much, that was beyond infuriating to hear. So, I told the driver behind me and she said the same thing - that there's no way that they're going to turn away, after waiting for HOURS. At that point, my partner and i wasted majority of our TIME and GAS with no communication from the urgent care up until we approached the front of the line???? There should have been several cops directing traffic/keeping the lines of communication open to those waiting in line so that we wouldn't have had wasted our time waiting for nothing. My partner got out of the car to see what was the hold up, the cop mentioned that they were shutting everything down because he couldn't have people lined up in the middle of Route 3 & that he's been having this issue for the past week. If that was the case, they should've been figured out how to find a resolution as to making all of this more organized. Once we approached the very front of the line, my partner (who was the passenger) asked who was in charge. In which, one of the "staff" members responded that he "didn't know". So, then my partner asked who one of the gentleman, who was outside in a plaid shirt and looked as if he was also a staff members - in which the guy said "he had no idea who he was". I found all of this to be blasphemous, because whether you're a temporary employee/volunteer/actual paid staff member - you're supposed to know who's in charge/who to report too when issues arise. I tried calling the actual urgent care center, of course - no answer. I plan to keep trying to call, everyday this week if I need too - in order to find out who's in charge and to discuss my concerns from today. read more

Staff and owner conducting traffic are incredibly rude. Staff are mostly on the phone not paying attention to the line forming down route 3. The wait is very long and they did not bill my insurance correctly. It has been a nightmare trying to work with them to correct the multiple, wrongly billed insurance claims. OMG do not go here. Literally go anywhere else. I was in an "urgent" situation bleeding pretty badly. I did not have my insurance card with me. They proceeded to inundate me with paperwork. And told me I'd have to pay full price (I did not care). when I FINALLY was looked at, even though I was the only one there, they told me they could not treat me an I should go to an emergency room. The new Chesapeake Urgent care center is wonderful! Walk in, no line, clean, very well decorated (you don't feel like you are in a doctors office) and the staff is above and beyond amazing! After a week long water slide vacation, my 6 year old developed an ear ache. The staff made her feel comfortable and safe. She was even able to pick a prize from the toy bin at the end of her visit! I injured my hand at the fitness center. It felt like tendon damage but I couldn't be sure it wasn't a stress fracture. So I stopped by Chesapeake Urgent Care, Gambrills for xrays and diagnosis. From the receptionist to the xray tech, to the PA, they are professional, caring, and knowledgeable. My hand was not broken, ligament injury was diagnosed. UPDATE: After placing this review the Medical Director reached out to me and discussed all my concerns. He has assured me that he is addressing all of the issues that I had mentioned. He apologized for everything and was very grateful for the feedback. He truly cares about this facility and the people that it is serving. I would give this place a second chance after talking to him. I had a horrible experience at this urgent care clinic! First started with not answering the phone for 20mins, starting calling at 8am when they open and no one answered till 8:20am. Then when I got there the Tech was very nice and got me back quickly to get my vitals. Once inside the room he did a quick strep test and I sat and waited for 45 mins by myself. He did come back twice and apologize for the wait and got me a pillow. Finally after 45mins waiting on the Doctor to come in the Tech came back and told me that the doctor stepped out for 'coffee or breakfast or something' and had an emergency with his car and wouldn't be back till later in the day. He did another strep test on me and told me to come back in a few hours. I came back around 11, after having to call myself to see if he was back. I was taken back right away to the same room, which was still dirty from me earlier, and the doctor came in. The doctor never introduced himself, never apologized for the situation, and overall had extremely poor bedside manner. He did give me a prescription for an antibiotic even though he made it a point to tell me that he didn't think I had strep throat. The office was supposed to call me with my results in 24-48hrs. Never heard from them. Called 3 days later and got a rude receptionist that said she'd call me back and never did. Called the next day and got another rude person that answered the phone and ended up hanging up on me. Called a third time later that day and FINALLY got my results which were positive! I asked to speak to a manager because I felt like this whole situation was very negative and they should know about it since they are a new place and all. Manager was not helpful at all. She insisted that someone had called me three times to give me my results and they even left me voicemails. I find it extremely odd that I never received ANY of their phone calls or voicemails. All the manager kept saying was 'I don't know what you want me to do' and 'I don't know what to do except apologize'. Never once did she say thank you for letting me know, or we will work to improve your experience. She just sounded very annoyed that she had someone with a negative experience even though I was being extremely nice on the phone. I literally just wanted them to be aware of everything that had happen. She did say 'looks like just a lot of negative things happen all to you'. I told her yes I know that but I know that you guys are new and probably want to know when this stuff happens. She said nothing back but 'have a nice day. Goodbye.' I would NEVER go back to this place again or recommend it to anyone!!!! Poor staff and poor management equals a very poor experience for the customer. I am a ICU nurse so I know how these things should be handled and this was a terrible job all around on their part!!! read more

First call more like LAST CALL! I took myself and my children in for a rapid COVID test. Of course the line was long which wasn't a problem and pretty much expected. The workers were very nice and I was told I would receive a call in a fews hours if the test was positive or an email indicating a negative result. I received email portals for both children and not myself. Later came the results for both children. However, nothing for myself. I called the next morning and was finally able to have a portal link emailed. However, still no results. I called several times throughout the day and spoke with different people who indicated there were no results and proceeded to forward me to a voicemail, of which no one ever returned my call. This was frustrating as were planning to travel and there had been nothing "rapid" about my results. I would have been fine if they would have just been upfront and said I should come in and retake the test rather than leave me in limbo. I called two days later and the person was very rude but was finally able to give me my results and send them to the portal. I definitely would not recommend this location and will not be visiting in the future. read more

I've previously always gone to Righttime in Waugh Chapel, but always end up waiting approx. 2 hours to be seen, even with an appointment, so I decided to try this place. They have much friendlier and more helpful staff. My total time there was about an hour and the provider apologized for my wait. I ended up having a bad reaction to the medicine I was initially prescribed and was able to call and have a new one sent to my pharmacy right away! I will definitely go here from now on. read more

I went to Chesapeake ERgent Care that now is called First Call Urgent Care on Sun. 11/28 for a Covid test. While waiting to be service I came on yelp just to check the reviews and notice one review that said the doctor try to give a checkup when they just went to get the test don't. The doctor was trying to charge the insurance company, with that being said the same thing happen to me. After I got the Covid test done the nurse said the doctor will be in to talk to you. The doctor came in asking about my health and asked If he could check my vitals. I said no! I only came here to get a Covid test because I had surgery scheduled and I had to get at test done. I left and in less than an hour I checked on the portal to find a negative test result. Then today 11/30 I get a call to say I had a positive test result. It didn't sit well with me so I immediately left work and went Anne Arundel Medical Hospital to get another test done. It came be NEGATIVE!!! Do Not Go TOO THIS PLACE!!!! read more

Went there after trying to get an appointment with my regular doctor. I'm glad I did. I was surprised to find I was the only patient at 4:00 on. Tuesday afternoon. The facility was clean and nicely decorated. The receptionist and nurse were nice. The PA on duty, Merritt Baumgartner, was attentive, kind, efficient and compassionate. She diagnosed my condition, gave me an x-ray and breathing treatment, and my prescription waiting before I got to my pharmacy. She called me the next day to check on me. I will definitely go there again should the need arise. read more

My daughter was bitten by a dog on her upper mouth. Lots of blood. It was a bad bite. I drove to Chesapeake urgent care. I walked in with my bloodied and disoriented daughter to be greeted by a young man and woman who were more concerned about my insurance and ability to pay before they would even look at the patient. My daughter was shivering due to shock. I asked for a blanket and was immediately told they didn't have one. I took off my coat and wrapped it around her. Her husband and I were frantically completing these forms so she could be seen as there was no one else in the waiting room. Then, the young man told us we would have to pay $125 before they could see us. We ended up leaving and going to the ER after the woman realized my daughter was in major distress. This woman had the PA come out and look at her. He was the one who said she needs plastics and to go to the ER. We didn't need to hear the plastics part but the Anne arundel ER took her quickly. If fact, the ER was faster than the clinic. NEVER go here unless you have no other choice. read more

Beware an incredibly friendly doctor's office - it's like a well-staged house. The friendliness is refreshing and desired, BUT twice now I've been disappointed in the *actual* care received at Chesapeake ERgent Care. First, we took my infant son in for systemic hives and a visible rash over his trunk and face. I informed them at check-in that I think he was having an allergic reaction, and progressing, though still just apparent on the skin. He'd just had his first MMR vaccine and was on amoxicillin for an ear infection, the evening before. They had us wait in a hot exam room for an hour, during which it got worse and he cried the whole time. I was correct about the allergy, and he was fine in the end; I put the wait down to a busy office (it wasn't that busy). However, on my next visit, for an assumed stress fracture in my foot, the PA-C that examined me did/could do nothing more than visually look at my foot (their imaging equipment was down that day), fit me with a walking boot, and send me to LabCorp for an x-ray... I was 8-weeks pregnant. I disclosed that information on my history form - boldly (detailed the estimated gestational date in writing), on the form on which the PA-C then performed a check-list (literally a Q&A checking items off as asked; the form is not crowded). Thank goodness the LabCorp receptionist asked if I was pregnant and advised against, shocked at the PA-C's referral. I assumed it would be like getting x-rays at the dentist's, that I'd be covered and protected, so I didn't question my PA-C (hindsight is 20-20, but your doctor should know better!). This time the office was not busy; I was the only patient there. [The PA-C did apologize for the mistake after I called to let them know that I had declined to get the x-ray]. But, as I checked out from my visit at the ERgent Care office, I specifically asked the receptionist what I owed. She said "Nothing." I pressed to ensure that I owed neither a copay nor anything for the walking boot or pending x-ray, and she again said "No; your insurance covers it." So imagine my surprise to get a $151.50 bill from that visit (inclusive of my expected $40 copay), then my fury to see that they charged $410.00 for the boot and sock ($345 and $65, respectively) that costs only ~$47.00 from any medical supply store or Amazon.com alike ($39 and $7, respectively - the exact ones!). The sock was not covered at all by my insurance (expectedly). I was already borrowing a boot from a friend - and I own my own socks - so had I known it would (or even might) cost a chunk, I would have declined it BEFORE I left the office. Too late now. They lied to me, they overcharge (you and your insurance company, who then pass it on to every one of us in increased premiums), and their neglect in this case to look (at patient's specific and obvious disclosures) and ask vital questions was borderline malpractice. I can't believe I'm saying this, but my several visits to various other urgent cares (you know them) in the Gambrills/Crofton/Bowie area have ultimately been better, if not as "feel good" at the time of visit. And be sure to check your insurance statements or call them before paying a doctor's office invoice -- my insurance company declared that I owe this office nothing for the $65 sock. I didn't pay the invoice yet, thankfully, but now I need to dispute that charge with them - all by snail mail of course because they make it as difficult as possible for their customers. read more

They are rarely crowded and have a x-ray machine that has been recommended (as opposed to the x-ray machine at Righttime) by our PCM. Staff is always friendly. I recommend them over Righttime any day. read more

I've read some recent reviews that are very similar to my experience, they don't care about diagnosing you correctly, just about getting you out of the way as soon as possible. My visit started out fine, there was a polite brunette woman at the front desk that signed me in and collected my paperwork. I had to pay $125 because I'm currently without insurance, but I had been sick for so long that I thought it would be worth it. But it was a waste of money. I had been very sick for a little over a month, and had already done one round of antibiotics that didn't seem to really take care of it. When I went in I was seen by a nurse practitioner who asked me what was going on, I explained to her that back in November I was extremely sick, I had a sinus infection that caused real problems in my chest and also caused an infection in both of my eyes and that while I did improve a bit after a round of antibiotics, I am getting worse again. She seemed like she couldn't care less and rushed through it. I thought I would get at least a little time and attention after paying so much money. I barely got any examination, and she didn't really ask any other questions, she just listened to make sure my chest was clear and said she was going to give me the same antibiotic again that I had already taken, which I felt fairly certain it wouldn't work since I had just finished it recently. I was always told you couldn't take the same antibiotic back to back anyways, but maybe I'm wrong. I do think she also was taking the price without insurance into consideration which I do appreciate but the whole thing was very rushed. I felt like her goal was to get me out of the room as fast as possible, when it should have been to send me out with something that should have helped me get better. But I left, feeling like there wasn't much I could do about it. I changed my mind in the parking lot and went back in, I apologized and said to the woman at the front desk that I felt unsure about my visit, and that I thought for $125 I would at least get some more help or information from a doctor, and I said I was worried that this was not the right prescription since I had already taken that drug two weeks ago. A short blonde woman who had taken me back earlier, i think a medical tech, brought me back again, clearly annoyed that I came back to the office, I even apologized to her because she looked so annoyed and explained that I just want to make sure I get this right because I can't afford another appointment. It was a complete waste coming back in though. I was brushed aside and made to feel like i was a burden. For the money that gets spent on an appointment these people should at least give you the respect of their time and attention. I also paid all that money for a doctor and there wasn't even one there. It's so frustrating when you've been sick for so long to be treated like you are just an annoyance to them. I should have gone to righttime medical like I usually do, there's a longer wait but totally worth it because at least there they treat you with respect. read more

Called ahead of time as it was the Labor Day holiday but to my thankfulness, they quickly answered the phone and welcomed me to come in based on the symptoms I reported. Very clean and professional facility with complimentary water/tea/coffee. The wait was minimal and the staff was very friendly and explained all of the paperwork to get my 94-year old mother ready for her visit with the doctor. The doctor was thorough, patient and had great bedside manners during my mother's exam. Left with a prescription in hand and the comfort of knowing what to do next if concerned or have any questions.
