This salon needs more training on color and hair extensions. Morgan ruined my hair doing a color, actually broke my hair off while removing the foil from my hair and hid it from me. Next step hair extension to hide it. No discounts offered but I needed my hair fixed for my sons wedding. The girl who initially did them left this salon, the next girl couldn't get them tight enough to where I was getting them lifted every 3 weeks instead of every 6 weeks.. no apology for bad service or refunds read more

I scheduled a balayage here in early December. I have naturally dark brown hair and was looking to get a balayage that faded from my natural roots to ash blonde and a trim. Instead, by the time I left my hair was incredibly damaged and three inches shorter. The length was upsetting, but something I could deal with; however, the worst came when I showered. My hair was breaking off and falling out. I had fistfuls of blonde hair in my brush after showering. I tried all of the tricks with detangler and brushing from end to root with a wide tooth comb. These things helped, but my hair was completely fried after bleach had been left on my hair for over an hour and a half. I called the salon because all of the pieces I paid for were falling out, and they offered me two free keratin treatments to stop the damage. As I go to college elsewhere, I only had time for one. This treatment made my hair feel nice for about 24 hours, and then it was back to being brittle. Will not be back and do not recommend. read more

I had an AWFUL experience getting eyelash extensions here. I wanted a more natural look but that was not what I got. I was very unsure when the tech revealed them to me-she said I would "get used to them". After I left the building I sat in my car for 5 mins and decided they were too big and not me. So I called and let them know, but the tech said I needed to wait for 24 hours to come back. I came the next day and she removed a few lashes to make them less full and dramatic. This would have been fine except after that day they pretty much all fell out in one day. I wanted a refund-rightfully so-but tanya the owner basically said because I left the salon initially "happy" they couldn't give me my money back. I asked even for a partial refund and she said the only thing she could offer me was another full set of lashes, which I did not want. I eventually went to the BBB because I felt really unfairly treated. Tanya stated it was "user error" even though I followed all the directions. Bottom line Tanya was very rude, condescending, and not willing to refund me for a botched service. read more

I just want to start by saying that I have never been treated so disrespectfully when bringing an issue to an owner. While visiting family in PA, I went in to get a keratin treatment done by Cali; she claimed to have done many treatments and saw my hair before agreeing to it. When she began blow drying my hair, she used a flat brush and didn't even separate it. Since her hair was straightened so smoothly, I decided to trust her. During the entire treatment, my hair was constantly being pulled and the stylist continuously dug her brush and comb into my head. My head was being yanked around, I came up out of my seat, and I expressed a couple of times that I was being hurt. Once she was done, I went to look in the mirror and saw that my color had been stripped and my hair was greasy. They said I could make another appointment with Cali to get my hair colored, but I declined because I didn't want her to touch my hair again. Once I got over the orange, I noticed that there were still curls all along my roots and the next morning I had scabs all over my head from her digging into my scalp. I went back to address my concerns to the owner and she became incredibly rude very quickly. She continuously ignored the fact that her stylist was unable to blow dry and flat iron every curl out of my hair, claimed that she didn't see the scabs, said my hair should be greasy after it, and went back and forth on whether the product stripped the color. She started by saying that it does, then said that it wasn't her product and that my previous stylist didn't properly color my hair and that my natural color was still showing. So I asked what color she was claiming to be my natural color and she said it was "dark". I told her that she was incorrect because my natural hair color is an incredibly light brown/dark blond so she got in my face inches away from me and told me she was the professional and I didn't know anything. She offered me $16 and told me to leave. I have had treatments put on my hair following a color, every bit of research I did stated that a color should be done before a keratin treatment, the website of the product used states that a color can be done before a treatment, and I told the stylist that I had colored my hair the week before. I have since discovered that it was greasy because there was too much product and that led to the ends of my hair being burnt. Not only did Cali not perform the service properly, but she ruined a $300 color and I am going to have to have about 3 inches of burnt hair cut off. read more

I have been getting haircuts by Tanya for over 10 years. She does an excellent job with my short hair style. It looks soft and feminine. The atmosphere is unlike most salons. It's upbeat cheerful and the music is uplifting and not too loud. The location is ok. The facilities are nice but my hair stylist did nothing but throw herself at me the entire time. Very unprofessional. She even asked me out even though I said I was married. her name was Collene I believe. Sorry, but even men can be put off by such disregard for someone elses constitution. I cannot speak to the nail or spa services, but the hair salon services are top notch! Vanessa was my stylist, and was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Since it was my first time as a customer of hers, she spent ample time doing a consultation with me. We looked through magazines, pictures on her phone, etc to find the perfect color that I had a hard time verbalizing. As far as the cut consultation, she really listened to what I wanted that day plus took into account the fact that I plan on growing it out. She did an absolutely fabulous job, and I will be a customer of hers for life! The salon itself was very clean and the decor was nice. I was offered a beverage upon arriving (delicious coffee!). The other stylists also seemed friendly and warm. I consider it to be an upscale salon (I have lived in Philly and Miami), but the prices were reasonable and no one had a pretentious attitude. I have curly hair. For years I have been looking for a stylist and was referred to Elise at Expressions by a girl I saw in public who had a great curly hair cut. When I explained what I did not want in a curly hair cut, Elise knew exactly what I was talking about. She also did not use a razor on my hair. She did not change my hair drastically, she simply listened to what my wishes were and explained that it would need to be shaped and maintained over a few visits. She was correct, and already I can see that the lines in her cut were right for me. I was very pleased with her knowledge and consultation. honestly, this was the worst experience i've ever had. i was referred to joanna. she did partial highlights in my hair. i knew something was weird when she told me that she didn't want to use the colors i wanted to make my hair as blond as i wanted. she told me it would turn my hair a weird color.. and when i came out of the salon, my hair was ashy! i have naturally curly hair, its very thick and it gets very wild when it is not tamed.. i figured she used that as an excuse to put layers into my hair and not let me find out about them until i left the salon. i DID NOT want layers at all.. i told her that so many times and SHE STILL LAYERED MY HAIR. she DOES NOT listen to customers what so ever. i paid $115 for the entire trip and tipped her $30 because i thought everything looked okay from afar. she never asked me how i wanted my hair.. curly or straight.. when i left. when i got home, i straightened my hair like i usually do.. i started crying because my hair looked so thick at the longest layer, and the underside of my hair looked like i had very bad extensions in... the least she could have done was make the layers, that i didn't want in the first place, even!!!! i was and still am very disappointed. never again will i go to this salon! read more
