I wanted a curly haircut rounded she gave me a bob. It not even look good. I felt frustrated. I felt upset. I felt like it could be partially my fault because I did not give the communication that I have to give part. I gave a paper of an inspiration photo for a rounded cut because my hair was originally big and rounded. I wish that that she can do like a round cut with my original hair that I had from the beginning she said OK she needed to wash my hair and stylist so she can see my curls. My hair look smaller so she assumed it was possible based on what she can do and what based on her opinion of my hair, she gave the best what she can do work with it, but I ended up hating it because it's not what I felt like it was it's not what I agreed on and at the end she was honesty and she was not honest to be on the first part so if you're reading this, make sure you're going to a hair place that they're honest with you sure you're honest with them about your hair talk to them about your hair and what you want. Do not let them make their opinion of your hair and make it messed up like mine if you want to go to this place still then be my guest, but make sure you have these things in mind because because if you one person might mess it up, I got a curly haircut and she my hair. I like. she rushed my hair and I feel like I did not get any options. I did not get any good treatment. I did not feel like my hair looked that good. I felt like I did not. I was really upset and I was crying to be with you. I was frustrated because this is how my hair ended up. Why couldn't they be honest with me? Why wasn't I honest with myself? Why did I ask for this pattern now I have to be pressured and I have to speak up at the end. They just said they have to grow my hair longer. If you understand anything out of this cool if you did not, and still don't just let me tell you this if you ever haircut, you would understand OK and if you nobody treated your hair based on their liking you understand, she cheated my hair based on her opinion, treated my hair based on her opinion and that's all that she can literally do with my hair. My experience varies and my opinions may be unique. I had my hair cut with this company for a couple years This was back when they had different locations. Most of the time they did a great job and I had no complaints. I think most people agree their prices are high and generally their prices keep going up as your barber/stylist's continues working and gaining experience. I realized towards my last few months I wasn't getting my hair washed with my haircuts. I realized the prices kept going up, but I didn't realize getting your hair washed wasn't included either. It might be my fault for not asking or pointing this out about this not being included in the service. I just don't think a customer should ask, especially a longterm customer that was receiving shampoo/washes before. Most employees at Legion, during that time only did women's hair. This made the selection of barber/stylist for men very limited. I distinctly recall one time when the owner Michael was trying to teach one of the girls how to cut a men's hair cut on my hair. I felt like the Guinea pig. I thought my haircut would have been charged a lower rate, because the way they charged at this business was based on what level their employee is with experience. This guinea pig haircut cut took twice as long for the service because of the education the owner was providing his employee and the costs of my haircut was charged at the highest costs with the level - experience, which was charged by the owner Michael. There became a point where I decided to take my business elsewhere. Frequently the lemoyne shop was never opened on time by Jodi. I would be waiting in the parking lot in my vehicle from fifteen to thirty minutes until the front desk employee showed up to open the doors. Once she came into work quite intoxicated. On occasion my appointments were behind scheduling, but when I have to wait forty five minutes or longer on more than one occasion this was a bit excessive. My next complaint was getting my ear cut on two occasions by Lee with a razor blade, causing my ear to bleed excessively. Some of you might think I would have received 10% off because of the injury. Nope-Full price. Full disclosure- I'm not a barber/stylist so those who are can explain why would you need a razor blade for a men's fade. In the end I did bring all this information to the owner Michael privately in the parking lot. This was a very short conversation, because the owner did have a schedule to keep and he told me he didn't want what happened to me to happen to another customer by keeping them waiting. There was no follow up from the owner Michael so I just stopped going. I decided to move on and I've never looked back. read more

I had a so-so experience at first (it was an unconventional color on previously box-dyed hair so I accidentally set them up for failure) but when it didn't last even a few days, Legion went above and beyond to fix it. Now I (sound like a commercial but...) wouldn't go anywhere else! I have a history of hating "haircut small-talk" but Mitzi is a delight to talk to, as is the gentleman whose station is next to hers--Lee? (I'm so sorry if I got his name wrong.) I'm no expert but they're also both great barbers, from what I've seen happen in the chairs around me while I'm waiting for my color to develop! At other salons, my curly hair has been a hindrance to stylists--which I kinda get, it's weird and every curl is different--But I've never had a single issue here. Mitzi always tells me about the products she's using on my hair, but there is NO hard sell at all, which I really appreciate and makes me more likely to buy one from this place vs Ulta/Sephora/whatever. I've been struggling to find a good hair salon for YEARS now, however I no longer have to look because I've found the most amazing place ever. Jordi is absolutely amazing. I went in having absolutely clueless to what I wanted other than a trim, and she helped me determine what haircut would be best for my hair type. Along with that I have relatively wavy hair that I just started to learn to take care of, Jordi gave me some advice on how to take care of it and offered to set aside more time at my next hair cut to teach me more. Pros: place was clean, everyone was wearing a mask, and we were asked to wait in car until they were ready for us. Haircut wasn't bad and got the job done. Cons: The experience was just overall unsatisfactory for me. I didn't feel like I walked out loving how my hair felt and looked. Maybe it was the products used or the speed at which the appointment was completed (the cut was completed in about 10 minutes). My hair just didn't feel like it normally does after a salon visit. I went to the Legion in Lemoyne for a cut. The stylist cut my hair with dull shears and caused a short hair cut with all split ends. Looked like a frayed cotton ball. I went to the Legion in Colonial Park to get it fixed and the stylist there gave me a completely uneven lumpy shorter in the front longer in the back cut with uneven, half shaved sides & back... I couldn't wear up or down. It looked like I attempted to cut my own hair. The funny part is that the owner of both locations was there in the chair beside mine watching this go down. Mike is his name & he saw what this girl did to my head. The only advice or service he gave to me was this, and I quote "stop going short." Booo & how do you run a business like this?? Taylor did a great job with my blow out, given that my hair is medium length and extremely thick, she knew what to do to make sure it wasn't too frizzy or volumized. She's knowledgable about the products. It was helpful and very kind of her to explain all the steps even though I'm well aware of them it was still nice to know what products she will be using. I'd been coming to see Michael for over a year. His work was stellar. I recently received a mediocre cut that lasted no more than 10 minutes. When I returned home and washed out my hair, I found it uneven in the back and sides. I contacted the salon and they graciously refunded my haircut. Having been a patron for so long and having respect for Michael and his work, I decided to reschedule and give him another chance. When I went in for my next appointment I was made to wait 20 minutes past my scheduled time. When I sat down for my trim I was immediately accused of taking advantage of the salon for receiving a refund for a bad haircut and then rescheduling. Michael refused to cut my hair, refused to speak with me further, and asked me to leave. It's a shame that Michael would act so childishly when a dissatisfied patron offered him a second chance instead of taking his business elsewhere. read more

I had been coming here for a bit and while I enjoyed it and was happy with my stylist I saw a recent outburst from the owner which made me decide I no longer want to return. While I was getting my haircut I saw the owner treat another customer rudely and unprofessionally and then asked him to leave the shop. After the customer had left I saw an additional exchange between the owner and a staff member which continued to be unprofessional. One comment, I think Mike's boy spends afternoons in the salon when he gets out of school. Wow. I was in town unexpectedly and really needed a haircut; I'm from the H-burg area but hadn't been back in awhile and wasn't really expecting much in terms of finding a decent barber. I reached out to a friend who then recommended L&L and I'm glad she did. From letting me in a few minutes early so I could get out of the rain, to the exceptional cut, attention to detail and advice from Michael H., I can't recommend Lords and Ladies highly enough. My only regret is that I don't live closer so I won't be able to come in regularly. I have to add that, when Michael H. was finished,I was a bit stunned. I came in with a vague idea of what I'd wanted and he'd taken it to the next level. It took me about a day to get adjusted to my new cut/look but now I'm extremely happy with it and a friend of mine went out and got a similar cut the following day. Haircut - Brittany was friendly and communicated very well with me despite the fact that I'm not entirely savvy in terms conveying how I like my hair. She was attentive and took the extra effort to ask if I'd prefer my hair shorter as opposed to just snipping away. We used different products to see what'd suit me best and I walked out a happy customer. It certainly warranted a selfie. Atmosphere - I liked the clean and modern look of the place. The painting on the ceiling was definitely a nice touch and the decorations were simple, but pleasant to look at. Customer Service - Everyone was polite and courteous. They offered me beverages before and after the cut. The coat rack was in a convenient location behind the front desk. I found the hair wash quite pleasant and I certainly recommend taking them up on their offer. Timeliness - This segment is quite important to me as I operate on a tight schedule. Be forewarned, time varies given what you asked and I found Lords & Ladies to provide a more relaxing experience as opposed to a rushed one. Normally I'd dock points for that, but Brittany was being thorough, and I greatly appreciate both the effort and the result of it.
