RACIST!! This past Saturday was the Halloween event at Santee lakes and this center had a vendor there, during the trunk or treat there were about 3 little girls giving out flyers and handing out candy to EVERY CHILD, smiling, laughing, talking, being friendly. As soon my son went up to them and said trick or treat they immediately ignored him, gave him and myself the dirtiest look & acted as if he was nonexistent!! Even myself included!! And I noticed it's because he wasn't white like all the others that were interacting with those girls handing out flyers. Before we went up to them it was white parents/kids & the energy was there, soon as myself & my son went up to them it was completely different, after we walked away I turned around & they went back to acting friendly to of course other white kids/parents. I was so upset and couldn't believe young girls at that age could be so rude to another child that is a different color than them. I wanted to confront the parents of those girls but it was so hectic and crowded. Very upsetting and shame on those children & parents as well!! read more

We've been coming here for the last three years. The dance instructors and office team make you feel like you are part of a family. There are so many classes offered and there really is something for everyone. My daughter loves everyone here. They not only love dance but you can tell they really love and care about our children. Great studio for our toddler. We started taking Saturday morning class when she was 2 years old and it was fantastic. Teachers are so warm and friendly and best of all had a great structure to the Ballet/Tap class. I'm sure it wasn't easy having little ones running around but Ms. Alexandra was fantastic at teaching and keeping the girls engaged. I highly recommend the cardio dance class for adults on Tuesday and Thursday night, which has been challenging and a lot of fun!

It's a well organized, successful dance community with a mixed up idea of what inclusive actually means. If you have a son that likes to dance please consider going elsewhere. My son did not get a fair experience at EDMC. Because he is a boy he was short changed by the costume staff, recital staff and overall managing team. read more

We ABSOLUTELY LOVE this dance studio. My 21/2 year old has been taking classes here since she was just shy of her 1st birthday. We started in wiggles and giggles and we are now in the toddler classes. My daughter loves it!! The teachers are amazing and patient with the little ones and really adapt to the learning style of the class as a whole. It has been such a joy watching my daughter grow and learn new skills. She loves her class and her teachers, she loves to show us what she is learning. The dance class has really helped her to fine tune her listening and following directions ability while she having fun and learning about dance. She looks forward to it each week. I'm so glad I found Expressions for my daughter. She's in Kindergarten, but had been dancing there for a year and a half. She absolutely adores Miss Beverly and I couldn't ask for a better teacher. We just joined Expressions Dance after we grew out of another great studio in town. I was looking for a local dance studio and ran across Expressions Dance online. I was hesitant to join this studio after being very comfortable with our old studio but I'm glad we made the switch. My daughter is five and LOVES our new "dance class." The staff is very friendly and our particular class is large (17 students) but the studio is great and has two assistants in the class along with the main instructor so all the students get the attention they need. This is not a competition studio (which we love) but it is a great studio with a friendly staff and owner (who responds promptly to emails). This is a great dance studio for your little one. We are a new family that enrolled our daughter in classes. The customer service is amazing. The front desk receptionist is always eager & kind to answer my questions. The owner even reached out when my daughter was shy to start at a new studio. Every time I pick up my daughter from class & ask how it was, she is always excited & says she loves it. My 6 year old grand daughter has been dancing here for 2 years. The classes are ok, but the studio is small & you can't sit inside and watch. The biggest complaint I have is regarding the 2 performances they do. The costumes are expensive & the performances are horrible! The show has dances performed by adults and the majority by older kids who are on traveling dance teams. It's sooo long, boring, disorganized and very unprofessional. The poor kids are there 1 hour before the 3 hour performance & don't get lunch or dinner until it's over & they leave. My other 5 year old grand daughter dances in north county & her school rocks! Night & day difference. If you enroll your child here skip the recitals. read more

I knew a few people involved at this studio (dance parents and employees), so I figured it was a good studio. I went to one of their recitals the other day for the first time, and I was blown away! The variety of dance styles, the enthusiasm of the kids. You can tell the dance teachers there foster creativity, self-worth, confidence, and FUN.
