I wasn't impressed. I am glad I was able to try a free class before committing to the monthly plan. My child is in the 2nd age group, so this review is solely based on an age younger than 2yrs old. The instructor was very sweet and I was given a quick tour of the facility upon arrival. However I had such a hard time hearing anything the swim instructor was saying! Nor could my child focus on me because it is so loud in the pool area. I could not see this worth the amount of money they were asking for if I and my child were struggling to understand what was going on for 30 minutes. It was just entirely too chaotic. read more

Our daughter is 6years old and refused to give up her floaties. We had to get her into lessons and Aqua tots was nearby. We signed up for 2x/week, and by week 4 she was fully swimming unassisted! The amount of milestones made in a short period time was amazing. She started off nervous and crying but coach Katherine was amazing! She was made for this job. Customer service here is amazing. From the receptionist's to the coaches. They have a swim store in case you forget your gear and they have snacks for your little ones to buy. Private changing stalls. Women and men's restrooms and a vanity station. Ample seating with front row viewing so you can watch your little ones thrive. Our coach was Kara, she provided extra TLC with my son who has ASD. Patience, smiles and care. You can really see that she absolutely loves her job. It definitely shows why and how she is the district manager. I'm grateful my sons first swim lesson was with her. He was super comfortable. Her feedback was good, more than we expected. And we are so happy. We're hopeful for our sons future. Unfortunately my son needs one on one classes and they don't offer that at the moment, so we will have to find another provider. This place has to be an absolute money printer. TLDR: Fantastic spot if you need an activity to tire out your kids, but if you're expecting them to actually learn to swim this decade, you might want to come back down to reality. The Longer Story: I've had two kids enrolled here, one for about a year, the other for two years. My son was initially a cat in water, so my daughter inherited his account and powered through Level 2 and 3, eventually dragging her reluctant brother along for the ride. Level 2 is the parent-and-kid splash fest. It's adorable watching your 2-year-old (cutoff is 2.5) get comfortable with water on their face and holding their breath. But let's be honest, that's pretty much the entire curriculum. If you're outcome-focused, 6-8 weeks should cover it. Any longer and you're just paying for pool time with extra steps. Level 3 is where my kids have been stuck in purgatory for over a year now. Don't get me wrong they love it here. The water, the coaches (we've had 7+, all genuinely great), the whole experience has been positive. But there's clearly no master plan to actually advance these kids toward, you know, swimming. The coaches dutifully run through their scripted routines, the kids have a blast, but measurable progress? That ship sailed after week 8. Case in point, my daughter was retrieving rings from the bottom of the pool with me when she was TWO YEARS OLD in Level 2. Fast forward a full year in Level 3, and they're just now encouraging her to pick rings off the bottom. Groundbreaking stuff. My son went from aquaphobic to confidently dunking his face underwater in about 5 weeks--which was genuinely great, we never actually thought we'd get there! But that was NINE MONTHS AGO. I honestly cannot tell you a single additional skill he's learned since then. At this rate, he'll be doing the same assisted back float when he's applying to colleges. Bottom Line: This is an excellent place for an activity, a way to burn energy, and some Instagram-worthy pool videos. But if you're signing up thinking your kid will progress toward independent swimming in any reasonable timeframe, prepare for disappointment (and a significantly lighter wallet). We've dropped over $2,500 here, and all we have to show for it is some cute footage and two kids who enjoy splashing around, which, let's be real, we could've achieved with a sprinkler and zero investment. read more

My son's swimming has improved immensely at Aqua Tots. There is no re-start every session, which means they don't retest his skills with each teacher. Instead they keep track of his progress after each class. He moves up levels as soon as he's ready. The flexibility of scheduling is also fantastic too. My two kids ages 4 and 6 have been taking Aquatots for a whole year. My daughter (6) started in level 4 and my son (4) started in level 3. They had been previously taking similar group lessons for 2 years before we moved here. While my son was able to move to level 4 to join my daughter part way through the year, my daughter has been in the same level all year, with mild progress. We initially started with 2 lessons a week, but when I saw that they weren't really getting better at such an astronomical cost, I cut back to 1 class a week. When I asked to drop down the number of classes, they did ask for reasons and feedback. When I told them I felt like there was little to no progress, they would schedule free "play dates" that are more 1 on 1 with an advanced instructor. Those were mildly helpful, as they got more swim time during the 30 minute session. Things I liked: - Great location, easy parking, next to grocery store - Staff very nice - Ease of scheduling and dropping classes on app - clean bathrooms and changing areas - kids love the lollipops as motivator/reward Things I disliked: - Make up classes just keep piling up with no time to use them (you get a make up class when u miss a class or if they have to cancel for any reason/holiday/poop in the pool (but you already got billed for these classes) - the whole place feels like a zoo/very loud/overstimulating - expensive - very limited swim time during the session, lots of time my kids are just goofing off with each other and not practicing skills I think this may work for some families and perhaps with younger kids who need exposure to the pool. But if you want your kids to learn to swim safely, it'll take a lot of time and money to get there. read more

It's an okay swim school. The instructors are hit or miss. There isn't really consistency between them. Instructor A will say this is how things are supposed to be, but Instructor B will say they don't know why A said that because it should be done this other way. Some instructors don't really care and it seems as if they're just trying to get through their shift, others play favorites with the students/parents and don't pay much attention to the others, and many don't remember how my child did at the end of class. They'll say your child really struggled with doing technique X and you should do such and such to help improve. But I'm in the water with them, and my child literally didn't struggle with that technique. Sometimes I'll get an apology saying that it's hard to keep up with all the kids, but the classes I'm in are mostly 3 students. It's frustrating. read more
