Expressions - Cut and color(I'm an original brunette)(this is two days after) - Hair Salons Near Me - Orange Park, Florida

I absolutely love this salon. Let's preface this review by stating that I live in Virginia. I don't even live in this state anymore but anytime I am in town I stop here and have Linda cut my hair. That's how much I love this shop. I first started coming here after my mother started using Linda as her hair dresser. She has very thin fine hair and was not happy with the stylists she has used before. When this shop opened, she found Linda and hasn't been anywhere else since. My hair is the complete opposite. I have thick, very long hair, and I have a TON of it. It's wild and unruly and always looks like a hot mess. Linda somehow manages to make my hair look amazing every time I come. This is a full service place so you can get a bunch of other stuff done here as well. Color, nails, wax; it's really a one stop shop. I came in today because we are about to take a cruise and I wanted to look my best. I cut about 10 inches off my hair and was very nervous. Linda make it look great as usual. She listened to what I had to say and gave me honest input. The price is reasonable and well worth it. read more

I have been going to Linda for 4-5 years. I recently called her to ask for a lightening rinse since when she dyed my hair a few days earlier it was too dark. She argued that it wasn't and said that I may have CATARACTS!!!!! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!! I have never been spoken to like that before as a customer. I have been a loyal customer even though every time I left her salon my hair was a different color-even my family noticed it but I just accepted it. She told me she was dropping me as a client. Who does that to a loyal client and who talks to a client like that? She also never wrote down the color she used on me(other salons I had gone to before always kept a record of the color). She would just ask me "What color did we use on you last time?" I had to try to remember, seriously? When she asked me last time "what color" I told her I think it was 7 "light golden brown" but when I called to get it lightened she said "NO, you never said "light golden brown"--calling me a liar. I have chosen not to return to this place. read more

My sister recommended Barbara, who is her hair stylist, and her hair always looks amazing. AND WOW!! This is absolutely the best hair cut I've had years! I have been going to get my hair cut, colored and whatever I need for my hair for over 10 years. Now there is a very good Esthetician. I thought I was just going to get a facial. Have had very few in my life. Was I wrong. She is a very experienced and knowledgeable at what she does. I was waxed, had a chemical peel and my eye brows were a disaster. She is a miracle worker. I couldn't be happier with the results I got. I didn't have an appointment & just walked in. Wendy was my stylist, and OMG, she not only did a fantastic job with my damaged & wild hair, but I was in and out in an hour even without an appointment. She has great instinct into what style and service would be best yet always follows my idea too and it ends up looking great. Her prices have always been fair, she's always professional, she listens and makes going to get your hair done fun :) Linda the owner is also super knowledgeable and willing to help with her advice & more. Linda helped me out once without hesitation on a very bad hair day when she was getting ready to go. I used to never make appointments and always just got my hair colored & cut by a quickie walk in place when I had the time and could afford it. I LOVE this salon. As always, Wendy is very accommodating to my busy work schedule and can fit me in when I need her. Her cutting technique is spot on, she always makes my hair perfect. I usually don't need allot of cut work done, but her lines are always straight and I have long hair. She is a fabulous colorist. I don't have extraneous color on my skin, scalp..again perfection. I would recommend her higher, but then y'all might take my appointment spot when I need her most! She is great! read more

All I can say is Ginger is the only person I will allow to touch my hair!! I found her at another salon and followed her to Expressions. She is a genius! After moving to Jacksonville 5 1/2 years ago I went off recommendations and tried a few salons around town, once leaving with pink hair (it was a complete disaster!). I then, FINALLY, found Ginger. Letting her know my trust issues she eased me back in and totally won me over. Cut, color, style. She's my girl! wasnt really happy, the stylist didnt really spend much time with me, she tended to other customers while I waited for her to finish my blow out. She didnt even style it, when I asked her about add volume she begrudgingly added product to my hair. Which was flat by the way, I wasnt happy with my hair at all. I felt like an inconvience. I was really disapointed and then paid $25 + I still tipped her. I wont be back. read more
