She was able to get me in early on a Saturday morning and did such a great job! She is personable, funny, and makes the time fly by. The salon is simple but pretty, and all the women are sweet and personable. They have snacks, coffee, soda, and water for refreshments. There were a constant stream of people coming in for a variety of services, so it was apparent they do well for themselves. When you check in on Yelp, you get $10 off your service! The price of a haircut and color actually ended up being less than what I normally pay, so that was a pleasant and pleasing surprise. Thank you Amanda and Salon Cashmere for such a wonderful job. By December 2021, my hair had finally grown out a bit, but came in much darker than it had been previously. It was depressing! I read about Hidden Hills on Next Door and then checked out their website, which includes info on each stylist. I decided to book an appointment with Vanessa, because she is from SC, same as me, and it seemed we had some things in common. Vanessa highlighted my very short hair and gave it a little trim to shape it up. When Vanessa washed out my hair and pulled the towel off, I saw myself in the mirror, looking more like the "real" me than I'd seen in almost a year! I shed a few tears and pretty sure Vanessa did too. Yesterday I went back to Vanessa for another highlight and trim. My hair had grown a LOT, but my roots needed help! Well, Vanessa did it again! It took longer to do the highlights this time since my hair was longer, but Vanessa patiently painted the solution onto my hair and wrapped it in foils. Once again, Vanessa hit a home run! It's going to take a long time for my hair to get back to its previous shoulder + length. But every day I feel closer to the "old" me, and Vanessa's expertise is a big part of that! Going through something traumatic like cancer is one of the hardest things I've ever done. I feel blessed to have found a friendly and caring hair stylist like Vanessa. I was excited to try a new stylist after…read moreseeing her work on IG (Avery) and was prepared to spend more than I normally would, but I walked out feeling frustrated and like I didn't get what I paid for--especially at a $300 price point. The appointment started off uncomfortably when the stylist next to me overheard what I do for a living (title insurance) and commented that I work in "legalized extortion." Not only was this wildly inappropriate, it made me feel awkward and judged right from the start. I had a thorough consultation with my stylist and we agreed that to achieve the look I wanted--light ends contrasting with a deeper base--I'd need a full lightening service rather than the partial that was originally quoted. I agreed to the upcharge with the expectation that I'd get the desired result. Unfortunately, that's not what I got. Instead of a smooth, dimensional color, I ended up with chunky highlights, a grown-out root look, and ends that are still noticeably darker than the base. It looks like a rushed job and not at all the intentional contrast we discussed. To make things worse, there are two very obvious bright white spots at my hairline where toner was completely missed. I brought this up when I got home and noticed it (Avery really should have caught them when washing or styling my hair, they're quite obvious) and the stylist did offer to fix it, but her availability didn't line up with mine. I explained that I couldn't take another hour and a half off work to come in during the week, given the 30+ minute drive each way, which she knows because we live near each other. Rather than showing understanding, she got defensive and told me it wouldn't take long and that I should reach out to the salon owner if I had further concerns. The one bright spot in all this (well, other than the 2 in my hairline) is that the haircut turned out well, which is the only reason I'm giving two stars instead of one. But overall, this was a frustrating experience with results I'm unhappy with and a lack of professionalism I didn't expect from a salon at this price point. I won't be returning.

She is soo kind and skilled beyond my past hairdressers in Jacksonville. I received beautiful highlights and some lowlights to build dimension. Then, she convinced me ( nudge nudge smile) to change my part to the other side and shaped / cut my hair to my face shape and styled my hair to accommodate the fine hair. My hair looked fuller and healthier and lifted beautifully and naturally. Christina has a talent and I wouldn't go anywhere else.
