I love the atmosphere of this place it is very relaxing and inviting and that is important to me. I wish I could have given a 5 star review. The mother & daughter team here are probably lovely people, but it's just not what it's cracked up to be - especially at their price point! First of all, I went to this salon 8 times since beginning of 2018 - 4 times for colour, 4 times for cut & colour. My first few appointments were great - fantastic consultation, she actually listened to what I needed/wanted, and a focus on detail! But then she got overly comfortable with me (or too busy, not sure) and the quality of experience declined over time. The last 2 times I went, my hair cut came out terribly - the layers aren't really layers, the lengths on either side of my part aren't even at all (NOT part of the style!), and for whatever reason there's this long random strip of hair in the back amongst all these uneven layers. It looks absurd & is a pain to style. The color didn't end up being what I wanted at all either despite previous visits with her. I paid a good amount of money for this...not happy. The good news is my hair grows super fast and it'll be gone soon, but I was even more ticked off that for the last two times she wasn't even paying attention to what she was doing with the scissors. Instead she was joking with the other clients/stylist and walking away from the station multiple times. Please, stop the chatter and just focus on what you're doing, especially when you're cutting hair! The quality isn't helped by the fact that they have no receptionist most days (or at least, i have never seen one!) and so the stylists are managing both front office tasks and cutting hair. It's a ton of work and time away from the client. Because (as of 12/18) there were only 2 stylists, either the phone is ringing off the hook or they're trying to do 5 things at once! It can be really chaotic! They also brought puppies into the Salon at one point in the Fall, which is totally ok for me (maybe not for others with a dog allergy), except that upon entering the salon I nearly walked into a gigantic pile of dog poop right in the lobby. Nobody seemed too phased by it and were more focused on making sure their grandchild was having a good time. I realize that puppies do this and it wasn't their fault, but, really? And I'm about to shell out $150+ for this experience? Oh, and Don't even try to get a weekend appointment from May through October, they're one of the few gigs in town, so that means that they're too busy with weddings on weekends to have appointments in the salon - good for them, bad for regular clients :/ read more

This is my favorite place to be on spa day. The atmosphere is welcoming and the mother-daughter duo are two of the most talented hair stylists I've met. Reid Roberts does extraordinary work, she is a hair wizard. Anything I bring to her, she recreates 10x better. Patience is key with wild hair requests, hair care is their first priority!
