I've come in with ideas, pictures, and sometimes nothing and he always seams to nail it. Every freaking time. I've recommended him to others including my mom. Sometimes I just tell him "hey man, just use your magic" and he'll cut and style my hair in a way that looks best. Geno is the manager. He's a really nice gentleman and a classic Barber. For the the guys that want a classic Barber cut - ask for Geno. The location is Perfect right at one of the entrances of the mall. The shop is clean, new, and super nice. Everytime they have moved locations Geno has brought his fashion along. So Def be sure to check out his unique fish tank and engage him in conversation about it. Since then, I've made loyal customers of my husband, my mother, my two sisters, and two friends. Kathy does great work with all textures and styles. But as someone who has curly hair, it's particularly difficult to find a good hairdresser. Every curly girl I've ever sent Kathy's way has been overjoyed. She knows exactly how to prevent the dreaded triangle-headed effect, and while she will counsel you on frizz-taming products, she definitely won't push them. I've never had a bad experience with Kathy. Kathy converted a room of her home into a full-functioning salon. (The first time I went to her, I was a bit confused to be driving through a suburban neighborhood.) But as a result, she's able to charge a lot less, even though she has decades of experience. I used to go to pay around $45 a cut for inconsistent results; Kathy is half the price and always perfect. I have really curly hair and I was not expecting to have any luck with my hair. I am not from Rochester so I was even more skeptical! But once I called Kathy and set up an appointment, I had known she knows her stuff. The first half hour I was there, we just talked about what I use in my hair, how i style it etc etc. She went through the dos and don'ts especially with curly hair. She then proceeded to show me where my hair was cut wrong, how many inches she needs to take off in order for it to be healthy. Any question I had, she answered no problem. She cut my hair, layered it and straightened it for me so I can see the layers and it is beautiful! I will be coming back in a few months for a trim but I recommend this lovely lady to anyone!! Not only did she cut my hair, but she really pampered me with a beautiful styling. She gave me exactly what I needed, and helped me getting a little bit of refresh while I am pregnant.
