My daughter went to speech here for about five to six months in 2017. She never really warmed up to…read morethe therapist but that wasn't necessarily the fault of the therapist. I'm giving them one star because of what happened after we stopped going. I had always paid my copay at the time of the visit every visit. At one point I asked if I had reached the maximum number of visits covered by insurance and was told that I had not yet and that when and if it happens they could ask for approval for more. We quit in late October 2017. I never heard anything about owing any money or that insurance had stopped paying until a year later when I received a letter from a collections agency for $112.28. I immediately called and spoke with Valerie who claims they sent me three bills that were never paid. I never received any bills from them. Because it was already in collections she claimed they couldn't do anything else. At no point did anyone call me to tell me my insurance visits had run out or that I owed any money. Since I had always paid my copay and never received anything from them I assumed that either I had not reached the maximum number of visits or that if I had that insurance had approved additional ones. Now this bill for $112.28 is on my credit report as past due and my credit is irreversibly damaged. I would think that after having established a personal relationship with the staff and the therapist and having always paid in full on the day of the visit, they could have reached out via email or phone. I'm extremely disappointed with how they treated us. As an update to this review. Over a year later, the collections is the only negative not perfect item on our credit report. Yet because of $112.28 the mortgage we are currently applying for will have a significantly higher rate. Our credit fell from 830 to 690 all because of the incompetency of CSTCs billing department. It is going to cost tens of thousands of dollars in extra interest. Words cannot express my discontent and frustration.

Miss Laiba loves these kids so much. Every morning, my daughter walks in the door and runs to Miss Laiba to give her a huge hug. She then tells us everything she has done for the day and every kid, because they all get along so great! This past year (during COVID) since we were home, we decided to start potty training. It was not going too well. Once daycare opened back up with precaution, we let Miss Laiba know that we were trying to potty train. We found out our daughter was not ready. We revisited it a few months later when Miss Laiba felt she was ready. She suggested I purchase a specific type of under pants, which I did. Guess what? About 1 week later, we were potty trained. Miss Laiba is truly a gift. We cannot recommend her enough.

My toddler on two occasions has been found eating asphalt from their broken toddler playground, whilst their teachers are sat in a corner on their phones, chatting, yet management does nothing, we have requested she doesn't play there anymore, but why are they even letting toddlers play in an unsafe area, and not being properly monitored. Our toddler on multiple occasions has come home with severe diaper rash, so we make it a point to check her diaper before we leave and staff even argue amongst themselves as to who should change the diaper, after you tell them she has a soiled diaper. We have also found the toddler teacher completely left the room to go to the outside playground to take a call leaving at least 6 toddlers in the classroom unattended for at least 10min, while I came to drop off my toddler, this was brought to management, they did nothing. Their ac stopped working a few weeks ago in my child's classroom and they did not make it a priority to get it fixed, in this hot weather even though it was brought to their attention several times, they have also had issues with billing being incorrect too. The list goes on. This place needs a deep clean, equipment needs upgrading and bottom line management needs to be changed.

We signed up for the weekly Phonics Program and there was a significant lack of communication between the Phonics instructor and parents regarding what is being covered on a week to week basis. We also encountered many billing issues during the first year of our tenure. The final straw came when the Director advised us they would stop bussing to/from my daughter's elementary school. This had been a service offered for many years but was discontinued due to 'logistical" reasons. Her recommendation was that I transfer to Oakton KinderCare which is not convenient for us, costs more, and has some questionable online reviews. For the amount of money that I paid over the years, I would have expected to have been treated better than this. If you select this daycare, just know when push comes to shove that the almighty dollar comes first, not your child!

I had him in a home day care up until that point, but was completely unsatisfied with them. As a mother, you only want the best for your kids. Since I have no choice but to work full time, I want to know that my child is being well taken care of. The feeling that I get from Horizon and their amazing staff is a warm fuzzy feeling. Horizon is technically a day care center, but it's different than most. It is small enough to have a homey feel and there are not so many kids that they get lost in the shuffle (not to mention their cost per week can't be beat). I love watching my son run in there in the morning and walk around like he owns the place. He is at such comfort when he is there, and that's because these women truly love my son; they treat him like he is their own. Sue, the director has such a great presence at Horizon. She not only loves these kids, but loves her job; and you can tell. I have even run into her on the weekends shopping for groceries for Horizon. When you have people in place that love what they do, it reflects in our children. From the baby room with Ms. Molly, who is every bit of an angel here on earth, to the amazing women in the Pooh Room where my son is now, to even the older kids room, they all know my son and stop to love on him all the time. This Minnieland is incredibly organized with a curriculum for each age group, menu and communications sent out on a weekly or recurring as needed basis. Of course when little kiddos start they are more reserved about getting dropped off but the staff opens their arms and hearts to the kids and we feel so happy knowing they are taken care of while we are at work. Included are various activities as well such as Ice Cream truck days (truck pulls up and you grab your ice creams upon leaving, or sundae making upon parent pickup on occasion, holiday activities and Trunk or Treat (decorate vehicles at Halloween and the kids get to trick/treat in the parking lot) among other events too that are fun for the kids and families. Due to moving from Atlanta, this is our third preschool experience and Epiphany has the spark of magic I want for my kids. The community events help me reflect on the changes in nature and the joy of friendship. The staff have this ability to remember all that each young child holds most precious, while also having the patience to get them dressed in the right gear for all the different weather. (The gear is important, but they give great lists to help parents be prepared and we've been able to get almost everything on Buy Nothing from our Neighborhood group so it hasn't added extra cost.) My kids are both more practical and more imaginative from the time at Epiphany. I am grateful for the space for kids to really get to be who they are and fully seen.
