While she did make some improvements in her mobility she was not able to transfer out of her bed or wheelchair without assistance. She also wasnt able to walk independently with a walker during her last PT session yet they still seemed to think 8 hours of in home care upon returning home would be adequate. They sent us with a wheel chair that she cant even use because due to her arthritis she cant bend her knee enough to use the foot rests!!! They didnt give me a list of equipment I needed to get (aside from wheelchair, walker, and bedside camode) when her in home caregiver arrived this morning (her first morning at home) she asked about a lift belt and she was shocked they didnt send her with one. My mother ended up back in the ER after a sleepless night for both of us with her in so much pain. Encompass refused to take her back and her physician there blatantly LIED to her ER Dr about her abilities prior to discharge. The DR in the ER absolutely didnt belive them as she has eyes on her now and can see how in pain she still is. What they have done is criminal and I am FOURIOUS that they would out right lie to cover their asses. Believe all the one star reviews and try somewhere else, the hospital is now working on getting her transferred somewhere else with, hopefully, competent staff. STAY AWAY is my only advice here.

I have literally never seen any establishment run so poorly, administration wise. I was an admin…read morefor over 10 years and would have been fired on the spot for the incompetency we encountered here...not just once, but several times. The therapists were (mostly) fabulous, but everything else was so bad that we immediately halted treatment. 1) they have an extremely strict policy of late/no shows and cancellations. You get charged for being even 7 minutes late. I understand it messes up their schedule, but what astounded me was almost every single appointment we had, the therapists were OVER 7 minutes late to bring us back. I asked them about this at our first appointment and the therapist swore up and down they would never be late, and that turned out to be extremely untrue. 2) they need to have more than one front desk person operating the desk. The average hold time is more than THIRTY MINUTES. That would never fly at any other decently managed business. 3) we had an emergency come up and were unable to make an appointment. Both husband and I called them ALL. DAY. trying to reschedule so that we wouldn't get charged the no show fee, even left a couple of messages. They were definitely open, but nobody ever answered the phone or called us back. The next appointment, I came in and mentioned this to the front desk lady and she said "oh yeah, I got your message at the end of the day and just forgot about it." again, I would have been fired on the spot for that. There is no excuse for a) not answering the phone ALL DAY during business hours, and b) not returning messages immediately or even the next day. 4) There has been more than one occasion where I arrived to check in and stood there for a long time with absolutely NOBODY in the office. One woman came in and sat down at her computer in the back, no cursory glace in my direction or anything. After politely waiting for a very long time, I knocked on the window. She looked over at me like I was interrupting her, and looked around for someone else to handle it. After another minute or so, she reluctantly got up and and acted like she had no idea what to do. I told her we were waiting to check in and she said "they're all in a meeting". I'm sorry, but if your office is in the front and there is a paying customer waiting, you should be trained in how to check them in at the very least. 5) their waiting room is migraine inducing. As much space as they have for the therapy rooms, you would think they would accommodate the waiting parents. Thankfully I was not one of the condemned that had to wait the entire appointment camped out in that torture box, but even waiting 5 minutes for our appointment to start had my teeth on edge. Kids run around screaming while the therapists come out and give a blow-by-blow rundown for the waiting parent. I don't understand why the parents aren't taken into one the many private areas to be given a summary of how their appointment went. I had a baby only months old who often would start crying from being bombarded by all the loud noises, and would have to haul her out into the hall where it was not much quieter with other screaming kids. Almost every appointment, curious kids would come up to my newborn in her carrier and invade her space, exposing her to germs she isn't old enough to be vaccinated for. All of that I could have dealt with, but the final straw came when they screwed up our billing. We were seeing them twice a week to treat my 2 month old's torticollis. At $19.99 each visit, it was starting to add up, and we were getting uncomfortable with how much we were spending on this, and since they weren't doing anything I wasn't already doing with her every day at home, I decided to cut it down to once a week, against their judgement. We had started going toward the end of December, and the receptionist kept warning us that our insurance would reset and our co-pay would change, but well into the middle of January it never did so I assumed it was just because we have great insurance. Then, out of nowhere, our co-pay was suddenly $99.99. I asked if it was going to be that price from then on, and she said "yes, until the deductible was met", and I said I would never have kept coming if it was going to be that expensive and to just cancel all our future appointments (which they never did, three times). I got a voicemail from the office manager asking us to call her so we could "work something out" and "get the baby the treatment she needs". I was too angry to call them myself so I had my husband call, and the manager flat out told my husband that they screwed up, and we should have been getting charged the $99.99 since the first of January, and we now had an outstanding bill of over $700. Avoid this place like the plague.

We appreciate how honest the therapist was about how she didn't see any underlying concerns with her in this area and was not pushy about continuing therapy sessions. But we did discuss perhaps occupational therapy to help her with feeding for future development. So we booked a few feeding OT sessions with Nadia and my daughter was in love with her from day 1. She was kind, patient and instantly connected with our daughter in trying to pin point the best way to encourage her to open up on how she interacts with food. Would highly recommend.

My son has been attending speech therapy sessions at Fairfax Pediatric Therapy since early January…read more He is almost 9 and has always struggled with his "s," "sh," and "ch" sounds - but we waited to see if he would grow out of it (he didn't). On recommendation of our dentist, we tried some videos to help him with speech, but we were not successful on our own. After a Zoom call with Ariel and Ahmad, the speech therapist, we felt very confident and comfortable with Fairfax Pediatric Therapy. After the first session, my son made huge strides in his "sh" sounds - he was actually able to articulate it correctly, even if it was a struggle. Long story short, as of today (3 months after starting) Finn has met all of his speech goals and no longer needs the services. Both Ahmad and Finn worked hard to make this happen - and in such a short time. I didn't expect progress so fast, to be honest. Not only that - my kiddo actually looked forward to the sessions. Ahmad took the time to get to know his interests - chess and strategy games - and built the sessions around play. When we left today, for the last time, Finn said he was going to miss his friend. Our son not only receives quality services from a therapist trained in dealing with young children through adolescents, but ECC's selection of these therapists is incomparable. ECC's therapists are not only up to date in the latest proven methods but are all caring, compassionate individuals who invest in your child. The benefits our son receives through ECC extend far beyond OT services. He's built a relationship with his OT which motivates and inspires him as a person. DRCE provides a comprehensive program to evaluate whether the person is capable of driving, designs a system to get them back on the road and modifies vehicles in their state of the art shop to accommodate special needs. In the past therapists working with the disabled and vehicle modifiers adapting vehicles for the disabled worked in different silos and talked past one another. DRCE integrates the entire process. Not only does DRCE service wounded warriors and other disabled persons wishing to get back on the road, they also provide independent driver evaluations for senior citizens. In my case, my wife and I wanted to provide other family members assurance that a senior family member was still capable of driving locally to familiar locations during the day. DRCE put this senior family member through a series of mental agility, coordination and on the road evaluations then delivered a comprehensive report on this persons ability to drive. The two co-founders, Josh and Tammy, are on site you work with them during the evaluation. Highly recommended for anyone who is disabled and wants to drive again or who wants to evaluate the driving capabilities of a senior family member.

The therapists are fun, engaging, and knowledgeable and the gym has many fun activities that my son enjoys. Everyone really cares, here, and parents are involved in the process. She was friendly, professional, patient and explained everything clearly. While small, the clinic was clean and offered free water bottles as a thoughtful touch for those who might have "shy bladder." If this is your first time visiting (like me), my one suggestion is allowing some extra time since the clinic is located in plaza of similar-looking office buildings. I would happily choose this clinic again.
