I FOUND MY TOOTH FAIRIES ON EARTH and it only took my most of my adult life to do it! I originally found this office from doing a Google search for a dental office that actually had good reviews. I don't know about you, but most of my experiences at the dental office have been unpleasant. More often than not, I have felt like just another person that fills a chair with no real personal care or plan. Once I saw the great reviews for here- I booked an appointment. That was almost 4 years ago, and I haven't gone anywhere since! My very first appointment here was probably the best one I've ever had at a dentist. I had just came from a dental office where I went with a problem of bleeding gums and all I was told was that there was a mouthwash I would have to use to correct the problem.... Pretty much forever lol and then sent right out the door. It went the complete opposite here though. I first met Dr Diana Barzano and she got me right together......she was so sweet that she gave me her cell phone number in case I had any questions or issues with my mouth after she got done working on me; I had a lot of issues going on. Despite what I had going on she made me feel super safe and actually cared for. Everyone in the office is an absolute sweetheart and extremely professional and knowledgeable. Dr. Val is another one of my favorites. I started taking my young son there and he loves her too. Although he is only nine, she and everyone else is very hands-on with dealing with him, especially since he can be pretty nervous in the office. I am so glad that I found them and don't plan on going anywhere else. read more

Dr. Welindt is hands down the best dentist I have ever been to. Here's my story: A few years ago I lost a tooth in a traumatic experience/accident. Knowing I was about to undergo a million dentist visits, I searched for the best and found it. Dr Welindt has EXCELLENT "bedside manner." His office is modern, bright, clean, and welcoming. Dr Burbick is the best! I went in today to get my crown completed and everything was fantastic! This appointment was the final out of a series of three appointments and I must say they were all equal in great customer service. The office itself is located in an older building but their portion has been completely redone. The waiting room is comfortable with the latest magazines and free bottles of water. I was greeted warmly by the front desk staff and then quickly brought back (before my appointment time) to begin my treatment. The dental assistant was very friendly and explained what they would be doing today. The treatment room was very clean, nice, and filled with the latest and greatest in dental technology. There office utilizes digital X-rays which I was told gives 90% less radiation than a normal traditional X-ray. Dr. Burbick proceeded to complete my crown. He was nice, funny, gave explanations, and was efficient! I give this office 5 stars all the way! Excellent care! Friendly! They are everything you want in a dental practice. This is the world class dentistry that we all dream about. Efficient (never any waiting EVER!!!!), professional, almost painless, technically state of the art (always seems to have some new digital tools and mechanical gadgets on hand, to say nothing of the normal array of medieval dental torture instruments all dentists collect). Everyone here seem to be very caring people, one and all. Dr. Burbick is the soul of confidence (he saved a tooth of mine that a high class endodontist shook his head at and said, "I'm afraid I'd just pull this one and do an implant................... (Read that as KA-CHING)") Burbick ignored that comment and seemingly, routinely, fixed the tooth and it has been fine for years now. The office staff are peaches one and all. The dental hygienists are top notch and EXTREMELY well equipped and trained (to say nothing of ALWAYS smelling great.. What else can I say? Well I'm not sure how the price here compares with other dental practices but I feel as though I've gotten my $$$$$ worth and more, if only in never worrying about my potentially disastrous outcomes............ Many years ago, I had to go through 3 dentists till I found Dr. Tage Welindt. He is not only extremely competent, but he has the best chairside manner ever, just so affable and kind. I cannot recommend him highly enough. I moved across the country almost a year ago, and I am giving a trial to my second dentist, because the first one was nothing like Dr. Welindt. I've always been impressed by their care and consideration of their patients ... they are all about conservative, preventive, care and conserving your teeth. This dentist will not just yank first! I've had some horrible dental adventures prior to Dr. Burbick ... which is why I'm very loyal and not quick to change practices (even though I could find a dentist closer to where I live). Wonderful place for the family. We got cleanings and exams from Dr Burbick and he was awesome!!! My 3 year old son had his first dentist visit and surprisingly had a blast. Dr Burbik was nice friendly and patient with him. The whole staff is friendly and warm and always there to help us out. State of the art dentistry, compassionate professional staff and a warm and inviting atmosphere, this is the best dental experience ever. The front desk crew is top notch, welcoming and efficient. Yesenia took my xrays and was gentle and thorough, checking more than once if I was comfortable. Sue the hygieniest did an amazing job, cleaned, polished my teeth and probed my gums, they look and feel great. I've gone here for 6+ years now and can say confidently that Dr. Welindt is knowledgeable, thorough, ethical, gentle, and personable -- all the things you'd want in a dentist. The staff are very professional - I'm a particular fan of Diana as a hygienist - and the office is really well run with great follow through about insurance, appointments, etc. They are responsive to getting you in quickly when needed and rarely if ever have I waited long once arriving for an appointment. I feel sorry for Dr. Welindt because I have never given him a chance ;) Dr. Burbick has been my dentist since my braces came off (and my kids now have braces so you have an idea of how many decades that has been). The place is bright and cheery and the staff are dim and dreary (I'm kidding!). They all seem so happy I would have suspicions if laughing gas was on the premises. I seriously dread the day when Dr. Burbick decides to hang up his mask because I love having a professional who is such a perfectionist (and has high expectations for his staff as well). My kids have always enjoyed going to the office. If there was one thing I would change about it is the cost but he's worth it. A close friend went elsewhere and her new Dentist so raved about the work in her mouth, that she decided cost-schmost and went back to him. She told me that and I have never gone elsewhere and drive an hour to get to the office. Yes, he's that good. As far as the other review that mentioned the building, it's not to my taste either, but it is on the historical buildings register because some famous modernist architect built it. I'd love to see the penthouse! If you don't LOVE your dentist, then you should give this office a try. read more

Best experience ever. My 90yo mom has had trouble removing her lower partial denture for the last few weeks. I don't know the best way to remove them, she had always done it. I was worried about inflammation. On Friday, before the holiday weekend they took me without an appointment. Everyone there is super nice and professional. The dental assistant, Sara, was amazing. He got the dentures out, cleaned them, showed me the best way to get them out.The dentist, Dr Burbick, examined her and showed me some inflammation and instructed me what to do. On the morning of my bridal shower I woke up in a panic, as one of my front teeth had chipped the previous night. (My tooth chipped in February and North Pier Dental in Chicago "fixed it" twice. However, those bonding attempts quickly fell off each time.) When I called Exquisite Smiles to see if they could squeeze me in first thing that morning, I was informed they were completely booked, as only one dentist was in that day. When I explained what an important weekend it was for me, Joann told me to come in and they would see what they could do. Dr. Welindt was able to squeeze me into his very busy schedule. He was extremely friendly, as was everyone in the office. Dr. Welindt made my chipped tooth look beautiful again. And just in time for my big weekend!
