My daughter was graduating from High School and we were having a beautiful backyard "Greek Feast" for 90 people. I love to cook and do a lot of it, but we wanted to enjoy our the party and visit with all the guests. I spoke with Gigi from Extra Hands For Your Events, who explained everything that a server would do to help us out so we could enjoy the party. I decided to hire them, since remembering this event was very important to us. Well all that Gigi said was true. Terry, our Extra Hands server, came on time asked for a tour of the kitchen and area where the party was being held. She asked for instructions on the food and when I wanted things to be served. She was always refilling the food, cleaning up plates and trash at the tables, and doing any dishes as they came to the sink. She even knew the right time to have the coffee ready. At one point just before the meal was out she walked over to me with a glass of cold water to make sure that I was drinking enough. I am used to doing all the work for parties and she knew to make sure I was having a good time. What a sweet heart she was to be thinking of me while she was making sure the food and party was going well. When she left the kitchen was spotless. Gigi's Extra Hands event service was a game changer at our backyard wedding. They MADE the day, and every single one of our guests commented on how outstanding the staff was. My husband and I got married this June at the Easton Beach Rotunda Ballroom. We had a unique situation where we hired a food truck to provide the dinner for the evening. Because of this, we needed to also hire a service that would provide additional staff members to help our chef and his staff serve our guests - from cocktail hour, to dinner and to dessert. We also needed this service to set up the Ballroom tables and chairs with the decor (linens, dinnerware, etc.), which included a number of DIY items we wanted to incorporate, from soup to nuts. We could not have been more pleased with Gigi's staff. They have worked many weddings at the Ballroom before, so we were comfortable knowing that they had everything under control. Additionally, Gigi's staff made the Ballroom just come alive with the way they were able to pull together all the dinnerware and decorative pieces we provided them. When I saw the Ballroom setup for the first time before our guests even arrived, I could not have been more blown away by how absolutely gorgeous everything looked - all thanks to the incredible work by Gigi's staff. What a treat having help for our son's engagement party. This was the first time we have used a service like this and we will certainly be using Extra Hands for Your Events again in the future. Gigi worked closely with us to help arrange our daughter's wedding (7/1/2018). The staff including the bartender were fantastic, very professional and very flexible. We had a few last minute changes to the plan, even a couple on the day of the wedding and her crew fully accommodated these changes even though it meant extra work for them. I guess the sign of an outstanding service crew is that you don't even know that they are working as they are "behind the scenes" and it appeared that things just happened in a positive way so that everyone concluded the evening feeling that the wedding was a complete success. They have my highest possible recommendation should you be considering them for your wedding plans. Gigi's experience and recommendations also made her quite valuabIe in questions around the wedding logistics. I cannot speak to their service for other sorts of functions but based on our experience I would have them service any other event we may consider for the future. read more

Gigi and her staff were amazing. This was our first time hiring a staff for our home party so I wasn't sure what to expect. I must say that extra hands exceeded any expectations we could have imagined. Throughout the whole process, Gigi was a bastion of knowledge. She aided us in creating a menu for 40 people, as well as helping coordinating timing and pacing of the party. Gigi and staff arrived on time (10 minutes early to be exact) and began the set-up of designated foods and drinks to be served. They took care of heating all foods that would be served to the guests. Throughout the time they kept the kitchen clean as they washed each dish and pan they came across. They changed the trash for us and did all clean-up after the guests had left. I wish there was a 6th star to give as I certainly would have given it to this company. Gigi's team was sent from heaven. We got married a week ago and the caterer we wanted to use does not offer catering staff. I went to Thumbtack in search of event staff to help out for the day and Gigi responded very promptly and professionally without trying to sell me additional services, etc, she knew exactly what we would need and fit into our budget. I consider myself Type A and figured I would spend a good part of the wedding day having to check in with the different vendors and keep things in check. This was not the case. Margaret and Sam allowed me to be a guest at my own party. In the past, it's been a challenge to hold our barn parties (usually over 125 guests). The price was right, the bartenders VERY professional, and Gigi herself was very responsive and helpful. I think that Gigi should rebrand to "extra hands you can trust!" I spent a lot of time planning my husband's 40th b-day party but when it came down to the wire I only had about an hour and a half to set up before guests arrived...and her team was a HUGE help. I always try to think two steps ahead and when I would approach Janice or Allyson about something they had already taken care of it. I hired a bartender and three servers from Extra Hands for my son's wedding in Boston and if I had to point to a single decision that made the wedding as wonderful as it turned out to be, it was hiring these four people from Extra Hands. I recently hired Extra Hands For Your Events to help me during a fundraiser. My fiance was going to surgery within 2 weeks to receive a kidney transplant and the proceeds of our fundraiser was to help the kidney donor. Due to the circumstances, I was under tremendous stress.
