Children's parties are easy to shop for here, gift bags, plates/cups/utensils, party favors, and decorations are organized by category. When I graduated college, I bought most of my decorating and invitation needs here. Hit the store up on a sale day, otherwise you may end up paying for overpriced things. On the whole, there is a good amount of cheap options alongside the more expensive ones. My most recent purchase was that of a plastic tiara with pink feathers as a gift card holder for a friend's graduation (inside joke but funny to see her wear it around at the party). Probably best to buy things sparingly here as things can add up quick. Just the essentials or hard to finds. Once you get over the spookiness of Party City (it somehow reminds me of a zombie apocalypse?) you can really make use of this silly place. As an event planner, I can generally rely on Party City to have many of the bits & bobs I need to add razzle dazzle to my events. Pink cowboy hat? Check. Gift bags in every color of the rainbow? Check. Plastic table cloths? Check. Balloons? Check. Let's talk about the balloons in particular, though. There are a few balloon options: 1 - Buy a package of balloons & have them fill them up behind the counter. They charge a filling fee. 2 - Bring in your own balloons & have them fill them up behind the counter. They charge a filling fee. 3 - Buy a package of balloons & fill it up elsewhere. You can buy a portable helium tank & fill them up at home, if you'd like. 4 - Buy one of their fancy balloons behind the counter & they'll fill it up. The cost of filling is included in the fancy balloon's price. I've tried every single on of these options. Recently, I indulged in #4 & it was ... not worth it. My big, shiny, fancy rainbow balloon made it 30 seconds out of the store until the wind ripped it off the ribbon it was (not so) secured to & it absconded into the sky. I had to laugh. Okay, anyways.
