Then came packing and moving days. Now I would refer to this company as A Pickup and a Couple of Guys. They immediately started to complain about how much they had to pack and how they had to leave at 5 so they weren't sure they could get it done. China was packed using cloth place mats which they had to hunt to find since the china and place mats were in different parts of the house. There was plenty of bubble wrap available. Crystal was thrown in a box with packing paper. Items were moved from one part of the house to another to pack so when we unpacked we were not able to find complete sets of items. Sure enough, when 5 pm came the majority of packers left even though they had not packed any of our bathrooms and had left 4 kitchen cupboards untouched. Fortunately 2 of the other packers were responsible and finished up. The next day, the actual moving day, was a repeat. Complaints about how much stuff we had, they hadn't planned enough trucks, the boxes were too heavy. By 4:00, when we saw them passing a joint around we just wanted them gone. We are not naive but we didn't appreciate their vulgar language. On move in day they were expected between 8-9 AM. We had confirmed that time several times in advance. They did not show up until 1:30 PM. Every time we called to check we were told they were still loading the trucks. We now think they couldn't round up enough workers. Two furniture items were broken so they could not be used, 2 lamps were packed so poorly that the switches no longer worked. Several dishes and glasses were broken. We have taken pictures of all of the damage and submitted them multiple times to Nathan, the manager. He has not responded. No adjustor has come to analyze the broken pieces of furniture so we can get them repaired. We paid extra for breakage insurance so that was a waste of money.

They did exactly as I asked and worked efficiently to wrap and package my furniture. They also took all my boxes and miscellaneous things that I had ready to go. I was moving from an apartment to a house so they were able to navigate tight corners and any stairs as needed and I was really happy with the service! I had two televisions that needed to be moved. One was a 65 inch that I had just purchased recently and the other was a 46 inch that I had purchased back in 2012. Luckily for me the newer television survived the move but the older television (still in very good working condition and cosmetically flawless) was damaged. The screen had a crack in it and there was bubbling in other places on the screen that were not there before. We didn't discover the damage until well after the movers had left because they put the TV facing backward on a bench so we couldn't see the damage (shady). I took pictures and called QCM the following Monday (we moved on Friday). I was told they do not cover damages other than 60 cents per pound so if my TV weighed 100lbs, they would only give me $60 to replace it. I went back with the owner Adam Crans via email and he said the movers claimed the TV was secured and wasn't damaged by them. I sent him the pictures and then he came back with the movers said the bubbling looked like heat damage. From what heat? And how does that explain the crack? The owner asked for the model number of the TV and then said he would get back to me. He later came back with a "comparable" junk TV from Walmart that was $198 and said he would pay half of that. I told him to keep his money because it was a slap in the face and doesn't begin to cover replacing the much better quality TV they had broken. If you hire this company to move your stuff, you are doing so at your own risk!!!! They WILL NOT cover a loss with any meaningful amount of money that would make you whole again. They also DO NOT TELL YOU they won't cover a loss. It's just in the fine print "terms and conditions" that they like to point out you agreed to and signed. They told me they had no move prior to me that day and showed up with a rented truck and very few pads to wrap my furniture, which were requested in advance multiple times prior to my move. The owner was the only effective mover. He brought two others workers and I literally ran circles around one of them, as he put his monster energy drink on my antique furniture multiple times. It was very frustrating to watch the crew move my items, bumping into walls, set drinks on my furniture and not wrap my furniture, as requested prior to moving items. When you set the appt they give you a designated day and time frame as to when they will be there, but then on the day of the pick up they texted me 2 hrs prior to being there with a more exact time of when they will show up. That extra benefit gives most people enough time to just leave work and meet them pretty easily without needing to take a half day off and just sit and wait for 4-5 hours without knowing when they will actually show up. Today Alex, Mike and Tony moved me from that apartment into my new house. I never hesitated to call Scully again for this move. I didn't call around for estimates. The estimate was spot on. I was going to move some of the smaller (but still heavy) items myself, but they suggested I quick pack up some of those items and they would take them to the house for me.
