This is by far my favorite place for brows, lashes, tanning, bikini waxing. I have never had any problems with any of my services. Even after moving to St. Louis I would still drive to Cape to get my brows and lashes done. The staff is so friendly and down to earth. This is a 3.5 star review. They wouldn't get this rating if they had real competition for threading. I have been here twice on various visits. When I get my eyebrows done at home for $10 or less, I can go 6-8 weeks between threading with a bit of home maintenance. Both threaders I have seen here cut the eyebrows way too much instead of threading, so it looks good for about a week but then, once the hair starts growing, the basic shape is gone. It would cost a lot to maintain your brows here. Also, both people here have been slow at ripping the hair, for lack of better explanation. For me, slow ripping makes me look like a hive of bees attacked my forehead, plus it hurts more. I wouldn't want to discourage anyone from trying to get their eyebrows threaded as it easily is the best method of making your eyebrows look polished,but I would ask them to actually thread more instead of cheating and using scissors. At the South Asian places I frequent, shaping with scissors is always the very last step. read more

I started to give Eye Candy a 1 star review because of a previous experience, but I've been requesting Sophia every time now and will never go back!! Sophia if you ever read this, YOU ROCK!!! She always makes my brows look fantastic, and people say they've never seen a better brow! Love it!! The other time I was talking about was when another girl did my brows. She waxed halfway up of my forehead (I have a normal not hairy forehead FYI) and grabbed my skin every time she plucked. It was AWFUL!! I will never let that gal near my brows EVER again. The moral of the story, go find Sophia and tip her well after she makes your beautiful brows look FIRE!!!!!!! read more

I've been here several times but the last time was definitely the best. I was never told the girl's name that did my eyebrows but she did an amazing job. I feel they could try to be a little more personable and introduce themselves or hold a conversation but doesn't really matter. They do great work. read more

I have not experienced their threading or other services but did walk in for lash extensions. If you are looking for someone to put on synthetic lashes similar to those from Sally's or a drug store, for an event than this place provides that service. However, if you are looking for quality lashes for everyday wear with high quality glue where they attach to individual lashes, their "lash extensions" are NOT that service. The ladies that work there are very nice and they were timely. After leaving and upon much closer examination, I felt my lashes had way too much glue and some where attached to my skin which was painful taking them off even with removal solution (took me two hours of constant work to get them off without ruining my own lashes). There aren't many options in this city for "lash" service but I do not plan to ever return. Just a side note, at the start of the lash process, the lady that did mine stuck the lashes to my forehead as her "work/prep station". Besides the fact this looked weird, I would assume this is very unsanitary - picking up oils and makeup prior to attaching the lash. read more

I went in to get glue-in eye lash extensions. The process was fine, although I could not communicate with the lady to tell her that my eyes were burning- as she did not speak English. The next week, I went back to get my lashes removed because they were irritating my eyes. This experience was very unpleasant and super painful. Once again, I was with the lady who did not speak English. As she was playing on her phone, my eyes were burning. I tried to tell her I was in pain- but she didn't understand. I'm giving this place 3 stars, and only 3 stars because the lashes turned out beautiful. It was just the whole process that I would not recommend. read more

I stopped by this afternoon and the only person working told me the manicurist was out to lunch and would be back in 20 min. I waited in my car for 20 min and when I came in, the same woman told me the manicurist had pulled into the lot, so I should go ahead and pick out my nail color. I did. Then I used the restroom. When I came out, the woman said she didn't know what the manicurist was doing, but she called her to let her know she had a client. I sat on a stool and waited and waited and waited. Another 15 minutes. By the time the manicurist finally strolled in, I'd been waiting a total of 44 minutes. She looked at me, looked at the polish bottle in my hand, and strolled right on by. I smiled at her -- she looked at me as if she couldn't care less. No smile, no greeting, no "I'll be with you in a minute". Nothing. She went in the bathroom and put out new toilet paper rolls and a new roll of paper towels. Then she strolled back into the main room and began showing the other woman a bag of cotton balls, completely ignoring me and completely unconcerned that she had a customer who was waiting. I left. The manicurist was unprofessional at best, and I will never go back. I hate that I even gave this place 1 star -- it doesn't deserve that! read more

Well... If it was possible to give negative stars I would. This business and their service were absolutely terrible! I've gotten lashes done on multiple occasions and have loved them. 100% not the case here. Upon walking into the business they asked what I was looking for. I said I wanted lashes. All the "technicians" were busy so they told me it would be a few minutes. They had NOWHERE for me to wait so I leaned against the wall to wait... this should've been flag 1. While I was waiting i looked at the pictures they had of the "before and after" that they had there. The lashes they were advertising looked great however they were not that I ended up wtih. When I was seen and got done... they used SO MUCH GLUE that the lashes the provided were a SOLID hunk of glue... which I later learned is the equivilant to acrylic plastic. I am not from the area and asked about removal since I couldn't go back (I live 8ish hours away and was there for an event). They said they use "special stuff" but that they were out however they advised I could use grapeseed oil to help get them off. No type of oil worked, not cleanser, grapeseed (which is NOT recommended for use on eyes), olive oil, NOTHING. I then went to a professional make-up artist who does my make-up/lashes whenever I have them done in the city I live in. In the 16 years they have been doing makeup they have NEVER seen such a bad job. The "extensions" that should've been attached to the lash were glued directly to my skin, then lacqured in glue. The removal took professional lash remover (essentially acetone) and 5.5 hours of meticulous work to get them of... not to mention painful and expensive. When I orginally left Eye Candy, they told me soak them in oil and they will "slide right off". NOT A CHANCE. I've never been so upset/angry with a business in my life. My real lashes, which were lovely on their own, are completely destroyed. They are broken, torn out and my lash line the skin is horribly irritated. The extensions were so hard that it woke me when sleeping and were constantly irritating. I will be sending samples of the removed lashes (which came out in HUGE chunks) to the Missouri Department/Board of Health as well as filing a complaint with the Missouri Attorney General. I NEVER want this to happen to another person EVER. I've never left a negative review in my life, but I could NOT let this happen to another person. read more
