After moving cross-country, I needed to find a new ophthalmologist and Dr. Feldman was recommended by a friend. This was my first visit to Dr. Feldman and he provided one of the most thorough and informative eye exams I have ever had. He was very caring and had a good sense of humor, and most importantly explained things very clearly, using layman's terms and not just medical terminology. I was also impressed that he used an ipad to show me diagrams of the eye and help illustrate things visually! To top it off, the staff at Mercer Eye was also very courteous and professional, my appointment started on time, and the facility was clean. An overall great experience. I will definitely be back.

I was given fluoroquinolones (Cipro and Levaquin) IV. By day 3 I could not see. Everything was blurry. It did not go away. I decided to see Dr. Boname because she was nearby where I was hospitalized. I liked her immediately because she did not try to defend the medical system the way many practitioners do even when they've clearly erred. She said those kinds of fluoroquinolone antibiotics damage the retina. You'll need glasses now. Any time I have met with her or been cared for by her, I have felt that I'm being cared for by family that has a special interest in me. She doesn't just care about the two eyes in our face because she knows many serious conditions show up in the eyes first....diabetes, cardiovascular disease etc. She knows there are no fences in the body and the body is a whole system that works synergistically together. She takes into consideration genetics and their support, what I consider the "laser approach" to personalized medicine. I know I will get the best care from here which is why I have driven from Rhode Island to her office outside of Princeton, NJ for many years.

Ben - who runs the eyeglass/contact side of the business - is one of the nicest, knowledgeable professionals I have met. He provides quality frames and lenses. He provides clear information about lenses and has a good eye in picking frames to suit your face. Everything went smoothly and in a timely manner, from check-in to payment. Dr. Patel was my optometrist and she was nice. She was very thorough and answered all my questions. Only negative, which would not affect their rating, is that I wish there were a few more glasses brands to choose from, but that's just me being vain. They have one wall of glasses split between women's and men's styles and another small wall for children's size. I had no trouble finding a pair. They do have a good selection of frame shapes and material, so customers will have no problem finding something. The prices are on par with other eyeglass shops. They will work with you to maximize your annual insurance benefits- frames, lenses type, contacts, etc. Another negative, which is no fault of East Windsor eyecare is that insurances will take your glasses order and make the glasses at their own lab. I noticed that my pair of glasses had scratches on one of the lenses when I picked it up. The hours are good and staff are friendly. This store definitely delivers quality eyecare.

Mr. Pone was more than accommodating, and we spent a long time searching together for frames that would be under my strict price point. He was very thorough in explaining my options, and he also offered a turn-around time that allowed me to pick up my sunglasses the day before my vacation. (I came in on a Thursday afternoon, and the glasses were ready for me to wear on Tuesday morning!) The process was impressively quick and easy to arrange. I left the store with a promise to call back that night with a decision (yes or no), and Mr. Pone called me back the next day confirming that he had placed the order and then requested my credit card information. So convenient! I was very pleased with my sunglasses when they arrived: a Juicy Couture brownish tortoise shell frame, and light brown lenses that fade to a pleasant reddish color. In the right light, it indeed looks like I have "rose-colored glasses"! And I've received tons of compliments! Well worth it! (I'm attaching a photo to this review.) Finally, a nice touch: a week after purchasing my sunglasses, I received a handwritten thank you note in the mail from the optician's office. They did not offer any treatment or follow up help to alleviate these symptoms. She is unable to go to work now and sits in a dark room with sunglasses on at all times as she has severe photophobia as well and is unable to do many of her daily tasks due them straining her eyes and triggering migraines and severe eye pain. I'm incredibly disappointed with how this situation was handled.
