I have been going to the Princeton Eye Group for many years. I have always had a great experience with the people that I have worked with me getting eyecare. Today I am writing on behalf of Rebecca who works with prescriptions. I have had a problem with my insurance company in getting an eye drop that works great for me. Rebecca has been so helpful in trying to get this special one. I have to give 3 other ones a try before they will consider this one. Hands down the worst practice in the area! Every time I come here I have to wait at least an hour or so to be called in and then wait for the doctor. The waiting room is overcrowded and the staff tries to help but doesn't do much. I need to find a new practice stat! read more

Called to try to make an appointment, called 4times left three messages. Each time I called they just sent me to this woman's voicemail, even called my insurance and they tried calling and hit their voicemail. Called and spoke to a manager and got handed off n rotated back to the person I was trying to reach. She finally called back and was rude and said I only left one message. When I mentioned checking her messages that I had left two and my mom one she said I only left one and rudely hung up on me. Not to mention each time I tried calling n they put me to the voicemail they never told me what information to give them. I visited this center for my contact lens. Asked for appointment last year December. now is march and I still do not have my lenses. they charge you for no show even if yo cancel your appointments. They call you the day before appointment and remind you that come to office and get your lenses but when you show up they tell you after half an hr waiting that the lenses never delivered. Thier office in disarray. If you go there expect fees after fees for their fault of scheduling and cancelation. Plus is is a hard and long wait to see anyone. read more

we are having a terrible experience right now as I write this. my husband is just now getting his pre appointment testing for an 11:15 appointment. it is noon. the receptionist repeatedly gave me unsatisfactory information and this is unacceptable. I called the Somerset office with an emergency last week on Wednesday, and left two messages on the emergency line. I still have not received a call back from that office. I called the Princeton office later that day, reached a live person and scheduled a visit with the doctor the following day. This is not the first issue I have had with the Somerset office over the years of being a patient of the group. Practice Manager needs to take a long hard look at the staff at that location. Not calling back a patient who leave an emergency message ( I was diagnosed with vitrial detachment), is just poor customer service and could lead to detrimental health issues for patients. read more

I'd give it zero stars if I could. A 90 minute wait to just get into the exam room. A rude office manager and staff who don't care even the least about customer relations paid no mind to the people in the waiting room who were becoming increasingly frustrated as the minutes ticked by. Raced from work to get to my appointment to sit with no warning that they were so far behind. I understand delays but communication is essential to not upset waiting patients. Had Cataract Surgery Done during the Pandemic. Despite some delays as was was tested positive. Dr. John Epstein and his Staff, Princeton office, were Outstanding in getting it done. Appointments both Pre and Post were easy and I was always reminded of my Appointments. They were able to get me Discounted Coupons for my EYE Drops, not covered under my plan. I was very happy with my experience at the Princeton Eye Group. I had cataract surgery in both eyes. Dr. Epstein was very thorough in explaining all my options. The surgery coordinators were very efficient in booking all the appointments. They have a well oiled machine in the process of pre-op, operation, and post-op. Sometimes they run a little behind on appointment times but once Dr. Epstein meets with you he spends a lot of time and you don't feel rushed through. The surgical center was also excellent and very efficient. Dr. Epstein called me on the night of each surgery to see how I was doing and the surgical center called me the day after each surgery to see how I was doing. I now have 20/20 vision in both eyes. I was referred by a friend who recommended Dr. Epstein. What a recommendation! I have never had so much time and attention spent on my eyes. Dr. Epstein took the time to talk to me and find out exactly what needed to be done. Never felt rushed or hurried. Dr. Epstein even performed and rechecked all of the tests performed on my eyes. I went to Dr. Epstein for cataract surgery. I have keratoconus in my left eye and poor vision in my right eye. Before surgery, I could barely read the big "E" on the chart with my left eye and had 20/450 vision in my right eye. After surgery, I have 20/20 vision in my right eye, and 20/40 vision in my left eye. I do not need eyeglasses anymore - only reading glasses. I can't tell you how pleased I am with the results. I have always wanted to get Lasik but was afraid of the process, cost and honestly having yo still wear glasses later on. In October 2016, I decided to call for a consult and was scheduled with Dr. Epstein. I know 4 other people who had their procedures done with other doctors at the practice. Dr.Epstein was great at explaining the pre and post procedure process as well as the surgery itself. He spent time examining my eyes and whether i am a good candidate, he answered my questions and discussed my concerns. The staff was friendly at the consult too. On the day of the surgery, everyone was friendly and took time to explain everything to me. From check In to payment to prep to post op...everything was thoroughly explained. I appreciate all the follow up visits and the follow up call that same day. It has been 6 months and I still have another follow up visit scheduled just to make sure all is still ok. He even recommend the types of drops to use for my needs and gave samples. Dr. Epstein has been patience and caring in this whole process. My overall experience has been a great one. The only thing I would change is I wish someone would have called the week before to remind me to stop wearing my contact lense. I stopped on my own but imagine that some people might forget. I would like to commend Dr. Epstein for the excellent cataract surgery he performed on me in August 2018. I had previously had a retinal issue, which made this surgery a bit more challenging than the normal, so I wanted someone with the experience to handle this. He is a busy man, but took the time to go over the lens options and measurements in detail, as well as answering my numerous questions (I'm an engineer). I have been wanting to get LASIK for years and was waiting for a good time. I was referred to Dr. Jadico and she was engaging and professional and her office staff was responsive and scheduling was a breeze. I did the surgery yesterday and it was very quick. I actually even fell asleep during the procedure, which I am told is very rare, but because the laser could sense that I was losing focus on the target, it just stopped and restarted when I focused again, and the procedure took only a minute longer than originally planned . I had postoperative discomfort for about 5 hours which is what they told me to expect, and a lot of light sensitivity (also to be expected) and then I got up this morning and can SEE!!! I went from being completely dependent on contacts and glasses to having perfect vision!! I still can't believe that it was so quick and wish I had done this years ago. Dr.Kuchar has been treating me for about 1 1/2 yrs for a very difficult form of glaucoma. She has faced a new challenge every time she has seen me and has risen to the occassion each and every time. She has never left left a problem unattended starting from the time that she performed a double procedure which involved a trabeculectomy/cateract removal to addressing smaller issues such as problems with prescriptions. My husband saw Dr. Brand (instead of our long-time trusted eye dr, for insurance reasons). This office is all about making $$, booking appts every week "just to check things" and prescribing VERY expensive eye drops. After 8 visits, and very high out-of-pocket expense, we decided to go back to our doctor, regardless of insurance - because something about this doctor didn't feel right.
