I talked to like 6 different firms, and what immediately drew me to Prestige was Nestor's professionalism and demeanor. He was easy to talk to, kind and very sharp. He wasn't pushy, and clearly explained the way in which he would approach my case. Up to that point, every firm I talked to was requiring me to sign lengthy service contracts filled with a lot of red flags and broad indemnity clauses. Nestor on the other hand was honest and up front, telling me he could take on my case for an extremely reasonable flat fee, and no ridiculous 10 page contract requiring a kidney as collateral. So let's be clear--they ignored instructions, performed unauthorized work, charged an absurd amount, and then hid behind a no-refund policy. That's not just bad business--that's predatory. This wasn't happening in a vacuum. I'm already dealing with the loss of my mother and serious financial strain tied to an ongoing lawsuit. I hired them in good faith to help serve someone actively evading, not to create another financial and emotional burden. Instead, they made an already difficult situation significantly worse. After the fact, I did what I should have done earlier--dug deeper into reviews--and found warnings from others and even calling out Gotcha by name as SHADY. That alone says a lot. I have since disputed the charge with my credit card company. Do yourself a favor: STAY FAR AWAY from this company. We worked with Steve Heffelfinger PI#21550…read more We contacted this agency with hopes of finding out details of the criminal record of an acquaintance/contact. Without giving details of our request for assistance here in this review we can say that what we did receive from Mr. Heffelfinger at WCI fell far short of what he promised. We did not find out anything we couldn't have found from our own online research. What little info that was revealed was disorganized, vague, and disjunctive. There were promises of details as they were discovered which included sending someone into the court house to retrieve records. To our knowledge this never occurred as we had to follow up with WCI repeatedly and never did receive a return call with promised details. We had anticipated receiving a written report/summary too but we never received documentation of any conversations or info purportedly discovered. The value received for the $500 that we paid was absolutely worthless to us. After waiting 8 weeks with no further communications from WCI I emailed Mr. Heffelfinger with my complaint and his reply was that "Obviously the ball has been dropped somewhere" and he requested that I call him to discuss. I replied that I was done with WCI and that if he wanted to make good on any of this he could call me. To date we have not received a return call.
