Today I had to take a test that could have a major impact on the rest of my career. I don't know…read morewhat you do, but my career requires that I pass different certification tests to be eligible for a promotion. The test I had to take today was a 5 hour computer based test and it cost me $120 to take the test. I arrived on a Saturday at 1pm. I only knew to park in the back and go through the back door because of the other cars in the lot. If I had been first on site, I would have had a heck of time figuring out where to go. The building isn't new, but the office for the TX Testing Center is old old. Located on the 4th floor of the Bank of Fort Bend building, hidden in the corner, is an old office space. The chairs in the waiting area are like sitting hammocks. They look like they've been picked up at a flea market. This place is a one woman show. About 15 people showed up at 1pm for the afternoon testing session and one woman had to check everyone in, take their photo (required for the state certification), and set them up on their computer. Each person was taking a different test, so that takes some time and personalization on the computer. Not only that, the test I was taking required some supplemental paper information that she had to go find. She knew where it was, but she was a little overwhelmed with all she had to do. There really needs to be two people here during the check in process. Once I was put at a computer, I had a seat and got comfortable for my up to 5 hour test. The chair was not especially comfy. The computers themselves are pretty new and work just fine, no problems there. Recently, there have been major earthquakes and the vibrating floor and tables at one point made me very nervous. I seriously had to stop testing and wait for the tables and floor to stop moving. I don't know if there was a herd of elephants in the building or what, but you can read a computer screen when it is bouncing around. When testing, I like complete silence and unfortunately, with 8 people in my single testing room, I had to listen to one lady hum periodically and another guy who need a box of tissues but didn't bother to bring any with him. It was quite annoying listening to all these people make noise. It took me about 3 hours to finish my test. About 2 hours into the test, the one-woman-show walked around and gave everyone a wrapped candy. Really? Yeah it's not disturbing at all to listen to everyone unwrap and then suck on their candy. When I finally went to leave, I had to turn in my supplemental materials and check out. The one-woman-show was no where to be found. I waited and waited, and then I went in the hallway to look for her. I eventually heard her, on her cell phone, down the hall. I had to call out to her (yes, interrupting other testers) to get her attention. Overall, I would not take another certification test here even though it is convenient to my home. I want somewhere quiet and comfortable. If you are looking at this review, then you are probably taking the same type of test I was. Go to another location, there are many different businesses that do this type of testing in the Houston/Sugar Land area.

They put me in the smallest testing room which is about the size of a walk in closet! It was making me claustrophobic as well. With the room so small you could hear EVERYTHING and EVERYONE. I had a girl next to me shaking her leg so violently it shook her whole body and made the chair make a bunch of noise. It was extremely distracting. No noise cancelation headphones or blasting AC to help drown her out. A few of us got LOCKED OUT of the building right before the test started. They told us no purses and go back to our cars, so we did. Well apparently it happens a lot that the other building employees don't like the door being propped open and close it on purpose. Well that locks US out. Thankfully a girl found the testing center number online. But that is too stressful right before an exam. =/ The staff were very polite, but my experience here was bad and I won't go back even though this is the closest testing center to my house.

We were honest and explained we needed to evaluate and see if he can help her to get better. He flat out said he cannot accept her short term. She must sign up for two months and cant accept her. I emphasized she doesnt know yet, its not that we know, she came here as her last hope to see if she can manage AP and he didnt care. He said he cant do 4 sessions only!!! this was the first time in my life seeing a teacher cares for momey over improvement of a struggling child! unbelievable!!!

My kids LOVED each day of the Wonders of the World week. They stayed engaged the entire time, conversed in Spanish, learned new vocabulary and couldn't stop talking about what they were learning for the rest of the day. The instructor was wonderful and very patient with my enthusiastic kiddos. They enjoyed it so much that I've enrolled them for another week this summer. We can't recommend Language Kids World enough!

Really friendly, professional, efficient, and clean, plus he was happy to explain everything thoroughly. One of the few certified chimney sweeps in Houston, so we had him check our chimney in addition to fixing our dryer. He used a camera to easily show us the guts of our chimney. I was extremely disappointed with my son's lego city party. I was told that they were going to do…read moreactivities and then have free build at the end. I was hoping that they were going to do activities with the kids like, see who can build the tallest skyscraper in three minutes, let's build a car and race, etc... but they didn't. First, they were supposed to arrive at the party 10- 15 minutes early to set up. Instead, I had guests arrive at the party and they still had not shown up. They came 5 minutes after their contracted time and didn't apologize for their tardiness. They brought some lego bricks in different colors and base plates. They told the kids to just build something they would find in a city. That was all, free build for an hour and a half. There were no instructions besides "build something". They could have brainstormed with the kids or had cards with different building ideas to choose from from like, you are building a gas station, you get to build a fire station, etc. My son free builds every day. Did I really pay $200 for him and his friends to free play? After about 45 minutes, some of my kids had finished building and just looked bored. I was told that at the end we would snap all of the plates together to admire our city but that didn't happen either. I wanted so badly to step in and rescue my party but, I paid for this, I paid so I wouldn't have to plan the activities... Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this company to anyone who wants a fun lego party experience. *** update*** This review was changed from 1 star to 3 stars based on my further interactions with the owner. His expectations of a birthday party don't match the birthday party that I was given. He was very polite and plans to better train his employees so hopefully no one else has this experience in the future.
