My husband and I stopped in here for the first time on a Saturday (no appointment needed to look at frames) in December. We didn't know much about the place, expect for some reviews we had read online. He really wanted some new frames that 'didn't look like all the others.' Enter Discerning Eye. We arrived to a bustling shop and were greeted right away. This place is a feast for the eyes. So many beautiful frames to try on. Eclectic, funky, artsy, and unique describe what they have to offer. After a few minutes of browsing, Emily came over to assist us. She is awesome. She stayed with us during our entire visit. My husband tried on several different frames, asked lots of questions, and we were in and out in less than two hours. We never felt rushed while we were there, despite how busy they were. Frames are organized by designer. Bargain frames are in the basement. We intend to go back and check those out at some point. They had a trunk show going on the day we visited, so it was quite the overall experience. Snacks, CHAMPAGNE, and a prize basket (we received $30 off a pair of frames). Jackie helped me more in 6 weeks than anyone else had in 6 months. My condition isn't 100% resolved, but it has improved and is more manageable now. All staff I had interacted with at Roggy were very nice; from phone calls to in-person. They have a beautiful location and I wouldn't hesitate to call them for regular eye exams, etc. If you're looking for a new, trendy pair of frames, new provider or have specific eye conditions this is the place for you!

Every year we redo insurance I was not 100% sure but 90% sure I had blue cross blue shield . Still would not schedule an appt . Someone in the office said thier husband worked there n knew it was not blue cross blue shield. And after all this back and forth I was like clearly she does not want to make an appointment and for whatever reason want my buisness. She had not even took my name at all. Feeling put off I said ok thank you. Turned around and called another optical office . They took my name n my child and we have an upcoming appointment , I do have blue cross blue shield in the end able to get the appointment needed with 0 difficulty at the other office call took less than 3 mins. The attention to detail with his situation was well above any expectation I could have asked for. He is only 62, but with his fully fused back, everything is challenging. The appointment was timely, he was helped in and out of the facility care rooms as they checked his sight. The doctor ordered the glasses he needs for reading up close, with plain glass above for regular sight. The staff kept him entertained as he waited for his facility bus to pick him up and return him to Windmill Manor. Thank you for the respect, the empathy and the professionalism you all showed.
