The doctors are very knowledgeable and care about their patients. The office personnel are experienced and friendly. I have had last minute situations with appointments and prescriptions that have been addressed with care and concern. I appreciate the explanations, as well as follow-up discussions, if needed. They take time to be thoughtful about their answers, when I have them. The office is equipped to handle your eye care needs. I have even ordered the glasses that I wear at this office. They have their own parking lot in front of the office building. I have never had a problem finding a parking spot. I highly recommend the Eye Treatment Center. They are worth a drive! read more

Called for an appoint! Spoken to a Juanita and she didn't confirm my insurance coverage. Walked in and they took me into the room but my case is a corneal abrasion and this is only for prescription glasses! They have to coach their employees to know that this place doesn't specialize on corneal abrasions. They charged for nothing and my insurance was not even on their coverage! read more

Came in Yesterday for my husband's appointment/ our first time here. The place was very easy to find. Very nice, we did wait about 25 minutes to be seen. But over all had a great experience. When you pay for a contact appt. you are given follow ups. This experience did not take place in a single visit. I went multiple times.

I have tried to get in touch with them for 3 days. Text and email nothing. I got in touch today and the receptionist Juanita was so rude. I was referred to them by Eyemed and my insurance, they were on my provider list. She asked me questions and i replied to her yes yes yes. However, she said if it was for a check up appt would be 4 to 5 weeks. I told her i was having problem with one eye and a cataract. She then told me i needed an authorization. What can I say... I came in to have a stye checked out in my right eye and a month or so later, I have 20/20 vision!! Allow me to explain. I have worn progressive lenses in my glasses for over 20 years. Every pair of glasses or sunglasses I own have cost at least 1,200 or more with the special lenses. (I do love Gucci and Dior). I have tried contacts so I could wear sunglasses without having to pay to install a lens in them. The contacts didn't work out for me. When Dr. Bei examined my stye, she noticed that I had cataracts in both eyes and then she said something that would change my life... forever. She said, we can remove the cataracts and replace the lenses permanently with premium progressive lenses. You may be able to see 20/20 without glasses. Wait... WHAT!! I didn't hear that right? WHAT!?!? Before surgery, I could NOT see ANYTHING without my glasses. Dr. Bei gently and completely removed the cataracts and installed a new set of eyes in my head and I am eternally grateful! I came here for a 2nd opinion for complicated cataract surgery in June 2023. My bill for diagnostic consultation with Dr Sasaki was handled shortly thereafter. I ended up going elsewhere for treatment because the affiliated surgical suite provider was out of our insurance network. Now it is February 2025--more than 19 months later--and the mail delivers a new bill out of the blue. The letter says I must pay or they will send it to collections. Sarah M. in the billing office absolutely refused to waive it and reiterated the collections threat. The amount is tiny (less than $5!) but what if another bill comes? I'm looking into other consumer resources to dispute this stale & suspicious charge. read more

My dad was referred here for his cataracts. The place is very spacious and clean. Everyone we interacted with were friendly and informative. I have to give major credit to the Cambodian assistant, I did not catch her name but she took the time to explain everything thoroughly to my dad and she was so patient. She even came in to help translate surgery information for me. My dad was able to understand the process of everything which made me feel a whole lot better. My review is specifically for Dr. Audrey Mok. It was surprisingly challenging to find a neuro-ophthalmologist or an ophthalmologist with this specialty in the greater LA area. I feel very fortunate to have come across Dr. Mok and the Eye Treatment Center. She was phenomenal. She is empathic, really listened and heard my concerns, is extremely intelligent, and is a skilled diagnostician. I felt very cared for and feel hopeful about treatment moving forward. I will say that during the pandemic, communication with the clinic has been a bit challenging, but it's a pandemic... nobody has really been prepared for that so I can't ding them for it. If you need something specific, you will probably have to follow-up closely so it doesn't fall through the cracks. read more

I thank God that I came into the Eye Treatment Center because it turned out I had shingles on my eye. I have been a patient of Eye Treatment Center since 2011 or so! Dr. Mok, Dr Sasaki, Dr. Steinmann, are all incredibly friendly, patient and professional. The staff is considerate, kind, warm and helpful too. I used to go to the location at the St Mary Medical Center for years and when they moved to the location in Bixby Knolls, I started to go there every year for my annual check ups. The new location is much better as the parking is an open/free lot and close to places to eat and get coffee! A huge plus! Both of my eyewear frames are from here, and I get compliments on them all the time! I order contacts too and they can even ship to my house since I live further away and that's such a luxury. I love that they have this option for their patients/customers. In my opinion, they have the greatest customer service and do their best to help everyone as much as possible. read more

Dr Sasaki has taken excellent care of my glaucoma issues!! My IOP has been decreased to acceptable levels in minimizing my glaucoma.

Dr. Bei is the best. I just recently started going this place and already they treat me with great care. Before my upcoming appointment, I began to have some pain in my eyes. Something that was completely different from what my initial diagnosis. I texted them about the situation as it was after business ours. And right away the next business in the morning, they text me back with an appointment that day. I was so thankful. As soon as I came in, they called me to be seen without any wait. Dr. Bei was so empathetic and took care of my situation with great care. With her fast diagnosis, ophthalmic meds, and follow up care, my eye healed up fast. I recommend this center to all that are dealing with eye problems. read more

As a longtime patient, I don't recommend this office. I came into the office for my vision check up and received an updated prescription ("2023 prescription"). I decided to update my sunglasses with the 2023 prescription. This time, I decided to try polarized lenses. The polarization cost extra. We sent the order that day. When I came in to pick up the sunglasses, I felt dizzy and disoriented as soon as I put the sunglasses on. The optical person said I should just see Dr. Chan again. Dr. Chan said she thought the problem may be the prescription. She and the optical person asked that I try out the sunglasses for a week. Mind you, they have a 90 day guarantee, so now we are 3 weeks into those 90 days. In any event, Dr. Chan said that if I tried the 2023 prescription and it did not work out, maybe we need to look into going back to the old 2022 prescription. She wrote that down in her notes. I tried the sunglasses for a week. Still did not work out. The only big change was the polarized lenses. I asked an optician friend about this, he confirmed polarized lenses sometimes makes some people feel dizzy. I then spoke to someone from Eye Treatment Center who acted like I was crazy and said definitively that the polarization would not cause that. I asked her what it could be if not the polarization. She did not know. I asked if we could take off the polarization but leave everything else the same, and asked if they could adjust the price since I paid for polarized but wouldn't get polarized. She looked at me like I was crazy and said there would be no price adjustment even though I wouldn't be getting polarized lenses. I left the office, called back, and spoke to optical manager Carol and I told her I wanted to remove the polarization. Carol said OK and said there normally wouldn't be a price adjustment but ultimately she would make a price adjustment. (I have since spoken to my insurance company who has confirmed there should be a price adjustment) I then came in and handed the sunglasses to Carol and asked her if all they were going to do was remove the polarization, and everything else would be the same. She confirmed. I left. I was looking forward to getting the exact same sunglasses but without the polarization. A couple of weeks later I came in for the redone sunglasses. I tried them on and I no longer felt dizzy, but they were blurry. Valerie said she was not sure why. She asked that I keep trying them out. Again, eating into the 90 days. After taking the sunglasses, since Carol wasn't there, I called her and told her I took the sunglasses, I was hoping they'd work out, and asked when I'd get the price adjustment to remove the polarization fee. She said she would refund the fee and she did. I continued to try the sunglasses, they were still blurry, and Carol couldn't figure out why. Then their office closed for the holidays. After the holidays, Carol asked that I keep trying the sunglasses because she did not know what else to tell me, we already redid the sunglasses once, we're only allowed "one redo," and another one would cost me $105. Relying on Carol, I kept trying out the sunglasses. Finally, I came into the office before the 90 days was up. Carol finally told me that when she sent in the sunglasses to remove the polarization, she filled the sunglasses with the 2022 prescription, not the 2023 prescription. But I was never told this before the sunglasses were sent out. At that point, Carol asked me to close one eye with the sunglasses on to see if that eye was clear, then alternate eyes. I did that and told her that my left eye was blurry when looking out through the sunglasses. I asked if that was how it was supposed to be. She said no, they were both supposed to be clear if the prescription was accurate. Carol confirmed that when the sunglasses were first made with the polarization, they were made with the 2023 prescription. But when the polarization was removed, they were made with the 2022 prescription. Carol said this was done because of Dr. Chan's notes. Apparently, after I dropped off the sunglasses to Carol to remove the polarization, someone looked at the chart and misunderstood what was written and changed the order to remove the polarization AND to change the prescription to the 2022 prescription, which was not what I ordered. There was a mistake made by their office and we were now outside of the 90 days and the one redo was used up because their office used the wrong prescription. Carol confirmed that I never had a chance to try the non-polarized sunglasses with the 2023 prescription as I asked, but she refused to make it right. She claims Dr. Chan and Dr. Sasaki also refused. It has now been months and their office refuses to take any responsibility for their mistake. I have gotten the insurance company VSP involved, and VSP has told me that I am 100% right and they are 100% wrong. As a longtime patient of several years, it should not have gotten to this point. read more

This place is a joke! If you can ever reach someone via phone consider it a miracle. Because leaving voice messages will go no where. No one will ever call you back. Trust me, I left three, on three different days. Oh and don't try contacting them via email, they dont respond to that either. I know, weird right? It's true. And if you somehow miraculously get someone on the phone and they ask for your insurance info and tell you that they take it, don't believe them. They say yes and then say no when you are there in person. Oh yea and then if you ask them how much it will be out of pocket after you wait over a week for your appt and then wait 30min past your appt time to even be called up by the receptionist, don't worry, they also can't give you an answer. Somewhere between $125 and $175 is their guess, so the $50 dollar difference can be a surprise at the end of the visit. I'm literally laughing this place is such a joke! read more

They have gone out of their way to be personable, efficient, professional and caring. They even stayed late to help me with my personal issue. Service is great once you're actually there. Doctors & staff are great in person. But it took a month to get my glasses in. Then when I went to pick them up on a Saturday, which they said would be ok but didn't mention anything about the best time to do so. Hours listed on Yelp for them for Saturday are 9am-noon...I showed up at 11:30am and they were closed. On the door it's says they're open Saturday's "by appointment only". I also called their after hours phone service to make sure they weren't just out to lunch or something, and after being on hold for 15 minutes, I was told "they're only there for a couple hours early morning on Saturday" Why is it so confusing?? read more

Edit: In light of the pedantic and condescending novel I've received in reply to my review, I feel the need to update my original review. Their reply really says it all. If you have the gall to have your own opinion about your care, this is the kind of response you get. I also feel I didn't sufficiently explain the complete circus that is trying to contact this office. They allegedly open at 9, yet if you call at 9, the phones are off. Call again in 20 minutes and if you're lucky, the phones are on. Their message says they take lunch from 12-2pm (which is wrong, I had an appointment at 1:30 and they were certainly not at lunch), but if you call at 2:15, phones are still off. They say they'll talk to the doctor and call you back, but they don't. There is another negative review on Yelp regarding the poor communication of this office in which they replied that they're "working to improve [their] patient access experience" which is the funniest way to say they never answer phones or emails. They also gave me the wrong prescription for my glasses and did not attempt to remedy it - "I'll talk to the doctor and call you back" (three weeks ago). Apparently their doctor had time to write me this novel but not time to call me back. If you want to be a nice line in their annual profit report, go to this office. Otherwise, look elsewhere for a functional office that's more concerned with patient care than being right on Google/Yelp reviews. read more

Great service here. Super nice facility, and the staff are really friendly and know what they're doing. I did have one problem where they booked me to get my eyes dilated first thing in the morning. I didn't receive a confirmation call the day before but assumed that I was good to go. I tried calling to confirm but got their answering service who couldn't confirm their schedule (they don't have access to it). I showed up at my scheduled time and they didn't have me pencilled in. Not sure what happened there but it wasn't a big deal because they fit me in anyway. read more

Dr. Audrey Mok is the best surgeon. I needed an ocular plastic surgeon and after lots of hard research, I finally found Dr. Mok. She is caring, understanding, and will hold your hand every step of the way. I had a tumor removed from the inside of my eye and she couldn't have done a better job. When I was overwhelmed and scared, she explained everything in detail and was always very attentive. Her office staff is efficient and they scheduled me for surgery quickly and efficiently. I have been going here for a couple years and the doctors and office staff are always considerate, efficient, and knowledgeable. This office really pulled through recently when I needed my yearly supply of contact lenses in June. They put me on a trial for daily lenses but I opted to stick with my monthlies (Biofinity). The order took 2 weeks to come in (the monthly trial never arrived from the company due to Covid shipping) and when I put the new contacts in, I couldn't see my hand in front of me. Long story short, Coopervision/Biofinity had shipped the wrong lenses--they were meant for reading (where one eye's correction is purposefully made a lot lower than normal) and I am a 24-year-old not even close to needing that kind of lens yet. Yikes. The Eye Treatment Center let me schedule a follow-up appointment (no extra charge), and they fixed the situation seamlessly--dealing with Biofinity for me (when Biofinity put the burden on them to cover the opened box of monthlies even though their trial lenses had never made it and they'd sent a completely wrong order!) The Eye Treatment Center also made sure I had sufficient trial lenses in the meantime. It is now August and my new lenses (correct prescription and lens style) have finally arrived and I couldn't be more grateful. My cataracts were so bad that there was not much that I could see. I was going blind. Dr. Mok has been a godsend. Prior to surgery I needed prescription eye drops. I could not see very well to get to the pharmacy. She had my eye drops delivered to my home. Maybe that does not sound like much to you, but when your vision is so bad that it is terrifying to leave home, it meant a lot. She treated me with professionalism and much appreciated kindness, as did the entire staff. After surgery I can see everything in this beautiful world.
