This practice is fantastic. The staff are all pleasant and professional. Dr. C is a very nice man. He really listens, is direct, describes his diagnoses impeccably, as well as his plan for treatment and what to expect. He is no nonsense, while being kind and considerate. This was the first time my wife has ever had a doctor phone her the day after a procedure to check on her. Mookie is also a gem. Every person in this building is wonderful. Each of them seemed pleased that we chose their facility and made us feel comfortable and welcome. Bob and Betsy Papak

I rarely leave reviews, but this experience warrants it…read more I am a Registered Nurse with over 10 years of experience, and I chose North Columbus Eye Center for LASIK after a reassuring consultation with Dr. Ceravolo. I have significant procedural anxiety and made that very clear ahead of time. Unfortunately, the experience during the procedure itself was completely different. While my eye was held open under the laser, Dr. Ceravolo made multiple comments that indicated confusion, including statements like, "Did I press the wrong button?" and "What did I just do?" As a patient, hearing that in the middle of a procedure involving my eye was extremely distressing. When I asked if everything was okay, I was met with an aggressive "it will be if you would just hold your eye open and look at the laser". From that point forward, his demeanor became increasingly frustrated and aggressive, with repeated sharp instructions directed at me despite my clear anxiety and efforts to comply. Following the procedure, he performed a very brief exam, and left without any reassurance or communication. I left feeling distressed and at fault. At my follow-up appointment the tech immediately acknowledged awareness of my case and apologized for Dr. Ceravolo's behavior, indicating that it had been discussed among staff and that this conduct was not out of character. Additionally, while waiting in the exam room, I overheard Dr. Ceravolo having a personal conversation about coworkers DIRECTLY outside my door. The remarks included staff speaking negatively about coworkers, references to a hostile work dynamic, Dr Ceravolo saying the other doctor in his office "doesn't want to go to jail and can't afford divorce" and a statement about someone "going full Russian" on another individual. Additionally, there was a lapse in my post-operative care instructions. This experience was not only distressing but fell significantly below the standard of care and professionalism expected in a surgical setting. I have never encountered this level of unprofessional conduct from a provider. I emailed them and received a message stating that "Dr Ceravolo is very professional and if you'd like to speak with him he's more than willing". If this review helps even ONE person go to West Georgia Eye instead of North Columbus Eye I've done my job.

When I showed up for my appointment I was pleasantly greeted and welcomed into the business, which was clean and orderly. I had a great pre-exam by Mr. Jalen ( knew him from church), he was very professional, and knowledgeable with his information and answers to my questions. The Double Vision Eye-care doctor's Ms. Lakesha and Ms.Latesha were patient and helpful throughout. The atmosphere of the business is like a family gathering, I look forward to continuing my eye-care with the team at Double Vision Eye-care. Thank you for a great experience.

I was scheduled for a follow up appointment to check on the pressure of my eyes. I got the text to remind me and ask me if I was coming to the appointment. I confirmed and thought everything was good to go. Two days before my appointment I get a text saying that they need to talk to me about my insurance. I tried calling Thursday, but they did not answer the phone. I called again Friday morning. My appointment was in the afternoon on Friday. The receptionist informs me that I need a referral from Tricare. Are you kidding me? If they would have told me that six months ago when the appointment was made, I would have been asking my PCM to get it done. There is no way that I can get a referral in three days time let alone in a day. The receptionist informs me that the procedure will cost between $50-$100 out of pocket. Really?!!! What am I suppose to do? She says that there will be a $40 no show fee. I ask to speak to the office manager, but she is not there. I don't go to the appointment. The receptionist said that the office manager would call me on Monday. I never got a call. I received the $40 bill in the mail. I called Double Vision yesterday which has been a month since the missed appointment and left a message asking for the office manager to call me about this matter. I called again today and when I was asked what was the nature of my call I asked to speak to the office manager yet again about this bill. I was informed that she was out to lunch. They have no problems taking my money, but to talk to me and give me customer care all they want to do is put me off. I have no confidence that they will help to resolve such a simple issue. I would not recommend this business to anyone.

At that point it took 10 minutes before I was checked in. I went back for the eye exam promptly after that. The employees were all friendly and professional. The exam was completed in about 15 minutes. That employee told me to look at glass frames. I was told again by Lolita Deck to sit down and wait. I told her again I prefer to stand. I am an older male almost 67 years old. Sitting down puts a strain on my hip. She sat at the front area complaining about how employees acted while she was on vacation. After 1 hour of standing and waiting patiently the second customer came out from their eye exam. I ask the second employee that had been sitting with Lolita Deck for about 30 minutes, how much longer do I have to wait to make my choice of glass frames. That employee acted surprised that No one had helped me. She started to help me. While trying to help me she checked in 5 more customers. Gave 3 more customers their new glasses when they came in the store. Now 1 more hour later I am still in Visionworks trying to get my glass frames and final bill. During the last hour Lolita disappears from the front helping with customers. Lolita Deck business card says general manager. If this is the best Visionworks can hire for general manager it's a sad reflection on Visionworks. I will pickup this pair of glasses when ready. I will schedule my appointment next year. If Lolita Deck is still the general manager, then you have lost a customer for life. Lolita Deck store # 489 D is a sad excuse for an employee.

The…read morefirst time, no one told me the appointment was virtual -- something I can't do due to a hearing issue. The second time, I was late (my fault), but in both cases, trying to reschedule was met with indifference. The front desk staff seemed uninterested and unhelpful, as if they didn't care whether I was a patient or not. On top of that, a couple of years ago I needed the frames on my glasses replaced, and it took three months to get them back. I called multiple times, was told someone would follow up, and no one ever did. Eventually, they blamed their third-party vendor, but they didn't seem concerned about the delay or the lack of communication -- just business as usual. In my opinion, if that's the level of service they accept, maybe they need to reconsider who they're doing business with. I've liked the doctors I've seen here, but the customer service and follow-through from the rest of the team leave a lot to be desired.
