I've had several dermatologists in my lifetime, and Shane McTighe is BY FAR my favorite. He's kind, engaging, compassionate. He's the first derm I've seen that didn't make me feel pressured to purchase products or rushed. The office is conveniently located, clean, and my appointment ran on time. Disappointed doesn't even describe my feelings with this practice that doesn't seem to understand how take care of their long time patients and help them when they have a real issue that needs attention. I have been a patient at Lane Dermatology for 15+ years and many surgeries for skin cancer with them. I called when I discovered something very alarming and painful show up on my skin and need to be seen. I was told they are booking 6 months out. After explaining the reason for concern and pleading, the person booking appointments found a spot to get me seen within 2 weeks. I show up for my appointment today only to be told I don't have an appointment today, but have one 2 months from now. I had repeated the appointment info to confirm with the kind lady when I made the appointment, wrote it down and put on calendar two weeks ago. I can't even be at the appointment they have for me 2 months from now if I felt I could wait to be seen as I will be out of town (so would never have scheduled for then!) so will be finding for a new dermatologist ASAP with a practice that can understand a person with history of skin cancer can't wait 6 months to be seen. read more

Worst experience I have ever had! Took months to get in with the PA and was not happy with the scare she left on my face! I moved here from Atlanta and have had melanoma skin cancer so needed someone really good. When I went to my follow up visit I did get to see Dr Lane. I explained to her what had happened and her response was " oh we never prescribe that prescription anymore. Oh well, live & learn." What?? Really??? I then tried to get an appointment with her husband because he is the surgeon for the practice & they refused to let me see him. I had no choice but to find help somewhere else. Went to see Dr Tanda last month to treat a rash on my arm. After explaining to her that I had already been to my family doctor with no results, she quickly came up with a solution. She prescribed me a topical medication that was very inexpensive and a follow up appointment. Even though my follow up isn't for a few months, I have already seen excellent results!
