My new patient appt was made by my insurance. I didnt make. I looked up the address of the business and saw they are on Century Drive so I drive there and am early. The receptionist said your appt is for our 3rd street location and they have a 5 minute late gap to accept patient. I arrived 6 minutes late. I noticed there signage says VISION CENTER. I never would have guessed it is the same business as the other location. When I arrived, the receptionist asked do you have your paperwork? No, I never received any. She said sInce theres no paperwork then we'll need to reschedule. At that point I left stating I'd find some other doctor in Corvallis to have an exam with. This is extremely poor practice and they lost a customer who would have purchased "several" pair of glasses from them at this appt, not just one. Also, they need to actually SEND paperwork or let people know it's required so they can pick it up in advance. If you use them be certain you can only be 5 minutes late after rushing over from the other location which is actually called Eyecare Associates. Poor practice! read more

The other number on their card had an answering service and gave me the number of a clinic that only saw their own patients and wouldn't help me.Very disappointing after going to this clinic for years. read more

The whole appointment was a breeze! Molly at the front desk was very helpful and cheerful, which made my early morning appointment bearable. With the actual exam, Dr. Lancaster was super thorough and communicated every step along the way. She was able to squeeze in a contact lens consult along with my regular eye exam. She is super sweet, has great bedside manner, and is very personable. Even with my many questions, she explained things to me that made it clear that she is an expert in her field. First, I want to say that the front staff was very understanding when I showed up 15 minutes late and expedited the paperwork. That was awesome. This was my first time here and something like that tells you that they really care about their patients and their health. Now, DR. SHAFIQ! She is amazing. this is zero because it was poor service and they kept my glasses after I took them back four times. Office manager stated I get paid immediately. I called the business office. They stated it may be over six weeks because the office manager hadn't filled out his proper paperwork so I called him he denied it lied and still refuses to pay. she said she'd make new lenses the third time I went and I said a little late I've already ordered glasses from another facility and they were excellent and I wore the moment I got them I just want my money back they thought they would charge me for their lab screwup when the glasses weren't done right. I don't recommend this place and the office manager was rude, yelling lying and I won't return there. He basically stole my glasses because he didn't give me my money and kept the glasses so now will go through court. read more

The contact department at this place couldn't get my prescription order so many different times over a span of 3 years that I am tired of dealing with them for such a simple order. I tried to give them a chance by being patient, but it has required multiple calls and check-ins, and too much explaining to get something so simple ordered. As of late, I was told they couldn't order a pair of contacts for one of my eyes, even though I had a trial pair from a couple of months ago. Evidently, they didn't keep the correct files on previously ordered trial contacts and when I attempted to order this, I was told there was never any such prescription (even the doctor forgot)! Also, when I have needed a receipt for my HSA account, I had to ask multiple times for it to show the correct payment! I saw multiple doctors and both the Eyecare Associates site and their sister site (The Corvallis Vision Center) were either incompetent or rude--one doctor commented that my cat eye glasses were a strange style! I cannot recommend this place and will be going elsewhere. read more

For about two weeks I had a confirmed appointment for a pre-cataract surgery evaluation, was given an address of 2400 Century Drive, and went there about ten minutes prior. But there was no building with that address: they went from 2350 to 2500, with another unmarked building still under construction. I didn't have their number and was hoping they would call to ask where I was, but no such call came. When I got home I called them and was told that they had planned to move to the new building but that somehow was changed or delayed. They said they tried to call me last Friday but I didn't answer, so that was it--apparently they made no subsequent attempts to contact me--not even on the morning of the appointment. Since they gave me incorrect information, they were obligated to call--and keep calling--until they contacted me. But they didn't apologize or offer to re-set the appointment. So they didn't seem to want my business, and that's OK. If they're so incompetent about getting my butt in their exam chair, then I surely don't trust them to be cutting on my eyes. read more

I do not recommend this place for eye care. I have 3 children who've been seen there. Their eyes were given a clean bill of health "no lenses needed," but just 2 months later I took one of them to a vision therapist/optometrist who said she needed lenses--and once she started wearing them, her entire life changed (avid reading, school work improved, fewer headaches, mood and behavior improved, no therapy necessary). Also, I personally saw Dr. Tomas Lopez. This doctor is arrogant and dismissive. I was very happy with the services provided at Eyecare Associates, My family and I came for Eye exams and glasses. The girls at the front desk were very friendly and professional. We felt very welcomed in the office, my kids had fun picking out frames as did I! all of the staff helped with giving feedback on what I was picking out and I felt really good with what I bought. I have read some of the other reviews and I was shocked because this was definitely not my experience! I felt like the Opticians really knew what they were talking about and how it would be best to use my insurance to get the best coverage. i needed new glasses shortly after moving to the area. 6 weeks and 2 sets of glasses later, I still did not have a pair of glasses that I could see with! I have worn glasses for over 35 years and I KNOW what it is like to have a new prescription you need to get adjusted to and one that is completely incorrect. We live in Newport, OR, and you just cannot get a decent eye exam in Newport area (we've tried for several years). So we (my wife and I) elected to drive to Corvallis to Eye Care Associates, and it was worth the trip! Very thorough exam by Dr. Lancaster. Courteous and professional advice from the young lady in the frames department who gladly took as much time as we wanted, ordering frames they did not stock at the time for my wife to try out, called when they arrived, etc. I just can't say enough; after some very poor experiences in our home town, it was refreshing to have some real pros on the job! I made appointments for 6 people in our family, spread out over 2 months with Dr. Norris. We are new to the area. First let me say, she was great. She was professional and good with children. If getting the right prescription and customer service relied solely on her, we'd be back to see her. The problem is, she doesn't help you with fittings, with getting the Rx filled, with the front room customer service. The staff here is AWFUL!!! I mean, the absolute worst I've ever seen in a medical facility. Not only are they rude, unprofessional, but they aren't skilled in the least to making sure you get the right glasses you need. And we were never offered contacts. I am equally leery of the fact that TWO other yelp reviewers had the exact same experience as we just did and both of those reviews were hidden (and NOT recommended by yelp). I didn't see them until coming on here to review my experiences. Let me point out, no one in this office measured for PD's on the 5 new Rx we had (we had to stop and wait and ask multiple times). No one made fittings of the glasses we chose. No one asked or offered us lens choices. No one told us what the charges would be after insurance payments. And the worst of all... after going through so much work to just get some glasses.... they didn't put the orders in. It's been 4 WEEKS! We are done with this office. read more

Just moved back to Oregon and one of the first priorities was to schedule eye exam with Dr. Wolfe. Used him previously for 10+years and never had a problem with prescriptions, glasses or contacts, unlike my "out of state" lenses which had to be replaced within a year for peeling coating, and are peeling again! I was very happy with the services I received at Eye Care Associates. I was given a very thorough eye exam and I discussed the changes in my vision with the doctor and the options for contact lenses as well as glasses. The contact lens technician worked with me to try different combinations of contact lenses to treat my multifocal vision. Their selection of glasses was great;contemporary as well as traditional styles. The technician helped me choose glasses that would work best with my prescription and gave me thoughtful feedback on my selection. The glasses came in quickly and were fitted and later readjusted after a period of wearing them. I have gone back again to have the glasses readjusted after they had been accidentally dropped. I was scheduled to have eye surgery, but at the last minute I found out my insurance coverage was much less than anticipated. Eyecare Associates let me cancel, even though it was problematic for them. In my appointments before cancelling Dr. Ludlow and his staff were patient and helped my figure out the best option. The staff was professional and supportive throughout the process. The insurance issue wasn't their fault. They were really understanding about the bind I was in. I had almost the same experience as the previous poster. I ordered new lenses in mid-December and a month later they still were not ready. The receptionist tried to dust me off by saying "Oh, it's the holidays...blah, blah, blah." Finally, they admitted they'd screwed up on placing my order. When the lenses arrived, they were not what I ordered. I had wanted trifocals (because a previous experience trying to order progressive lenses with this company was a disaster, but that's another story) and the ones that came in were bifocals -- with the line between the focal points right in my sight line. So, even if I'd wanted to use these lenses, it wouldn't be possible. The eye examiner never measured my sight lines, so another mistake on their part. When the correct lenses came in, the person who put them in my frames chipped one of the lenses. She told me, "It could happen to anyone" and expected me to wait a few more weeks for replacements. To their credit, I was given a full refund and had them put my old lenses back in my frames. Now to find a better place! read more

The staff an Eye Care Associates in Corvallis are the most uncaring people I have ever encountered. No one would wait on us or try to help us find a pair of glasses to fit my husband. When we finished the examine , the receptionist just pointed and said "back wall" which I assumed was where we were suppose to look for glasses. We had to choose ourselves what we thought might fit. After choosing a pair, we waited forever for someone to come and fit them on my husband. The fellow who finally came to fit them thought he was quite the comic. He wasnt funny. My husband has Alzheimers and this so called comic did nothing but make fun of him. He had my husband so confused and upset, I will never go back to th is unfeeling people again. I will warn people away from such insensitive morons. There is no place to sit and we were left standing for twenty minutes before someone finally decided to wander out to see what we wanted when we went to pick up the glasses. They plopped the glasses on my husbands face and did no fitting what so ever. Just handed him a bottle of glass cleaner and sent him on his way. read more
