Here is my review for Beck PR - I found Beck PR through Instagram and noticed that they work with…read morebeauty brands and that's what made me reach out to them. I spoke with the Owner of Beck PR, Erin Beck about possibly working together in August 2015, and she was very pressing about getting things going because she has all these editors inquiring about new products to feature for their holiday gift guides (November and December 2015 issues.) After all the research I did about hiring a PR firm and all the answers pointing to saying not to do it, I decided to take a risk and hired Beck PR as my representation. Here's my experience with them in a nutshell, because the experience I had with them was a very long 3 months (I got out of my contract as fast as I could because of the red flags.) Can't remember everything to the tee but, if you are looking for someone who truly is looking out for the best of your company DO NOT HIRE BECK PR Erin Beck never communicated with me as a collaborative approach. She left me completely in the dark with not knowing what was going on behind the scenes from (August - end of October until I started requesting for weekly reports.) She does not have the connections or relationships she says she has and it takes her weeks to develop a list of people to reach out to. They pretty much just buy time because of their solid 30 day cancellation and never have straightforward answers for you to lock you in. Her staff leaves spammy sales pitch posts on people's websites rather than emailing them directly and leaving it at that. They prints your reports with other companies that they work with also included in your report (looks like a cut and paste job) where they send everyone the same thing. I was the one to always reach out and email her for updates she never would. She has a very very bad attitude and talks over both myself and staff during our conference calls. She also talks back and doesn't handle pressing or heated situations very well (which a PR Firm should have these characteristics especially during crisis.) She told me that my request on wanting weekly progress reports as of October was a courtesy? This should be done naturally as the client needs to know what a PR firm is doing for their brand. She promised my brand would not be passed down to others and that she and her "partner" would deal with most of the PR efforts. I was passed down to 2 people 1 of which I never even was introduced to. She ups and leaves for a vacation with unanswered emails and without notifying me as her client that communication will now be passed onto one of her teammates. She DOES NOT look out for the best of your brand. My marketing director asked her 1 crucial question about a weakness she experiences when she pitches my brand story during one of our conference calls and Erin replied with that the editors don't understand the reasoning of my product being labeled as it should and to label it after celebrities? That hit home for me. I was very taken back by this and I was extremely insulted. How I label my makeup brushes is what sets me apart from the rest. As a PR firm it is their job to educate who they are pitching the brand story to and educate the readers as to what is so special about the product. She did not have my back nor did she represent my company in the ethical way. Beck PR also lead me to believe that whoever is in their secured end of the month reports that it's pretty much sealed to be published in those editorials, unless for whatever reason the editor decided to use the story for something else. She always told me I had nothing to worry about. BeckPR did not fulfill any of secured placements for the holiday gift guides. Over 30 people were placed in the secured section of my reports and not one was published. I also wrote her an email expressing my questions and concerns along with informing her that I am upset client with her performance results and shes completely ignore my email. So that just goes to prove she doesn't care about maintaining relationships after you have paid your investment in full. I paid over $6,000 (including inventory to ship to editors) in 3 months with no ROI. That's a lot of money for a small start up. If you are considering hiring them to represent your brand PLEASE don't. They are true con artists and no one can represent your brand better than you could. Save your money and do the PR work yourself.

I'm a up and coming rap artist who left the streets behind me and hired Lynn Hobson to do PR work for the month of April 2018, even after I read an article about her robbing entertainers for money. Shame on me, right? Right. Being as I allowed my surroundings to criticize the bloggers writing, I threw caution to the wind and got burnt for $2500. No body never took nothing from me!!!!Lynn set me up 2 internet interviews ,1 photo shoot and 1 show case, then told me she has some other things lined up, Bs. She had nothing .
