I am going to amend my previous review of this location. My original visit was less than stellar minus an amazing front desk employee, Tammy. The Opt Doc on duty is horribly unfriendly, an atrocious bedside manner. The CoC (regional manager and district manager, Thomas I do believe his name was) are extremely indifferent and only follow protocol so that they can say they did (one random missed phone call that was not tried again after I politely let them know I was in class all day and worked after, never to hear hide nor hair from them again.) However, if you can stomach the idea of this and get to deal with the lovely ladies up front, then you will be taken care of. I have had a couple issues with my glasses through no fault of theirs, one was a random "sweet spot" issue in my lenses that was taken care of pro bono and I am bringing them back in to have anti glare put on bc I was a dumb ass and thought I could scrape by without it even though Tammy did try to suggest it originally. I wish I had gotten the name of the ladies working up front that day who helped me figure out my issue (besides Tammy) but they were wonderful and attentive, not just to me but to everyone that came in while I was waiting. Even after I politely declined their help while I waited for Tammy to be finished with her customer, they still continued to offer their assistance. In hindsight I wish I had taken them up on the offer just to help save them some time and grief of having a random waiter. All in all, after returning a few times, definitely worth visiting the ladies up front who are both kind and knowledgeable. Hopefully they can help before you have to be routed to outside management, because I guarantee you if you miss that call, you will not be helped by them and not hear from them again. This experience with CoC and my very very first visit with the intake staff and Opt Doc is the only reason I took off one star. Terrible customer service. They made my prescription wrong and I have yet to hear back from anyone. Go anywhere else but here. Awful.

BUYER BEWARE!!! I gave 3 stars because I like the bogo sale on frames and I like my glasses but I can't recommend anyone to go there out of pure principl. Was the fastest eye exam I've ever had in my lif. But i ordered two different pairs of glasses and when I got there they had 2 of the same exact pair waiting for me. Mind you, these people work with glasses everyday and know how to read model numbers. They tried convincing me they were two different pairs!!! I went on to tell them no and kept reading the model numbers to them. Finally I had to go pull the right pair off the shelf and set them down in front of them and read the model numbers again. They finally said they must have a tag wrong at corporate. And they did offer to send hem back and get the right pair. My problem is they showed me there true colors and would rather not do buisness with people you can't trust! When they kept trying to convince me that they were not the same pair they KNEW that they were. The model number is right on the inside of the glasses and these people are familiar with glasses more than the average person. And when I brought it to there attention they just kept trying to convince me otherwise! It's sad that people can't be trusted in today's wor especially a local buisness that you spent 800$+ with. Staff is rude. Dr was unable to give script for glasses that work well. Required 3 adjustments and staff said any additional adjustments would be a charge but I was told you have 3 months to get it right. I went there 3 years ago and service was great but this time everything was bad. Need to get other Dr and staff back read more

We go to eyeglass world located in Largo, FL since years. The staff is always super nice and helpful, every single one of them. Frames are usually ready before the estimated wait time and so far we never had to wait at all for any service we got there (Repairs, exam, new glasses). Will definitely go there again. read more

So the dishonesty I got from these people was jarring. I was told I could go blind. Then I was also told they took my insurance before I made the hour and half hike up there. I get there they pull up my insurance then say I'm out of network but my insurance they cover and is the most ever popular. So I had to pay out of pocket? Beyond confused. If u could try elsewhere, the doc they had there was kinda rude, u can tell he didn't want to be there. The front desk staff had no idea what anything was on the actual check in sheet they have you fill out, I had questions she said, " I'm actually not sure what that means" but u expect me to if you don't know? Okay..... level of professionalism is insane a complete joke. I go to another eye doctor and he said the doctor that told me that I could go blind, shouldn't be working with people if he is going to be saying off land ish stuff like he did. read more

I work at a nearby surgery center and our surgeon lost the screw out of his specialized magnifying loupes and I rushed to this office to see if they could help. The wonderful lady at the desk ushered me in, took the loupes and replaced the special - longer than normal screw, and sent me on my way, with a N/C. TY so much for your help! I wish I'd remembered to get her name! You're an angel - our doc is one happy guy now that he can finish his day! read more

Friendly people, great customer service, no high pressure sales and thorough eye exam for $69.00! Got to Illinois Eye center for an exam for $350.00 and treated like a herd of cattle! Definitely will use Eyeglass World for my go to read more

I really like this place. This is the best experience I've had getting eyeglasses so far. Staff was very nice and helpful. They let me pick out my frames without bothering me, but were willing to assist me should I want them to. They never tried to upsell me or push me into more expensive options. I don't like places that do that. You even get a copy of your prescription without having to ask for it. This place has also given me the most accurate prescription so far. I ended up getting two pairs of the cheaper $78 frames and a pair of safety glasses for work. The two regular pair were done and ready to pick up in about and hour and a half. Even though they are cheaper frames they are the best fitting most comfortable pair of glasses I've ever had. They feel very sturdy and seem to be well made. The safety glasses had to be sent in to be made. They told me it would be about 10 days. I figured that would be 10 business days which would be about two weeks. Nope. Came home from work last night and there they were on my front steps, exactly one week later. I asked them if they could mail them to me since I live about 50 miles away. Not a problem. I took my uncle with me that day because I wasn't sure if they would dilate my eyes. Turns out they have a machine that does the same test without having to dilate your eyes. He seemed to like the place and decided to make an appointment for himself. He is 79 and handicapped. They were very nice to him and gave him all the time and help he needed. They even put up with his oneryness and really liked his business card. I will definitely be returning here. read more

I went to the Peoria IL store today and I seen a sign that says "We love to hear from our customers" which is a lie I've tried to contact them three times via Twitter ,and email twice they did not reply. Only time they want to hear from us is when they are doing their job and we praise them so others will go. I give them a 2 stars because they do have great frames. But with their new billing system I can only get one pair of glasses. The new billing is, they bill you 50% for each pair and my insurance only pays me back for the first pair. I have been coming here for years and this will make me understand since not changing this back they don't care about me. read more

I had to get some lenses swapped out in three frames. The associate Derrick helped me, and he was charming and amicable. After he took my information and measured the glasses, I was back to pick up the glasses in less than two hours. This was my first time at Eyeglass World, and I will definitely be recommending it to all of my bespectacled friends! read more

I decided to wait on this review to see if the fast service hindered overall quality. I was in Peoria for business and broke my glasses. Wouldn't have been a huge deal, but I did not have my spare frames with me. I frantically searched for somewhere that had fast turnaround, and found this store. Not going to lie, I was a little scared with all of the advertising and outdated exterior. The interior is nicely laid out though, and well kept in general. Nothing fancy, but functional. I don't remember her name exactly (I believe it was La Tasha), but she was amazing. Helped explain the process and the different options. I went with two Oakley frames since it was a BOGO, and the past Oakley frames I've owned have been amazing (light and durable). Got checked by the doc, which was kind of questionable with how quick it went, and was out the door. Three hours later, glasses were ready for pickup. Ended up snagging the Anti Reflective coating after they made the lens, which made a huge difference. I wasn't sure how well it would hold up, but after 4 months of continual wear and abuse, they've been amazing. There seems to be a hydrophobic layer as well, since water just runs off of the lens. Overall, fantastic quality for the speed and price. I was never pressured to purchase anything, which was great. They were extremely helpful throughout. I knocked one star off due to the less than enthusiastic eye doctor, as well as the rude staff in that particular department. read more

I called yesterday to make an appointment and was able to get in the same day and I had no wait time when I arrived. The two gentlemen that assisted me with registration, the eye testing and selecting and purchasing two pair of glasses were very friendly and personable. The one that assisted me in selecting my glasses was extremely helpful by helping me locate frames that he felt might be a good fit for what I was looking for and gave his honest opinion on whether they looked good or not and why. Selecting frames was a fairly simple task for me; I am not one to fuss over things like that. If I try on a pair and they look decent, I don't need to try on 20 more just to be sure. Because of that I was told I was one of the most laid back customers he had worked with. Lol The doctor was very nice and pleasant as well therefore I hope to have just as great of an experience when I go back to pick up my glasses when they are ready. If so, I will definitely continue to have future exams and purchases through Eyeglass World!! I have already told my husband this should be where he goes when he is due for his next exam. Waist of money, you should find a real eye Dr. First wrong Rx , then wrong information given , rude lady at the front desk that could not tell me how 20/30 vision is 20/20. She was not able to explain it and did not offer to even to have some one come out and explain it. I will never set foot in there again, I will NEVER take my children there either. Now my sons vision is not good 2 years later and its seeming we could have been taking care of his situation before he was half blind. If you ever get records from there make sure you get the whole thing. Got ours and was copied with half the information no date and the Dr was scribbling out a lot of information on the record. I went to Eyeglass World for the first time in several years. I was helped by Starla and also another young girl helped with her opinion also. They were both very friendly and helpful. I chose 2 frames with their help, and I believe they gave their honest opinion. I was told it would be a week to 10 days because of the frames and my prescription. To my surprise, I received a call in 3 days that one pair was in. Then 2 days later the other came in. I love them both! I will definitely be buying my glasses from them from now on! read more

Made an appointment the day before. Arrived early to pick out frames. Checked in. Then 20 minutes later they had walk-ins. They took the walk-ins in before us even though at that point it was 30 minutes past our appointment time. Horrible customer service and organization. read more

I would highly not recommend. Their employee said I was getting a discount and so I paid the amount my insurance did not cover at time of service. Later I get a bill from them stating my insurance didn't cover all of my bill. Well the employee did not give me a discount she put the "discount" in stating insurance would cover it. She knew that I had a certain amount and went over that amount stating I was getting a discount. Well now Im stuck with a bill from my so called "discount". So when an employee says they are helping you and you trust that they know their job and what they are doing, DONT! Then I called their main office and spoke with a supervisor and all they can do is give me another "discount" and pay the remaining of the bill. why am I reliable for this bill when the employee made a huge mistake. So rather than fixing this mistake by their employee they are loosing my family and others. read more
