However, Katrina, the optometrist, welcomed me as if I was one of her very own customers. Due to my irregular nose, the first fitting didn't quite work. So, I showed up the next day before they opened, and Katrina managed to squeeze me into her hectic schedule even though patients were already lining up.

In May I went to see Dr. Gurney and had an exam and ordered Progressives. The new glasses did not seem right for me for reading, but I thought I'd try and get used to them, as was suggested before. They do not test new glasses before you leave, which it seems they should. I finally tried a pair of cheap Walmart reading glasses. Could read much better than my $350 progressives! My wife urged me to go back to the office and when I did I was told the reader part was -2.50, when the cheap ones that worked on me were -4.00! Seems like a goof on the prescription to me. Not sure. But since a few months had passed, June said I was out of luck. She also said something about the far vision (top) of the lens would affect the bottom, which seems wrong to me. My wife had gone back a couple months ago and had her new glasses changed due to a wrong prescription. Her second pair still isn't right, but she refuses to go back again. We will not return here.

She tried to argue with me that if I had an appointment then it must have been at a different providers office. When I told her that I was done arguing and wanted to speak with the office manager I was put through to a Samantha who stated she was Dr. Smith's assistant. Samantha tried to apologize for Taylor stating that she wasn't an employee. I told Samantha I didn't want Taylor to have access to my records since she wasn't an employee of the office. Samantha proceeded to tell me that Taylor was an employee, I stated that until Taylor was properly trained on how to read medical records I didn't want her anywhere near my file. Samantha then said "Whatever! Good-bye!" and then hung up on me. I tried calling back and got no answer for over 45 minutes, not even an answering machine. That's what you get when you hire children to run your office.
