The clerk who waited on me didn't know anything and had to ask her manager a question more than once. The manager (I think the name was Tamara, or something similar) was too lazy to come out to answer my question. She sat in her office while the store was clearly very busy. The service in this store was sooo bad, I'll never return. I went across the way to Walmart's optometry store and received speedy and considerate service. Store 80 in s.Charleston is running a bait and switch scam. I have seen eyemart express commercials saying get two pair of glasses for 79. I called for an eye exam and was told it was 135. So off I went to eyemart express. The 135 eye exam turned into 165 and the 79 dollar eye glasses turned into 469 they baited me the once I got there changed the prices. This is illegal and I am filling a complaint with the attorney General the better business bureau and anyone else who will listen. Stay away from this place go to walmart. read more

First we were told because there were 3 people in the store we would have to get on a list and wait outside so we did. They call us but as soon as we step up to the door we are told to wait until other people leave the store. Ugh fine. I walk in and am immediately kicked out because my son can't have both of his parents in there. Look, I get that Covid has put restrictions but with only one other person in the store and no one else waiting...the associate was rude from the first moment. Then we are told they no longer even do one day glasses..so I'm not sure if they would actually come through with glasses or not. Express is a misnomer, 9 weeks to finally get a pair that was almost what I requested. Bifocals not aligned with my pupils. Multiple attempts to get the glasses I needed and wanted and still don't have what ordered. GM was condescending about my order. read more

I was in the store 15 times before I got the right lens in my new frames. I was told so many different things about my glasses. I picked them up once and the frames were broken, I even went back to Dr. Steven Cassis and he did a recheck because they said the way they had been made was right, WRONG! My experience was a nightmare. On one visit 2 other people were they complaining about their prescription and the fact that they could not see out of their glasses. These folks were really busy when I went in to order my new glasses, but it was well worth the wait. Stephanie was pleasant, helpful, and did a great job. I could not BELIEVE the low price - I have astigmatism and very bad vision plus I use no-line bifocals - 2 pair for, like, $77!!! I picked them up the next day and oh my goodness they are just great. I am raving about this place to everyone I see. Other local optometrists told me my lenses alone, for one pair, would be $300-$400 without even getting into the cost of the frames. Old Eyewear Lab Tech give this place an approval. There were two hiccups on my wifes glasses, one was a defect, the other a lens was cut too small, but I know these things happen, made a few errors myself over my active years in the lab. But even with the two errors, she had her glasses and we were on our way in around 3 1/2 hours and my wife seems pleased with the glasses so far. The price can vary depending on your selection of frames and lens options, but they beat Lenscrafters prices in every category. I would like to thank Jenni at store 080 in South Charleston, WV for helping us with the purchase of my wife's new glasses yesterday. She is a new associate but apparently is a quick learner. I worked in an eyewear lab for 10 years so I know the ropes and lingo and she knows what she needs to know and relays that info with confidence to her customers and is a very sweet and personable young lady. I intend on a return visit in around 6 weeks to see her again and plan on taking advantage of the second pair at a discount as we did for my wife and pick up two pair of progressives for myself as well read more
