After visiting 5+ different eyeglass shops, I had given up hope on finding a new pair of glasses. Then I went into Eyeworks of Millis. I was really impressed with their selection and prices- lots of classic and on-trend options at lower or comparable prices to the other shops. I'm actually glad this was my last stop since I didn't feel the need to comparison shop. I worked with Amy and she was so helpful, friendly and knowledgeable, making great suggestions based on my face shape. She was understanding that I wanted to take some time to think it over before purchasing. I ultimately went with a pair she recommended and love them. She assured me that if I ever needed an adjustment to them, to just give her a call. I didn't have my eye exam there so can't comment on what that's like. My eye doctor used to be located here. I am happy my doctor changed locations. The only reason I did not post a review before was because I did not want to cause a possible negative rating of my amazing optometrist, Dr. Hrach. I can finally say that walking into Eyeworks of Millis is absolutely the worst and most uncomfortable experience. Amy, the owner, is rude, condescending and walks around with an air of superiority. I was looking for frames that were on sale. She opened a drawer filled with discounted frames, rudely told me here they are and walked away. I had questions and she had very curt answers from across the room. I tried to look at more expensive frames and she was just as curt. The place was empty, so it was not that she was busy helping other customers. (not that it is a good excuse for being so crass). After the pandemic and offices were open again, I wanted to buy a little eye cloth to support a local business. I was excited to help support local businesses in anyway I could. She acted as though I put a penny on her counter and told me it was not me necessary. I had to walk into this establishment each year or more and it was a distressing encounter each time. I HIGHLY recommend LOOKING ELSEWHERE for your eyewear. read more

We were most grateful for Amy's help with glasses. We had a prescription from another company. She ordered the glasses - and when they were on, we realized the prescription was wrong. I walked into Eyeworks and asked the person -- I am a bit of an introvert, I didn't get her name, nor did I offer mine -- if she could fix my VA-supplied glasses (one of the lenses had popped out) and save me the ride to W. Roxbury. In no time at all, she had the lens securely in place and, going the extra mile, adjusting the glasses to fit even better than before. No charge and a few minutes easy, casual conversation, and I was on my way. She termed it her "good deed for the day." A very nice lady. To her, thank you again. I've been buying my glasses and contacts from Amy for many years. My oldest daughter is too. Recently my daughter needed new glass as her prescription change and she was ready for something new. Amy spent quite a bit of time helping her pick them out. Once the new frames were picked out and paper work completed, Amy informed us that they she would do everything possible to get them before my daughter left for camp. Not only did they come in before camp, but we had them the next day. My daughter was absolutely thrilled. It's a classic customer service model of under promise and over deliver.
