This huge store that has everything for your home remodel: flooring, carpeting and padding, sinks, faucets, hardware, doors and storm doors, vanities, toilets, shower doors, and more. The most valuable things here are the employees. They're great! They're knowledgeable and helpful without being intrusive. The best one here in my opinion, is Jess. There's nothing I've asked that she didn't know the answer to. She used to own a flooring business, so that's a strong area, but she is very knowledgeable about everything. Jess also pointed out another valuable benefit here: the wall by the exit which has business cards of contractors. Jess also mentioned a few that frequently do business with them. It wasn't, however, an endorsement of the quality of their work necessarily, rather who's a frequent customer/contractor, and seems to be professional and nice. Another reason I love shopping here is their free Project Planning and Design service. This has saved me money, time, frustration and been very informative... and fun. As you enter, the first room has kitchen flooring, sinks, faucets and some hardware (to the left) as well as everything for your bathroom (to the right). The Project Planning and Design Center is in the middle. The larger adjacent room, has doors, countertops, more flooring, carpeting and padding, doormats etc. Everything is neat, well stocked, and labeled. And the employees are never too busy putting out or straightening stock to help a customer. That alone is worth the trip here, since customer service is a dying art. There's free parking in the large, private parking lot, and they will be happy to take things out and load your car. This is on the main drag on Empire Boulevard, conveniently next to Tim Hortons. When confronted, BuildCorp admitted they had misinformed us. By that point, our door was already cut and drilled to fit their faulty product. We asked for a refund and agreed to keep the hardware anyway -- denied. We offered to return the complete set and requested damages to cover the ruined door and contractor's time -- denied. Instead, we were met with lies, deception, and evasions from a representative named Bruce Gordon. This company engages in fraudulent practices, refuses to honor responsibility, and leaves customers to absorb the cost of their misconduct. BuildCorp should be reported and investigated.

I wrote a negative review and they wrote me back saying they'll make it right despite the time frame. So I sent more pics and videos to support my case and they told me to contact the US manufacturer for instructions, which replied saying they're not familiar with that unassembled version of the item (as probably Buildcorp isn't nor they sell a lot of that specific product). So I contacted the EU manufacturer who sent me the same assembling instructions I knew already and confirmed my observation on the design fault. So I asked Buildcorp again for a refund, but they told me that it was too late (!) and they could only help with assembling. Not only assembling was very clear to me, but after a month of back and forth, they still had not understood what pieces of the item I was referring to and asked me to send even more pictures. Realizing they were just making a fool of me, I wrote them to just add the schematics I received to the product page - as other items have - so that other customers would not incur in the same surprise I have. They stopped responding and did not add any picture.

I recently learned from an online friend that they also sharpen knives! The prices are fair, and depending on the day, they can have them ready in about an hour (sometimes even faster), which beats waiting days like other spots. A few times a year, usually around the holidays but sometimes other times too they run a buy-one-get-one-free deal. Definitely worth checking out, but I'd give them a quick call first to confirm when it's happening. They also have a punch card program, and I grabbed a knife bag for $5 that's totally worth it. All in all, it's a solid neighborhood hardware store-with friendly staff, fair prices, and plenty of parking in the strip mall area.

Beyond that, I wouldn't trust them to repair it correctly, anyway. Now I need to locate a reputable roofer and deal with who knows what! Furthermore, last summer we repainted our shutters. This was the first time I looked closely at the addition portion of my house that has a tar roof. Looking out the window, it appeared that their level of accuracy was a 7 out of 10. Up close, I can see it's more like 2 out of 10. They whacked the vinyl siding a number of times with the tar, never reaffixed part of the siding down, and where they did, it's fairly shoddy nail work. $#*!
