    The cheap & broken plastic clip that costs almost $35 for two. It's cheap and broke within 90 days, and they refused to honor the warranty.

    *** BUYER BEWARE *** My dad got this wheelchair early in 2019. Within 90 days, one of the retainer clips for the arm broke. I wrote the service department to get it fixed, and they wrote a rude email back telling us that we had to order the parts from their online store. So much for the warranty. I then ordered the parts, a small plastic clip, and got charged almost $35 for two (anticipating that if they are this fragile, I'll probably need a spare). The next morning I got an email stating that they couldn't ship me the parts unless I proved we were customers!!! They demanded our name, address, and a serial number!!! This was staggering since our name and address were ON THE FREAKING ORDER. Eventually they figured this out, and shipped the parts. The lack of honoring a simple warranty along with the terrible customer service has left me no choice but to post this highly negative review. I've posted the emails below as an example of how to NEVER approach customer service. *** BUYER BEWARE *** *** FIRST EMAIL - (Response to warranty request) *** Hi Mr. [Redacted], sorry to hear that those broke. It is necessary to know which model you have to ensure the proper part or fitted accessory is delivered. We were unable to find your information in our database of customers or currently registered owners. Please provide any one of the information: 1 - The order ID # of the original purchase of the chair. 2 - The name, address, e-mail information of the original buyer, that is registered in our database. 3 - The model (style) of the chair, AND the serial (lot) number. If #1 or #2 is unavailable or unknown to you, #3 is available on the frame of the chair. Please visit our website to learn how to identify this information on your model. We need this information before we are able to ship this order. If we do not receive this in 3 business days, we will be forced to refund and cancel the order. My 92 year old uncle recently met with Jacob who came to his senior living home to fix his mobility scooter. Jacob couldn't fix it on site so he loaded it onto his truck to take back to his shop. What I understood to be "several days later," my uncle called to tell me what happened, saying that he thinks he was scammed and the scooter was stolen and he was getting ready to call the police. He said he had called many times and left several messages but no one responded. I'll be honest, he made a convincing case and I was starting to think he was a victim. What I didn't realize was that Jacob picked the scooter up on Friday morning and this was Monday (they are closed on weekends). I was able to get ahold of Jacob and let him know that if the police show up don't be alarmed. He was understanding and explained that he has a family and tries not to work on the weekends so didn't know my uncle had been calling. He also sent me multiple photos of the scooter that had been dismantled and in the process of repair. He also said that he located the problem, would compete the repair that day and return it the next. The price was more than fair and the scooter works perfectly now. I highly recommend Valley Mobility if you like working with honest, dedicated, smart and kind people (who are also patient with seniors).
