You definitely see a lot of the old timers hanging out here at the table inside the store, and the employees are helpful and friendly. It's not exactly clean, but the parking is easy, and the prices are quite fair! They sell wine, all of which is chilled. Even the red wines. Oh well, things warm up quickly here in South Texas. The clerk behind the counter is extremely nice, saying hi to everyone as they walk in, and chit-chatting the customers, which I appreciated! They sell a weird selection of food and candy. Things like michalada cups without the beer, chamoy candy, and other weird stuff. They have a restroom that I wasn't able to access. There didn't seem to be anyone in there, but it was locked anyhow. They have a wide selection of soft drinks, beer, soda, tea, etc. They also have an impressive selection of incense. They even stock "cannabis" incense. I always thought the point of incense is to cover up the smell of cannabis! I really appreciate the late hours that this place stays open, and the friendly service. Just watch out for the cops here. They tend to hide out in the parking lot, looking for speeders and ruffians on the I-10 frontage road.

They have beer for sale which is a plus and some of it is kept cold on ice for you. You can buy cigarettes if you don't care about your health or just wanna look cool but if you are underage be aware they may card you so be prepared to walk away with candy cigarettes instead which are just as cool and cheaper. They have news papers for sale if you wanna know whats happening in your town today although i would recommend just checking yelp instead. They have toys but they don't look like good ones. They have some juice selections but its fairly limited. If your cat is hungry and you are lazy they have a small box of catfood that should keep your cat happy till you can go to heb and get a bigger bag. You can buy a frozen tiny cheese pizza for 7 dollars if buyers remorse is your thing. When going on weekend drives down 46 (and when in the Boerne area) we usually stop here. The restrooms have always been clean and the employees are pretty friendly. There's also a small train set off to the right when you come in although I've never seen it running. From what I've read, the Old No 9 route disappeared a long time ago but the history 'remains in the spirit' here. If you're a traveler or not familiar with the area, they also have a rack in the back of the store that holds brochures for things to do (I think most of the information is for the Hill Country if memory serves).
