I booked this company for a 2 hour brush up for my behind the wheel test next tuesday. I have already have some driving experience on and off but wanted some tips on stuff I may not know or read from the DMV pamphlet. Today we drove around the DMV I will be taking the test on during rush hour. PROS: - Homer was right on time - He gave lots of useful tips/ rules that I overlooked/ did not know - He asked about my goals and we practiced around the DMV. He knew the exact route CONS: - Some parts of the car weren't working. The back camera and the button that adjusted the side view mirrors (not a big deal, I just did it manually) - When I was driving around where the test will be, he got really impatient. He was frustrated and made snappy comments and would say things under his breath when I missed what he said or when I did not get what he said the first time. Apparently I was too cautious. I was overwhelmed during rush hour and all he was telling me while driving that at one point he kind of aggressively said "you should know this- maybe you shouldn't take the test but take another lesson with me". That is why I booked the lesson for stuff I may have missed! He repeated it several times. I did not say anything and then asked if i had someone i can practice with/ car and I said yes. After, he after did say that practicing with anyone will be good. At the end he said that my driving wasn't bad and that I could pass the test. Not sure where the attitude came from then. Good touch up driving school with useful tips, but if you want a more chill and less stressful lesson/s I may consider another option. read more

This driving school is ridiculous. Melissa the instructor never shows up on time, doesn't speak with the parents. My daughter was supposed to have a lesson and she didn't show up. Wally says he doesn't know why and said I should call her myself. Do not use this driving school they are no good. read more

Melissa was fantastic - very patient and was able to get her quickly comfortable behind the wheel. She was so excellent that we canceled our lessons and another driving instruction place and move them over to Melissa. Our daughter was very well prepared for her test and passed the first time. I was not confident in my driving ability or that I could test my past. I was nervous and had doubts. I'm an adult that needed my drivers license. *3 stars because of the horrible, condescending way in which I was spoken to by one of the driving instructors. . I scheduled the 2 hour behind the wheel lesson & the DMV Road Test. The guy I had arranged the lesson with over the phone to figure out scheduling (not sure of his name, but he sounded Viet on the phone) was very nice and accommodating. I live in the greater LA area. Homer was the instructor assigned to me and was incredibly condescending towards me, speaking to me like I was a dumb child. It did not make my driving lesson pleasant thus resulting in me feeling very insecure and anxious about my driving test. I would not use this driving company again. *Saw there were multiple locations listed on Yelp. Wasn't sure which one to use review but this one had the most reviews so I did it for this one. read more

I've never thought about driving school but after my amazing experience I would recommend it to anyone, specifically this school. They were able to work with my schedule and had good customer service. My instructor was above & beyond amazing, not only did she make me feel comfortable (helped me feel not nervous before test) I also PASSED FIRST TIME with only 1 hour of practice from my instructor. Imagine if I would've done more hours? Definitely would've got a perfect score. She also knew some of the dmv driving instructors which was comforting, if u ever use this company I'd recommend MELISSA MERCER (she was my instructor) and she definitely deserves a raise ! I selected this school after I canceled my appointments with Avers Driving School (see my full review for them) and I requested that I am able to see an ID for their instructor prior to letting my daughter go with them. They acknowledged immediately without any hesitation that it would not be a problem. I was able to select a package and make a payment online with no issue. Their rep texted back confirmation of my selected dates with the instructor's information. Their instructor texted a reminder prior to arrival and then texted when he arrived. He provided his valid CA picture ID when we met him outside and then left with my daughter. I spoke to my daughter about her lesson upon return, and she was very comfortable and happy with his instructions. She has continued her lessons with the same instructor, and we are very happy with the services so far. We have two more lessons, plus they will be taking my daughter to the DMV for her exam. I paid a whole lot less than what the other school would have charged me, and i have received great service on top of that. I highly recommend them. read more

My daughter is shy and it can sometimes take a while to warm up, however; Melissa was able to provide a form of comfort and trust that usually isn't easy to bring out. Stop Searching For The Best Driving School. This school is inexpensive compared to others and MUCH BETTER Than The Competition. I took lessons with at least two different instructors in the area before going to Ez Street Driving school, and my previous instructors taught me how to get the car moving and practice my turns and stuff. My Previous Instructors also told me I was ready to pass my test, and when I took it, I failed the first time. And I was paying a lot of money for my previous instructors; it was a shame. But it wasn't until I met Melissa, a.k.a. The greatest of all time, the GOAT of driving instructors. She instructed me on what to look out for a while I was driving and gave me pointers, and drilled them into my brain before I took my next test. She does a phenomenal job because I only took two lessons with her, then retook my test and PASSED. Not only that, but she took me to the EXACT route that the DMV tested me, so when I took the test, I felt calm and confident about passing. Without her, I'd be with my old instructors paying a high fee while they're on their phones texting or on a call when I'm driving; I don't know how I would pass without her because I don't have any family or any additional driving practice with anyone nearby it was only the lessons I learned from her that propelled me forward into passing my test.
