In addition to telling us that we shouldn't have canceled our wedding & that we made the wrong decision (which is always nice to hear when you've had to cancel your wedding because of a global pandemic) - he claims Covid is not a real thing & "the truth will soon be revealed."  I literally cannot make this up & would be happy to share additional detail if helpful. This should serve as a warning to anyone considering working with Stephen ---- DO NOT. March 2020 - Original contact with the band/Stephen for our late August 2020 wedding. As covid had already exploded, part of our contract was a clause (exact text: "In the event the date needs to be rescheduled due to corona virus, the full deposit amount will be transferred to a new date in which the band is available. If the Purchaser chooses a date that Brandy is not available, the full deposit ($2,000) will be refunded".) July 2020 - inform Stephen that we'll be unable to have our wedding in Aug 2020 & that it's been rescheduled to the same weekend in 2021. Stephen sends a new contract omitting our covid clause AND upping the price of the performance!  After many back & forths - Stephen finally agrees to stand up to what the contract says & rescheduled the performance for the agreed upon price, WITH the covid clause. painful. Late Feb 2021 - We write & call to inform Stephen that due to Covid uncertainty - we will be canceling our plans for August 2021 & will be having a small family only mini-wedding in Boston in March. Due to this - I ask for our deposit back. -- Stephen claims that we're not due the deposit back because we picked a date that they cannot perform. The reason they could not perform was because the Massachusetts State Govt was not allowing more than 10 people to gather indoors, nor permitting any live music performances at the time (mid March 2020). -- Stephen also calls our original venue behind our back to check if we really cancelled. -- Stephen claims we're "using covid as an excuse to get a refund." -- Stephen claims that WE are breaching the contract. -- Stephen asks us to change our wedding day... literally, he says we should have the wedding in May since that's when indoor venues can open & this way they can perform. ***note; I would be happy to share these emails with anyone... you literally cannot make this stuff up ! ! ! March 17 - We finally get $1500 of the $2000 deposit back. Note the 1 month turn around, and likely ~ 5 hours in total arguing on the phone with him...painful. -- Stephen claims: - No other weddings canceled - People have 'the time of their life not wearing masks & feeling free." - That we 'jumped the gun on canceling our wedding' - 'All of the corruption going on will be revealed and the truth will come out" I'll leave it to you to form your own conclusion - but if you can.... RUN.It's a shame because the band looks great (...unfortunately it wouldn't surprise me if the band doesn't even know this saga existed). Fortunately this is the ONLY $ we lost on the wedding. I say that only to highlight the fact of how great everyone else was to work with & how immediately they offered to refund given the unprecedented times (our venue even encouraged Stephen to do the same!).Poor form, Stephen.  Poor form.

Our guests kept telling us how great the band was and that it was like they were at a concert. Lastly, they were extremely accommodating when we had to postpone from 2021 to 2022. They provide what most bands don't - song mixing. They mix songs like a nighttime radio DJ would, so they have custom mixes that blend Beyonce into Bruno Mars into Jackson 5, seamlessly. Most bands play a song, it ends, people clap. Maybe it transitions into the next song - but they truly go in and out of songs and blend them and ohhh it's a party! They played a lot of pop / club songs perfectly with traditional "band" songs. Not to mention, the members were so positive, high energy, joyful, and rocked their instruments till the last dance. For speeches and dancing, there were no mic malfunctions, static, amplifier pops, etc. Want the best 9 piece band you could ever find? Hire them now!!!

Honestly, there is nothing more you could possibly ask for in a wedding band. My fiancé and I love to check out local cover bands, so choosing one for the wedding was going to be a feat. But once we saw YLatT... They truly blew the competition out of the water. They are operating on a whole separate plane from any other group we've seen in the area. YLatT is comprised of incredibly talented musicians. This is no fly-by-night cover band. They have been playing together for years (the keyboardist and drummer were in a band prior to this, dating back I think 15 years?) and it shows in their chemistry and synchrony. Each member of the band is unbelievable. They also have a dedicated sound tech who stayed all night, so they sounded great in the reception space. They had an amazing range, from classic wedding tunes (At Last) to 80s favorites (Don't Stop Believin') and modern hits (Blurred Lines). Any genre, they were all over it. They sent us the full song list a few months before the wedding and let us have a lot of freedom is choosing the songs we knew our friends and family would love. And like I said, you can't go wrong. They are experts at all of them. Importantly: FUN! In addition to being excellent musicians, these guys knew how to work a room. They were just having a blast the whole time, and their enthusiasm was contagious. We also had the guitarist, Sean, play for our ceremony as we walked down the aisle. It was way easier than trying to coordinate yet another musician(s), and he did a great job. The band was also able to lend us a mic and an amp for our outdoor ceremony. All of our guests raved about the band, and it's still the most mentioned part of our day. Really, we couldn't have asked for a better group. We totally recommend them to anyone looking for a super fun, talented band!

They played 2 hour-long sets and each had everyone dancing from start to finish. Every musician was very talented. But they really went above and beyond with how flexible they were! At a few different points in the night, we asked if someone could sing a song. They said yes every time. We have some very musical people in the family, and it turned into an incredibly memorable mix of dancing and an occasional karaoke performance. Having looked into almost 2 dozen bands, The Broken Heels quickly became our favorite. They are a 5 piece band that will rock harder than any 10 piece band, at a cost that will actually make sense for your budget. If you want a band that will deliver a high-energy dance party, this is the band you've been looking for. The Broken Heels rock all the hits from the 60's through present day. Our favorite part of their repertoire: the extensive list of hits from the 80's, 90's, and 00's. As a couple born in the early 90's, this band stole our hearts by playing all our favorites from our childhood. We also requested "The Bones" by Maren Morris for our first dance, and they learned it with no issues and absolutely NAILED IT! Every member of the band is a professional musician, and they all bring an immense amount of talent to the stage. They play the iconic hits with perfection, and they also know how to rock. The band leader, Brittney is absolutely amazing. We simply cannot say enough about her - professional, prompt, talented, and enthusiastic. She is kind, fun, and so easy to work with. We changed our wedding date twice, and The Broken Heels were able to make the switch without a problem. With increased safety measures for COVID-19, they remained professional and understanding of all the changes. So when it came to picking out a band for my own wedding, it was top priority. Hip Pocket Orchestra delivered more than we could have imagined. They brought high energy and kept our guests on the dance floor all night. It truly felt like HPO was part of our family. They were very fun, personable, and easy to work with. We spoke with the lead singer a few times leading up to the wedding and they took every request of ours. All our guests raved about the band and still do. The best compliment we received was from a guest who is a professional musician. He said HPO is by far the best wedding band he's heard. They can sing many different genres and were on top of their game for every song.

STAY AWAY from hiring NR Band. I absolutely cannot recommend them to anyone. Let me start off by…read moresaying that I saw NR Band (Jackie, Jerome and Bryan) perform at an event and fell in love with them. When I found out they were available for my wedding date I was thrilled! They were one of the parts of my wedding that I was most looking forward to. Now comes the day of my wedding, 8/25/18, and I was totally disappointed, upset and let down. Not only did the THREE singers (Jackie, Jerome and Bryan) that I had hired and SIGNED A CONTRACT FOR not show up, but they sent us TWO singers who were not dressed in formal attire (like the contract states they need to be) and were horrible. Their style was nothing like Jackie, Jerome and Bryan. To be honest, Initially I thought that the wrong band showed up at our venue. In our contract it stated that we needed to approve of any changes in Band members, so NR broke contract by not running it by us first. Now let me tell you about the MULTIPLE issues we had. #1, our wedding party was introduced into the reception by a woman using an iPad...at any wedding I've been to, the band introduces the bridal party. #2, our first dance song was played using a band members iPhone and TWICE their phone went off from a phone call during our first dance. It was totally unprofessional and embarrassing to us. Also, they cut off the song about halfway through, so it just stopped playing. My husband and I were shocked and had no idea what to do, so we just sort of walked off the dance floor and went to our seats. I remember hearing gasps from guests when the phone rang during our first dance. #3, our MOH and best man speeches were announced by the woman with the iPad, the band still wasn't present on the stage. #4, when the band finally appeared and started to play, they were way too loud for dinner music and my venue needed to instruct them to turn down the volume. #5, they took several breaks and only performed about 1 hour tops and they didn't perform anything we had included on a "Love list" Also, the style of their performing was totally not what you'd expect to get with Jackie, Jerome and Bryan. #6, father/daughter and mother/son dances were played on an iPhone and the volume was so low, guests commented to me after that they could not even hear what songs were being played. Basically, it seemed totally unorganized, chaotic and like everyone was a "fill in"... most likely due to my wedding date being double booked. Also, when we did have contact with the band manager Jerome prior to the wedding, it took weeks or multiple emails to get a response. The only reason I'm giving one star is because they did refund us some of the money (I don't even think they were worth what we paid after some refund), and the back up instrumental musicians were actually talented (one played a lovely piano solo during cocktail hour). All of my vendors, as well as my venue, told me afterwards that they've added NR to their "do not hire" lists for other clients. I hope that other brides and grooms do not have to go through what my husband and I went through. It was a total disaster.

We hired Bryan and Monica from Night Rhythm and they were absolutely spectacular. We worked through Daniel Calvo of Night Rhythm to set everything up as our primary point of contact. He is very responsive and helpful. From start to finish the process was clear and easy. Bryan was the M.C. and it was obvious he wanted to make sure everything went well. He came in early to introduce himself, confirm the schedule and get the pronunciation of everyone's names. When our wedding planner disappeared leaving the cake in the middle of the dance floor, Bryan suggested we move forward without her so we could start the party. They learned music they didn't know and were just a pleasure to work with. I was surprised how stressful and difficult a lot of wedding vendors are... not these guys. With their quality and expertise, we decided not to give them a set list of songs, but let them read the crowd. We don't have a single complaint or regret, just a host of compliments from a ton of the guests on how amazing they were. There was only one short period of time when the dance floor seemed to quiet down briefly, but Bryan didn't let that last long at all. He kept the party going with high intensity right down to the end. I'd hire them again in a second.
