I was seen by Dr Askew for GAE Day 7 check up with my Doctor Dr Askew is so pleased My procedure and outcome is textbook perfect I still have a tiny bit of swelling but pain free I have scheduled my right knee as soon as i get back in May For myself I have wasted 5 yrs hobbling around searching for an answer I did physical therapy, steroids and gel injection. I spent $8,000 on stem cells & I only had minimal relief I found the answer I was looking for in a Facebook advertisement & it wasn't a pill or a rub which those never worked. Not one of the Orthopedict specialists I saw from California to Florida ever mentioned a procedure called GAE It was always your Getting older you have used your knees for a long time Here try using a brace and another injection Nothing worked for me MY advise is if your in pain check into GAE procedures Mine was covered by my insurance under Pain Management. I was a little worried about going to a new doctor for pain management but I was surprised that he was so thorough with me and he didn't want to do anything to me until he got a MRI done and I'm really happy with that because I know that I need to get my back checked out since I've had 3 failed back surgery so I have a spinal cord stimulator and he's going to help me with that too. I felt very uncomfortable with this doctor and I can't wait to see him for the results so hopefully he can help me with my pain read more

The Dr. is rude. He was an hour late for a medical procedure; I was preped and ready to go. Upon asking where Dr. Askew was as I waited in my gown for so long they lied and said he was prepping for the procedure in the next operatory. After so long I got up to see him just coming in the building casually talking to a staff member. He said he had walked to the office from the mall. He never apologized for his tardiness. Then he proceeded to sit in his manager's office and casually carry on a conversation with her! By this time I inquired how long he was going to be before the procedure, as I had a driver waiting for me, he got angry, got up and stood over me, pointing his finger at me and told me to go sit down. As if I was a child. There was no need to sit down as had been sitting down in my garmet for well over an hour! He was just rude! Then he told me I was done and he would not perform the procedure on me for me to get dressed and leave his office. As I got dressed to go his staff told me, I was being "audacious " in not sitting down when I was told. I felt I was being treated and talked to as if I was 10 years old! Plus the staff lied when I first asked why it was taking so long. If they had told me he was having car problems and would be coming later I would have been able to assess the situation better. It was the most bizarre doctor's behavior and appointment I have ever encountered. I am ultimately glad to be getting treatment at a more reputable medical practice. read more

Dr. Askew help me heal my knee completely without surgery. I did multiple stem cell/PRP treatments after I verify tear in my meniscus and severe tendinosis or what you would call jumpers knee. I paid out of pocket although I think some insurance will cover it but was happy to do so it was reasonable and now my knee is completely healed without going to surgery. I cannot say more such great things about this Doctor and his staff. From Grace to Nicole and of course Dr Askew I felt safe and comfortable. I have had bulging disc and arm pain for almost a year. I was told by a doctor just a pinched nerve it will heal, well it didn't. Finally a MRI addressed the issue and I was referred to this office. I can say after my procedure yesterday this is the first day I woke up with NO pain. A little sore but absolutely no pain. I am always greeted with a smile and I feel they are concerned about their patients and listen to our concerns. When you have only 1 kidney oral medication isn't always the answer so injections was not only my choice but a great one with a great doctor. read more

Awful, just awful .he seemed nice enough . I look ok but suffer every day with chronic pain . It effects my life 24/7. I have what is Called CRPS . I had a bad accident and suffer daily I smashed my tibia, fibula, foot. And ankle . He offered me spinal cord stimulator . I've tried that and it is very painful . I declined . Since he advertised pain management I was hoping he would offer me either shots or mild pain medicine. He offered me a bill for one office visit of 500.00. I chose to go there so I paid it. I had a spinal injury and lived pain for several years. The Doctor I had seen previously was treating me but could not figure out where the pain was coming from. My occipital nerve had been injured as well and my previous doctor wouldn't listen to To my initial complaint. Dr. Askew is an amazing doctor and generally treat his patients as if he was treating his family. No one doctor can be considered the best. Especially treating patients that undermines his thoughts and skills. I have referred many of patients to Dr Askew and not one Person that I referred has complained about his services. So as of right now I would like to say that he's a dynamic doctor and if you have issues with your spine he is the person to go to outside of a orthopedic doctor. This is the most unprofessional dr that I have ever seen. I was scheduled for an epidural and when I asked him to please give me the procedure where my spine doctor from UCSF asked him to do it he replied that he doesn't work with what other doctors. Then he got mad when I asked why not. So I decided to take my business elsewhere he followed me out of the office with his assistant in his scrubs and was threatening to a fight!! Very rude and unprofessional!! He isn't a real doctor he is licensed radiologists with a license to do injections. I would suggest that you stay away from this guy and his staff at all cost!! He will hurt you not help you!! I had to make a police report and contact the medical board due to these threats and conditions. read more

Dr. Asked knows well what he's doing, I'll give him that. He was a good doctor who knew how to pin point the source of the pain. His office staff on the other hand, was terrible. I understand scheduling can be out of their hands but they don't work with you to try and figure something out. It's either on their time or not at all. The worst of all was the office manager, Melissa. She was extremely rude and not willing to work with me to on when or how I could come in to see the doctor. The worst part of all is that the doctor is married to the office manager, which must explain why she's so rude. She took me into an exam room, to "talk" yet she would not let me speak and would try to talk over me and began to yell at me, I felt that she cornered me in a room to yell at me Instead of having a conversation in the lobby. I put in a complaint about her to the doctor, I didn't receive an apology or any sort of remorse at all instead I received a letter saying He would not see me anymore.
