Doctor Hoff was my Primary care physician since age 14. He was my dad's physician before that. He…read morewas my grandfathers for 10 years or so after grandparent moved to Lodi. Dr. Hoff has one positive attribute which is also a negative. He has great bedside manners at least according to my Dad and grandfather. Patients trust he has their best interests based on this bedside manner . My experience: I can't go into detail as I don't want my medical history posted online, but experience was poor. Two conditions I had. One, I suffered for 10 years until finding what it was. To his credit, I left out a lot of very important details. But he should have asked questions. I was only 14 and symptoms happened 6 weeks after a significant injury. The other incident required surgery after CAT scan results. I had to demand to see a specialist. When Specialist confirmed my self diagnosis through CAT scan, I dropped Dr. Hoff as my personal physician. My Dad: He had A blood disorder that after a year and a half turned into acute leukemia and died 6 months after diagnosis. Not sure how he was diagnosed with the blood disorder but I think it was through blood tests. Dad had lesions or sores on his face that DR. Hoff tried to incompetently and painfully remove. After numerous visits and feeling worse, a nurse in Dr.Hoffs office according to my mother pleaded with her to take him to a specialist and gave her a recommendation. My dad went to a specialist in San Francisco a few months before he got Leukemia, but by that time it was too late to stop progression of blood disorder to Leukemia. This boils my blood as dad was very trusting and I'm sure he thought DR.Hoff was doing what was best for him. Nope! Grandad's experiment: A year or 2 after my dad passed, grandad developed lung cancer. He never smoked. He had a huge tumor about the size of a golf ball. He had visited Dr.Hoff numerous times after throwing up and feeling sick. Dr. Hoff did not take him serous. After my dad's experience, I pleaded with my grandfather to see a specialist. I think it was my grandmother that made him demand more tests. He finally demanded tests and it was shown that he had a huge tumor. If it was caught earlier, he might have lived another 10 years like my grandmother who was the same age. The reason many doctors try to keep everything in house is due to the business relationship between Doctors and Health Insurance. Doctors are rewarded with perks or bonuses essentially for cutting costs, which usually means not sending to expensive specialists or getting expensive tests. Grandpa really liked Dr. Hoff and loved that he listened to his stories about his prior accomplishments which were many. That created a lot of Trust for Dr.Hoff. A trust that was misplaced. Dr Hoff diagnosed him right away and worked very hard to get him the life saving help that he needed. If it was not for Dr Hoff, I totally believe that my husband would not be with us today!. By far the best Dr that I have ever experienced!! We have been out of the area for the last year with work and had to go to another Dr in a group. He has done nothing to help my husband sustain all the good work that Dr Hoff has done. Its hard to find a Dr that actually cares about their patients these days instead of how many patients they can see in a day. I thank God for Dr Hoff and can't wait to get back to him to continue to help my husband If you want a Dr that cares 24/7 about each of his patients, this is the best around!

All I can say is that he is a miracle worker…read more Everything said with the extra x rays and extended wait times to be seen, he did the most amazing job with my shoulder surgery. I feel like I was very fortunate to have him as a surgeon before everything fell apart because of his greed. I could not even move my shoulder, and I would wake up throughout every single night feeling like someone had stabbed me in my shoulder. It was so tore up from years of serving and carrying heavy plates and trays. I never thought I'd be able to use my arm and shoulder again without severe and chronic pain. It is very upsetting that he was greedy and lied, and basically threw away his life and his extremely gifted skill set for surgery. I had the surgery in 2016. And I felt like the bionic woman with a brand new shoulder afterwards. It is now 2025, and I still have no pain in my shoulder. I have been very active. Over the years and still no problems He may have been condemned in California. I don't know if he will ever be able to practice again In any other state, but with his skill set, if I ever need another surgery that is in his expertise, I would drive out a state to obtain another surgery from. There was always a long wait time before seeing him, but I do appreciate how he didn't wanna rush treatment. I felt like if we had time, he could've helped me more But the process with him was a little frustrating. I think that he did care about people, but maybe he did overbook which can explain the long wait times did he care enough? I don't know. I believe that every experience is unique, but if he still had a practice, I most likely would have seen him again for treatment For lower back pain.

Gary R. Wisner, MD - Thanks for butchering my clavicle for the extra 5k from insurance. I hope it was worth it. My surgery should have never happened.

When my insurance changed 5 years ago, this was the only imaging place available to me and I called…read moreand called and called and never got an answer. I decided to come in in person to try and make an appointment and the woman at the front desk said they didn't currently have a technician at this location. I asked to schedule an appointment and she actually said "I just told you we don't have anyone so who you scheduling an appointment with?" and rolled her eyes at me. I was actually shocked because I had never been spoken to like that in a professional medical office before. I explained that I meant to make an appointment for when they did have someone working, thinking there was a miscommunication and she replied "And how would I know when that will be?" Typically I would ask for a referral somewhere else but I just left. I was actually shaken when I got to my car and called my doctors office from the parking lot. They were able to locate another office an hour away and I drove there instead. They continued to give me referrals here for imaging work over the years because it was the closest place and a few years ago was the first time I was actually able to get through on the phone to someone to make an appointment. I scheduled a mammogram and I was anxious coming in that day because of the way I had been treated previously. The same woman was behind the counter and she checked me in but the technician that did my exam was great. She was fast and efficient and when the lady from the front desk actually banged on the door while I was topless and in the middle of getting my imaging done to ask her something, the technician was very blunt with her and apologized to me for how unprofessional that was. I got my results on time and I was really hoping things would continue that way. I was torn on the rating to give in my review because the staff here that are rude and unhelpful and just never answer the phone deserve a 0 but the technician was 5 stars all that way. Last year I got another referral for a mammogram and I called for weeks, every day with no answer. Well, technically an answering service picks up and puts you on hold to connect you to the office but after waiting 30 or 40 minutes I would always disconnect. I eventually explained to the woman transferring me that no one ever picks up but she stated she was not on site and could not do anything about that. I even spoke with a manger. About a month later I had an OBGYN appointment and told them I couldn't get ahold of anyone and asked if they could help. The office staff said they were ALSO on hold for my entire visit and could not get an answer. They said I would have to go in person, so I just skipped my appointment altogether. This year I needed a CT and to my amazement, someone friendly answered right away, made me an appointment for the following week and I was in and out of my appointment in 20 minutes with a fast, competent technician. However when I called a few weeks later for a different appointment, thinking things were looking up, it was difficult to get an answer and when I did they said I would have to drive to another town for my imaging. It has been a rollercoaster with this location. Some very VERY bad interactions and a few good so know that you are rolling the dice coming here and that you could have a good experience or a terrible one. My best advice is that if you call and have a ridiculous wait time or can't get ahold of someone, don't keep trying. Just ask your doctor to be referred somewhere else and make the drive because it will be worth it in the end.
