Then I enter red the main office where 4 adults were having a conversatio. I said hi and was greeted. However, the older lady sitting at the desk had her back to me the whole time. It was obvious she was the main office front person. Another lady finally asked what I needed and then pointed to this older lady and said she was the one who needed to help me. After the other lady then kinda nudged her to say hey this lady need help. She acted like she had no clue what was happening so I repeated why I was there. She handed me a paper told me to go somewhere else and then spun around and started chatting again. I left this school CONFIDENT I did the right thing for my child. If that is how the main office personnel respond to people entering, I know my child would have also received mediocre education. Every person is a reflection of your environmen. If she didn't even wanna greet or hep me, pretty sure that same attiti runs within the school. Would take that as a sign to not choose this school for your child's education!

We came in August of 2024-2025 school year before Winter break ended. As soon as we left both principals were fired a history, bible, and home room teacher who had been there for years was talking about bombing whoever was in war with Israel, talking about students buying him guns for Christmas and don't get me started on the lunch. Everyday there was black beans or pinto beans, hard bread that was old, they would give the smallest servings, and on Fridays they had pizza that was sitting there for hours and they cut the pieces into e inches worth every day we measured it,and some days chick fil a with greasy and soggy bread. All the children there are rich brats and don't know any struggle and make fun of anyone who isn't like them. The only good teacher there who was really Christian was Mr. Micheals who was the best had a chess club and actually cared for his students. After this school we were begging to go back to Public school. The teachers in Public school are no better and are not the best but Public is way better than this school. Also it is super unsafe they have no protection from strangers whatsoever and literally have children cross the road 3 times everyday. You won't believe how many times we almost got hit. Do NOT go this school is shouldn't even be called a school. Also The uniforms are only on one website that doesn't allow the application to pay for the uniforms. The only good thing out of this school is I got a free iPad since I moved schools during winter break.

Lighthouse Christian School was one of the best decisions I could have ever made for my son after…read moretransferring him from a local over-crowded charter school. I appreciate the small class sizes. It feels good knowing my son isn't getting looked over and ignored due to large class sizes. They have faculty that care and want the best for my son. It has been one of the best educational experiences so far for us.

The cafeteria is good and also the classrooms. One problem I'm noticing is that they treat you like your in the 6th grade when your in the 7th grade. Plus on 2023-2024 they had a recess schedule for all grades. Normally middle schools should normally not have recess at all because that's what the state of Tennessee says. But overall besides the problems I recommend going here. Watch out for really mean kids though.

My daughter goes to Ms.sharp's class for RELATED ARTS, i must state how satisfied, and impressed i am with this year, October 2024,7th grade students in related arts drama. They have great acting skills, and one of the best ive ever seen out of every grade. Ms.sharp is one of the best. My son used to have a teacher named Ms.hooper, he absolutely HATED her class. She mistreated the students, yelled at someone for helping their friend get to an assignment, and is just utterly disrespectful. this leaded to my son becoming scared of her. I feel like the only TWO teachers that take students, and their success seriously is Mr.sterling, and Mr.burgess. They both do an excellent work at their jobs, My children have stated that they felt safe around those two teachers being around because of their brilliant teaching techniques. Mr.sterling, and Mr.burgess deserve teacher of the year.

They don't let students use the restrooms after recess at all, during the locker breaks, NOTHING. Students there now smoke, fight, they literally beat kids up and throw food at them at the cafeteria!! Do NOT send your child here at ALL! Some of the teachers are great, but there's one teacher here that students have been saying is a p3do. My child said he touches kids when they don't want to be touched trying to be "Playful" with them and that he calls them "boo" or "Babygirl." I think some students might be uncomfortable with the names he has been calling them. There's this other teacher my child doesn't like in 7th grade named Mrs. Hooper. Shes utterly disrespectful, treats and screams at kids for no reason, doesn't let kids use the bathroom when they are desperate to go, and one of my daughter's friends was eating chips and the teacher sent them to the Vice Principal!! My daughter told me that one teacher during a lock down (not a drill) was still teaching and yelling at the kids! That is NOT okay to do during a lockdown, especially during a lockdown when you don't know if there's a shooter in the building yet or not. I'd hate for anyones child to be in a room with that teacher when theres a shooter in the building and lose their life because of them. Thats just sad and no reason to keep teaching during a lockdown. I'm VERY disappointed in the school, teachers, and students.

The gym is not a true gym, no hard wood floor or bleachers etc. But is spacious. They do have a really nice playground too. They have a hall way system where you walk on one side to go one way and the other side to go the other way and visitors can walk in the middle. Works out great so you are not cutting through a line or tripping over a kid! Only con to this school is their parking lot. If there is an event, play, concert, etc it is a MAD HOUSE, they allow people to block others in and pretty much you have to wait at your car until everyone who has blocked you in comes out of the building. They had a open house there on night, and being the think ahead prepared mommy that I am I arrived 45 minutes before the doors opened so I could get a parking space and be parked legally and not block anyone in. When it was time to leave i literally waiting at my car for 45 MINUTES until some jerk finally came out and moved. This school definitely needs a bigger parking area! I was told there is a lot right next door to the school that they were trying to get and I pray that they do because it is impossible to fit everyone in their parking lot at one time for a function. And parking on the side of the street is impossible because both sides of the road are drop offs so the only place for parents to park it in the parking lot.
