This is the first time I am writing a review for any doctor/business but Dr. Boris Leybel and his…read morewonderfull staff really need to be recognized for the medical care they deliver to their patients. I have been to see other doctors before I found Dr. Leybel 5 years ago. I am not going to mention any of the horrible experiences I've had with other physicians, but I will say that in the past 5 years (while under Dr. Leybel's care) I have been able to live a life as close to normal as possible with the disabilities that I have because Dr. Leybel helps me anytime it is needed. He is a very knowledgable physician who can recognize the rarest health issues before test results can even confirm them. I am a medical professional as well, and I can not complement him enough for his bedside manner, his hollistic care approach to medicine in general and his gifts as a medical doctor. I believe a person has to be trully gifted to perform procedures and injections which Dr. Leybel performs while causing no pain (or minimal pain) to the patient. After a bad experience with another physician, I was afraid to receive any type of spinal injection, which prevented me from living my life to it's fullest potential. However, Dr. Leybel has performed spinal injections for me over 15 times already and I barely felt them (if you do not count the actual medicine going down your nerve). I have never experienced any troubles post spinal blockades under Dr. Leybel's care as I did with other physicians. He is a specialist in every meaning of this word. He also makes sure that you are not only doing well physically but mentally as well at all times. A rare gem to be found amongst neurologists and I will strongly reccommend him to everyone in need of a neurologist. The staff is always great and very helpful. If you happen to run into issues, they will personally help you resolve whatever problems you may have. In general, I think it is a rare occassion to be surrounded by this kind of medical team in New York. Thank you Dr. Leybel and staff!!!

After seeing how he treated us, I had to sign myself up for a visit. I was very impressed. He's very easy going. He laughs and chuckles like Dr. Hibbert on the Simpsons. Like someone else said, he asks you questions and fills out your paperwork for you. He's super patient, and takes his time to make sure your eyes and any possible problems are discovered. I'm very surprised at how much time he spends talking to you and giving you tips on how to keep your eyes healthy, whether it's externally (use baby shampoo to clean your eyes, wet your eyes by closing them periodically) or internally (take flaxseed oil pills). Oh, he is CASH ONLY. So don't forget to hit up the ATM.
