THIS REVIEW IS OF THE QUALITY OF FOOD ALONE!!! I am actually from western NY, within 50 miles of where Buffalo Wings became famous and every western New Yorker knows a good chicken wing and I have only ever found one place in the UK with good enough wings for them to remind me if home... But now I've found another!!! I've been seeing this business prepare for opening over the last few wings and when I realised it was an American Wing Restaurant I was so excited as it's right on my way home! The chicken wings were the right size, had the right crisp and succulence and the buffalo bliss sauce was reminiscent of the Anchor Bar(birthplace of buffalo wings) itself. I was given 5 wings and wedges in what I believe will be one of the menu items. It didn't come with Bleu cheese as standard (which might have been for the pre-opening event..idk) , but I didn't ask for it so I will make sure to do so next time. It did come with coleslaw, though...which I didn't really see the point of, lol! Oh yeah hey have burgers and per menu items, I'll unlikely be trying these soon as wings are now so close to home. Anyway, the opening is on the 5th of November and there is 20% off so I will most certainly be there to get some good wings again.., eventually when they are fully trained, I will update this on service too!

It's strange as the decor is family friendly and and low key. I mean yes there are monkeys everywhere, you'd expect that, but they're on shelves around the room, the theming is unobtrusive. The sofas were huge leather concoctions, and so comfy. I could have easily fallen asleep had the company i kept not been such fun. They are obviously doing something right because as the evening progressed the restaurant became rammed with an ever growing queue waiting for tables. It was good to be slightly removed from this chaos. Being the piggy i am, i obviously got the urge for food and the staff kindly agreed to serve us snacks at the sofas. Before i come to the food, let's revisit the staff. Good on the eye, any awareness of customer service i would say was absent. Not actively rude, just lacking any impulse to help customers. When we asked for the bill, for drinks, for food, they generally looked us at slightly confused and then after talking amongst themselves for 5 minutes came over to see what we needed. So, to the food. My mate ordered Fabulous olives. Not fabulous. At all. I ordered nachos with chorizo. The nachos came with the cheese having been missed off. A cardinal sin in my book; what is any meal without cheese? The chorizo was very tasty though. I wasn't blown away by Monkey Nuts, but i think i could be tempted back to try more of the food if there was a quieter opportunity where you weren't on show and you might receive adequate service. If someone asks me again what i thought of Monkey Nuts i probably wont waste words; i'll just shrug my shoulders and move on. SECRET TIP: I had a French Martini cocktail. It was amazing. I don't often drink, but i'd be more than happy to break this rule time and time again for this rather sexy pink number. The tiny monkey cocktail-glass charm was a nice touch too.

Things were looking promising when I saw a vegetarian breakfast offered in lieu of the traditional English breakfast. I was drawn to the dish because it offered spinach and hash browns in lieu of all the meat in its partner dish. My friend ordered the regular Full English and her dish came out well before mine. I waited roughly 10-15 minutes longer for something that would appear to take less cook time. The plate came out and I noticed there was no spinach. I was not offered a choice as a substitute nor made aware of the situation. Long story short I ended up ordering the Full English and they forgot my black pudding. Waited additional time for that as well. Then they forgot I asked for the bill. Overall, I would not recommend it, especially if you're on a time schedule and multiple mishaps occurred. No cash accepted and 12.5% service charge automatically added to the final bill with the usual VAT.
