It took me several months to finally decide that this practice was probably the best one, going by the various dental websites for the area. A tentative initial phone call, to ask if they were accepting new NHS patients, went extremely well and the receptionist was very friendly and helpful. This resulted in my husband and I making an appointment and going along to have a check up a couple of days ago. The first impression of the place was good; the waiting area is large and comfortable, nicely carpeted with pleasant soft seating and attractive pictures on the walls. We were both more than delighted to find we were registered with Anthony Bannon as he could not have been nicer what a friendly, gentle and thoroughly professional dentist. He put us both entirely at our ease and (when our mouths weren't wide open!) we had a good chat, not only about our teeth but about our move to Kilmarnock too. While I was waiting for my husband on the landing, I saw a couple of the other dentists welcoming their patients, which included young school children, and they were also very warm and welcoming. It's probably obvious by now that we were extremely pleased with our choice of dentist and, even after only one appointment, I would not hesitate to recommend this dental practice to anyone.

The door at the ramp is locked from the inside so every1 has to get their prams up the stairs at the main entrance to get the health visitor to unlock the door at the ramp to get out.

Until I was fortunate enough to find Breeze. I am one of the unfortunate portion of the population that have poor quality (not for the lack of taking care of them) teeth (unlike my very jammy husband, who, every 6 months gets laughed out of his dental surgeryseriously!) and have had everything from a simple filling to RCT (root canal treatment). From the greeting when you open their door to the caring treatment from the nurses and dentists, I have to say their name precedes them. Although I may not ever 'look forward' to visiting my dentist, I have to say that attending my 6 monthly check up doesn't phase me at all now, because I know whatever I will need sorted in the future, the guys at Breeze will sort it with care! Sometimes called The…read moreRiver Marnock, after the saint but more commonly the full 'Kilmarnock Water', I have become increasingly fond of it the longer I live nearby. I walk alongside its banks several times a week. The confluence of Fenwick Water and Craufurdland Water form this river just north of Dean Road in Dean Castle Park. Almost immediately, the river becomes the notorious Dean Ford which is so often flooded and impassible to traffic. A new bridge has been promised by the council since goodness knows when it was supposed to be finally built in January 2012 but nothing whatsoever has happened. Many people have become stuck in their cars when trying to drive through deep water. I was nearly one of them when I took a chance last winter something I will never do again as it was a hair-raising, and almost extremely embarrassing, experience!! Kilmarnock Water then winds itself through Kay Park into the town centre, then flows under the bridge beside Henderson Church on London Road, skirts Howard Park and eventually joins the River Irvine just south of the town.
