I came across this place and was pleased with the product and outcome of my nails. Unfortunately, the last time I went, a lady in the back flagged me down to sit in her seat as though I was next in line for her chair. Quickly you could tell, she didn't care about her client sitting across from her or what she wanted. She seemed to only care about my wallet as most of the questions asked were about money either directly or indirectly. Careless questions. I had to correct her many times not only on etiquette, but definitely on how she was doing my nails. It was to the point, I looked around for her boss several times to have her stop immediately what she was doing and walked out the door. Then I realized she may have been new so I remained polite through the process bc nobody wants a bad first day. Ultimately I realized this was not her first day, she's just clueless and left with my nails sticking up off of my fingers, uneven, and just plain awful. And just prior to our arrival, I had taken a friend that day and spoke of how this place does a wonderful job. Apparently, be sure you only get a tech from the front of the building. My experience was so awful though, I don't feel I'll go back ever again. My friend was not impressed either. :( read more

I'm visiting family in Fort Wayne for a few months from a large city in the southern US. I love my nail salon at home , but I think I'm more in love with FA Nails. My natural nails are long (as seen in the photos), and they stay that way by getting a dip powder manicure every 3 weeks. Not all salons in any city offer dip powder manicures and some that do aren't that good at it. Everyone offers gel manicures, but since I don't wear tips I've had bad experiences with gel polish which leaves my nails not as protected and painfully break all the way down to the quick so they're definitely not for me. Dip powder provides superior protection for my 10 long nails, and I don't worry about them breaking easily. I have been extremely pleased with my dip powder manicures I've had at FA Nails. The techs do a great job, and I even got a birthday discount on my first visit which was that week. The products are applied evenly, smoothly, and not too thick. My nails remain fresh, shiny and beautiful for 3 weeks and if they didn't grow so fast it would probably last a whole month, but that's not a bad thing. I've also gotten basic pedicures here which were phenomenal as well. They took their time getting my feet in tip top shape in a timely manner. I will definitely miss this place when I leave town, but will continue to enjoy it while I'm here so that my nails can be twice this length by the time I return home. read more

I went in for a spa pedicure and basic manicure and was walking out the door within 40 min total for both... so that was kind of annoying. Usually if I pay extra for a special pedi it's like 40 mins for that alone with massage and wraps. So very underwhelming on that aspect. Where I truly was grossed out is that the drinking water dispenser (which I know they drink from cause I watched my tech get water from it) which they also use to fill up the nail soaks... i watched someone reFILL the water basin with the hose from one of the foot baths! The pumped placed in the foot bath while she filled up the water too ... so disgusting. That alone made me realize i was never going back. Talk about a great way to get an infection ... or just the fact that it nasty. Will never go again and will never recommend GROSS read more

Awful customer service. I came in with French dip and also had a picture of the exact nails I had on. I simply asked if I could have the same exact thing. At the front desk, they said it was totally possible. Then, about halfway through the dip process I asked again if it would look like the picture (which had a light pink opaque base) in the end. She insisted it would look right after "the second coat". Then, after the second coat I expressed that it still didn't look right as it was still very see through. I showed the picture again and explained that the base should be more pink and opaque. At this point I was then informed that it's "impossible" to get my nails to look like the picture (and what I had came in with my nails looking like) even though I was told it was easy and doable. I asked if she could just do an extra layer of a darker pink (which would make it less see through and make it look more like the picture), she convinced me that it wouldn't work and the only way would be to start totally over and do an entirely different technique with gel instead of dip. The french tip on my nails isn't even or centered, the base is see-through and has bubbles/imperfections. The nail tech was clearly in a rush. All around not worth the time or money. So embarrassed I need to pay to get these nails taken off. read more
