Only positives: -lovely salon -nail tech was sweet (albeit did not know what she was doing at all) -the purple color is pretty Main negatives: -will promise nail techs who can do designs but cannot do anything but sloppy lines -false advertisement with design capabilities in the salon -poor ability to apply basic dip powder to nails -cannot make nail shapes even -no cuticle care -no lotion/massage included -limited dip colors to choose from -dip nails will lift after 6-7 days I made an appointment requesting designs for myself and a friend and we were assured that the nail techs could do designs. We get there and the place looks very beautiful and has a calm and relaxed atmosphere (which was great). However, the nail tech who did my design obviously had no clue what she was doing. I've gotten my nails done almost monthly for the last couple of years and I know what is supposed to happen when you get dip nails with a design. This nail tech skipped multiple steps and left my dip powder very thick, bumpy, and uneven. I had to ask for her to try and fix this multiple times (she was not going to do this as she started moving onto the next thing when I stopped her) and it still came out bad when you look closer. She also said she could not do any design I asked her to do. The best I could get was two straight parallel lines. She tried to paint the simple line design directly onto the dip powder without applying a clear gel base coat. For those who may not know, this is very wrong and will mess up the power and smudge any attempt at line work. Her lines were thick and wobbly. I had to correct the design several times because she was going to put the design on either the wrong finger or in the wrong direction compared to my other hand. On top of that, she made no attempt at cuticle care and not a single one of my nails is the same shape. They all range in length and are each their own version of something between a round, oval or almond shape. At least she was very nice and gentle when shaping my nails. However, not even a full week later, my nails were already lifting along the cuticle. I usually can go at least a month without issues. The only reason I get them done at the 4 week mark is because they are so grown out and I need them shorter for work. Now I'm constantly getting these nails stuck in my hair when showering or putting my hair in a pony tail. This never happened even when I got gel/shellac nails done until at least week 2.5-3.The edge along the cuticle isn't smooth at all and looks very sloppy now that they have grown out a little and is more noticeable. Anyone looking to get dip nails and/or a design, I would avoid this place as you will be promised a nail tech who can do designs, but will more than likely be unable to do even simple line designs. You also have a high chance that your nails will not even last a week and will look thick and sloppy. Do not trust any of their pictures online or posted in the salon as not a single one of their nail techs can do those designs. This salon would be better off doing more realistic advertisement instead of this false advertisement because that makes me more frustrated as I cannot trust them. read more

I got a gel manicure this past Sunday. My nails had all kinds of different points and edges on them when they were finished. I noticed later that there were air bubbles under my polish as well. Two days later, and now the polish is already pealing off of my nails. I went here based on the reviews that I saw online and am not impressed. Waste of $40. read more

I've been going to Sunny Nails for two months and then one day a man that work there was doing my nails and I asked him if a woman can do my nails because his hands looked disgusting and I felt really comfortable and he continue to do my nails and I asked him again and then he asked me where I lived and I got uncomfortable so I asked for a woman again and then finally it woman served me but since then that's pretty creepy to me so I will not be going back and I don't recommend going to this place because the man was very sketchy! read more

I went in to Sunny Nails to get a shellac manicure and ended up being severely disappointed by the end results. The nail tech cut me twice while trimming my cuticles and my manicure was very spotty and uneven. I honestly could have done a better job myself. The staff was very nice, but the work they do isn't worth what they charge. I won't be going back. read more

I went there on l/8, because my Son bought me a coupon for service. I needed a fill on my acrylics. They were so very friendly and talkative. Service was fast and terrific. What a terrible place. I have gone to Sunny Nails twice in Fort Wayne (giving them another chance). The lady that works in there (each time I have gone) has been on her cell phone while working on clients (in her foreign langange). They rush through the manicure as if they wished you were not there. I picked out a color of polish but when it came time to apply it, It was gone and only clear was applied. The filing of my nails was terrible, I had more snags than what I had when I went in. They did not remove the clear polish that I went in with. I tried to tell them this and voice my disapproval. Either she did not understand English or acted like she did not. There is not enough room to express my disappointment and disguss with this place. read more

I chose this nail salon based on the 2 recent positive reviews since it's been under new management. I was highly disappointed in my service. I got a shellac manicure which is supposed to last like 2 weeks. The polish on my thumb was chipped the very next day and within 4 days I had 3 nails with no polish. If I had gotten a regular manicure I would have expected a chip by the time I got to my car but there's a reason for paying extra for shellac. My 1 other shellac experience (done elsewhere) was much better and lasted the length it was supposed to. They may be good at other services but I wouldn't trust them for this specific service. I wasn't doing hard labor with my hands. One came off while doing dishes, another while driving. I could tell within a couple days that the polish was detaching itself from most of my nails. It was only a matter of time before they'd start peeling off. read more

Stay away from this place, horrible job, some 18 yr. old with no experience did mani/pedi, had to take off when we got home it was so bad. They also talk about you in their language which we knew enough of to understand when they made the nail bleed, manager says blow it off and tell her to short of nails which has nothing to do with cuticle.
