Her nail tech was over 30 minutes late to work, forcing her to reschedule. She gave them the benefit of the doubt and rebooked. Fast forward to the day of the new appointment: twelve hours after giving birth to our daughter, while still in the hospital, we received a call from the owner asking if my wife was still coming in. I answered, excitedly explaining she had just delivered. Instead of offering a warming understanding, or opportunity to reschedule given the big life event, the owner responded in a demeaning, narcissistic tone: "Well congrats, just wish you would have called to cancel." This level of insensitivity and unprofessionalism is unacceptable, especially for a non-essential business. No pregnant woman, new mother, or family should be treated this way. Now it's rare I write reviews, but after seeing some negative ones, I wanted to share that our experience was actually excellent. The service we received was truly exceptional, and I felt it was important to counter the negative reviews with our positive experience. Our visit was fantastic, and I'm glad to share that! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the owner, Frali, who was at the front counter. She was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Even though we didn't have an appointment, Frali got us in immediately without any hassle. Both my mother and I had pedicures, and the atmosphere was calming, and the staff made sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. Two weeks later, while I was back home, my mom called to say she can't wait to go back. This place needs to stick to a schedule. Stop taking so many walk-ins! I made an appointment that ended up being 45 minutes late. When it came to my manicure, two people worked on my nails which also was not what I requested. This was because the gal I requested was running so far behind. My nails were done in a hurry and in less than a week the gels were chipping. They ruined my nails while removing the old gels. Doesn't speak much English so it's pretty quiet time and it usually takes about two hours for a Mani Pedi but she does an absolutely wonderful job. I would highly recommend glow Nails. read more

I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY wanted to love this place. It is clean, well-staffed, modern and new, tons of color selection, a bar providing both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and competitive pricing. I love getting my nails done. It's the one thing I do for myself. I dont get massages, get my hair done once a year, don't go on vacations, but I get my monthly dip manicure. We're new to the area and my old place and nail buddy did AMAZING dip manicures--they'd easily last 4 weeks and would still be intact with massive amounts of new growth. So maybe my expectations were skewed, but for $50, I expect my manicure to last more than a few days. I got my nails done on Wednesday Oct. 16th. The nail tech was not the most friendly guy (all of the other techs seemed far more friendly) but I'm not there to be social, I'm there for my monthly primping session so I didn't fault them. By Saturday October 19th, 3--THREE-- of the dips had popped off of my nails in a single piece, as if my nails weren't properly prepped. Because I wanted to like this place and they seemed to know what they were doing, I called and they got me in same day for a fix. All 3 damaged fingers were on the same hand so they redid the manicure on my entire left hand and did a new topcoat to my right hand free of charge. Fast forward to Wednesday October 23rd (1 week after my manicure), the same thing had happened to another nail where the color popped off in one piece. I called, I was seen by the owner the same day who fixed the nail free of charge. That same day, I got in my car to drive to Indy for the day and on the drive, another nail popped off. So to catch you up--in 1 week, 5 nails had popped off, 50% of my manicure. By 3 weeks after the initial manicure, 3 more nails had popped off (including some that had been repaired 1.5 weeks prior) and multiple others were starting to peel away from my nail (meaning the popping off was imminent). I feel like I gave them a fair try--multiple, in fact--and it just resulted in me feeling like the 1 nice thing I do for myself as a treat was actually a chore. I'm now onto a new nail salon. If you're going for a girls day where you want a mimosa and a mani, then it may be a fun place. But if you want a mani that lasts, I would recommend looking elsewhere. read more

My mail tech was firm with my calf massage my water just the right temp and the water they offered along with my beer I purchased hit the spot. Yes they have a beer and wine bar. So awesome. I've been twice. The first time we did have a scheduling/communication issue and I wasn't able to get all the services I was hoping. The second time, I took my wedding party and Glo staff handled us and all our chaos so well! We had multiple pedicures and multiple styles of manicures all going at once and we all looked great! I got the ombre pink and white-I prefer my nails shorter and we decided I had enough length to do it with my natural nails, so I LOVE the final look. My new favorite nail salon! I had a wonderful experience here getting a no chip mani. The salon is sparkly clean and they did a great job decorating inside. My nail technician was very sweet and talkative which always helps! They use all OPI products for the gel manicures and I am a big fan. I have been coming to Glo Nail Bar for over a year. I have been satisfied with the service until a few months ago. I have had the same technician and the service has just been terrible. My acrylic nails are lifting and coming off after less than two weeks. They normally last 3-4 weeks. My husband was the only black person in the salon and after he got up from his chair, they wiped it down after he got up. They have never done this before when he was with me. I want to start my review by saying the techs were amazing! They were so friendly and did an amazing job! So this has absolutely nothing to do with them, if it weren't for how rude the manager was to our group I would totally recommend this place to more people. But due to how rude and unprofessional he was to us I will not be returning there, nor will I be recommending this place to anyone. For starters we were supposed to be a group of 8 but then we had 4 people cancel on us minutes before we were supposed to be there. Which didn't really give us the time to change the appointment in time. I understand the inconvenience this places on the business, but the way the manager handled it was totally uncalled for. His tone was so rude when speaking to us that it made everyone in the group very uncomfortable. Not only was he very rude when speaking to us, but I could also overhear him talking about my group to another person. Then he continued his unprofessional behavior by giving me "dirty" looks whenever we made eye contact. He made me feel so uncomfortable and unwelcomed. I forgot to mention that this was my very first time being there, so for a first time it gave me a bad taste in my mouth. In conclusion the techs are great and do an amazing job! The tech did an excellent job, and afterwards, when I smudged my big toe (totally my fault for not letting it dry long enough) she noticed and came over and fixed it before I even said anything. I have had a lot of gel polish manicures over the years and they always last at least 2, and usually 3 weeks. This one lasted less than a week. We went on vacation and within two days I had polish chipping. I had one nail repaired my first day on vacation, but throughout the week my other nails began to have polish chipping and peeling off. I've had 5 nails that either chipped or peeled in a matter of a week of getting my manicure. I brought my nearly 84 year old mother here for a pedicure. She is diabetic, her toenails are awful, and her feet and legs are extremely sensitive. The tech was SO careful as she trimmed my mom's nails and cuticles! My mom was able to get the soles of her feet scrubbed - we usually have to skip that because it hurts too much but not today.
