My apartment building in NYC had a fire which caused a lot of smoke and soot damage to my place. Fabric Renewal came right in and worked with me in getting all my stuff packed up and sent out. My main point of contact was Rich; his communication throughout the entire process was fantastic. Fabric Renewal was able to also restore my couch, bed, drapes and carpet to its original shape. This is the first time I've ever written a review for any service as I was truly blown away by the service Fabric Renewal provided. This was the second time I've been dislocated by a fire in my building. During the first fire a different company took forever, destroyed and lost many of my belongings and pilfered anything and everything they could find. This time, using Fabric Renewal (and specifically I must commend my account manager Rich Senerchia) I was able to leave my toxic apartment and all my things were picked up and prioritized on the very same day (without my having to be there!). Most notably, they found items in my drawers and belongings such as jewelry and cash and immediately notified me and held on to them to ensure they are returned safely. In addition, my critical items to be able to return home were retuned within days not weeks. I am beyond floored by not only their service but honesty and integrity and cant recommend them highly enough. read more

We hired Fabric Renewal to remove all of the soft materials in our apartment after a fire above us, clothing, shoes, rug, bags, curtains, etc. - some of which had a slightly sooty/moldy smell from the fire. They took photos of each item that was removed, hauled to New Jersey for cleaning, individually tagged everything and returned it all to our temporary space sooner than originally promised. Everything smelled and felt clean and was pressed and folded nicely - even shoe bags. They billed our insurance company directly, and when we discovered a couple items that were damaged they sent a replacement check after a few calls. They did what they said they would do, quickly. All we had to do was unpack it. Note that this type of service (we were not allowed into the apartment to load out anything ourselves) is expensive, so be sure to ask about pricing first. read more

My family had a fire in our apartment building and most of the things in our apartment only had soot and smoke damage. Fabric Renewal came to the rescue and removed all of our pillows, clothing, shoes, linens, handbags, furs and curtains. They said everything would be cleaned and held for us until we found a new place to live. We made a separate pile of things we needed back immediately so we would have clothes, shoes and jackets to wear. Those items were returned to us within a few days. The rest had to be held for months until our apartment was ready. When we finally moved and had Fabric Renewal return all of our belongings, I thought it would be difficult to get everything sorted and put away. That was not the case. Everything was returned beautifully sorted and marked in hanging bags or boxes. My shoes and handbags (some are very expensive) were individually wrapped in tissue paper. This was by far the most professional company I have ever worked with and under the most difficult circumstances. The employees that picked everything up and returned it as well, were such professional, caring and compassionate people as well as the office staff that were always so kind. I would highly recommend this company to anyone I know (and I already have). You want to do business with a company that will make your life easier when you suffer a traumatic experience like a fire, and Fabric Renewal did exactly that. Thank you for everything! When I had smoke damage in my home, I didn't know where to go. My insurance company referred me to Fabric Renewal...and I'm so glad I went with them. Their staff came to my house and handled EVERYTHING. I didn't even know that things that could be cleaned...belts, shoes, etc. They brought some items to us within 48 hours to our hotel and the rest was returned to our home when it was safe to go back. Each and everyone of our items was treated with respect and cleaned beautifully. Even my dog's sweaters were cleaned, pressed and wrapped in tissue! Everyone from the guys that came to my house and hotel, to the office staff, to anyone who touched any of our things, did a great job and made this stressful situation much calmer through their calm professionalism.
