I had this old, HEAVY, solid, iron coffee table base I didn't want to get rid of, just sitting in my garage taking up precious space. Finally decided to take it to Fabrication Syndicate to see if it could be made into a bench base. I didn't have high hopes as to what could be done with the crossbars, but after looking at it, Scott was adamant he would not only keep the crossbars to maintain stability, but he would make it look pleasing to the eye. This place is amazing! Scott is awesome. I needed a swivel seat in my small car for a disabled family member. Other places wouldn't even try to do anything with my little car, but Scott was up to the challenge. Now my seat can turn and still slide back and forth and it is sturdy and strong. It locks into place. He even threw in fixing another issue with my key fob not working, just because he is awesome. No one else could fix that without replacing it for a few hundred bucks that I don't have. I owe him! His prices are super affordable compared to anyone else. First off, the crew and Scott are good people. You can't take away the fact that they do outstanding work. I've used this company 3 times with great success on the same kind of project. However, I was quite taken back a bit with this last transaction. The first time I came in, I brought in 3 pieces. Scott charged me for an hour of labor (approx. $100 - $110). We were happy with the product and the price. The second time I brought in 10 pieces and was charged $200 - $250, which we found acceptable. This time, I took in 20 pieces. When I asked how much, he said I would get the quote in my email. I was figuring around $500. I never received a quote. They did the job quickly, which is another reason I liked using them. When the email arrived, It was with an invoice for the completed job. The bill came to over $760. When I asked Scott why it was so much in comparison with the previous job, he said that the previous job was grossly under estimated! I've been doing business for a long time. Whether the previous jobs were quoted over or under what they should have been quoted, I wouldn't have known one way or the other. I go by what the owner was telling me and quoting me. If there was going to be a drastic difference in price, I should have been told up front. Certainly, an estimate up front would have brought that conversation to light before the work was done. This just wasn't good business on this transaction. I begrudgingly went ahead and paid his price. Again, the product was good. I like their work and the people. I just can't afford them anymore. Get an estimate in writing before going forward with your project. read more

Just had these guys build an industrial bed frame for me for a headboard that I picked up from Restoration Hardware after the clearance center failed to proved the footboard and side rails the bed came with. They did it in half the time and a much more competitive rate than sickfab. Here's a photo of the bed...you can see the side rails and footboard. They also last minute cut down some metal slats so I didn't have to buy wood and figure out a center brace for the bed. I was super stoked putting it together, so glad I spent the extra money to get a custom frame rather than buy a standard bed frame! read more

Just had two camper jack extension plates fabricated here. They obviously know and care about what they're doing, and my itty bitty project wasn't too small for them. Their price is minimum one hour shop time, which I feel is really fair considering the CAD work they had to do to recreate my make-shift wood template on the computer, the wear and tear on their machinery, and the deburr and sand. They asked questions from a safety corner bevel to whether I wanted any lettering etched into the plates. I really didn't expect them to pay so much attention to detail to such a small request! First of all, Scott was very professional and very honest. The integrity he showed has saved me so much money. Secondly, there was no racing harness currently being made for a 2014 Porsche Boxster ... everything was being made for a Cayman. But sure enough, he worked his magic and I got my racing harness installed. Not only that, he also installed my 4 point harness seat belts. At the same time, he was teaching me all about them so that I know how to use them properly. Which in turn, may save my life one day. Lastly, I installed my racing seats all wrong LOL. Went to see Scott for some fabrication work on my Can-Am Maverick SXS. I needed to have the seat brackets changed up. He shortened the brackets, changed the angle and added new holes to line up with the seat. It fits perfect now. Also, I went there expecting him to make completely new brackets which would have cost a fortune but he reworked the old brackets saving me time and money.
