Was blindsided with new policy of cashiers refusal to pack items we buy in that store . Very rude…read moreabout it too. I had no clue . Cashier told me to take my bags of counter , and continue with rude talk saying they don't have to pack customers items . I am 75 year old , that shocked me . Why ? Why is it hard for cashiers to pack paying costumers items ? And if I was told that in nice manner , it would have been more respectful . Then she said if you ask us to pack we will. And I asked politely and said please too. Her comeback was , passive - aggressive . She said : are you asking me to do that ? I had to ask again , and then she again repeated same question . Finaly she was packing it , fuming . I was in total shock over her rudeness and news that Home Sense in St. Catharines is NOT packing your item that you buy . There is no common sence to it . Nobody sells anything there , we do it on our own . And whats the point of this ? Your stuff is trained for job of packing and cashing out costumers It has been months , I have not put my foot in there . I would go every week there , before this . For my money , I will go where they respect costumers walking into their store . There is saying " You can do whatever you want , but NOT as far as you want " . Home Lighting...less the "lighting"…read more Guess I have no choice but to generously give them 1 star. Bought 3 pendant light fixtures from this store. They wrote out the type of bulbs to get but unfortunately these bulbs are virtually impossible to get. After numerous trips to try to find them we called the store yet again to tell them we were returning them. They were less than helpful, rude and promised they would look into it and get back to us but of course didn't. We were also informed that they do not accept returns and that it wasn't their problem..."they aren't in the light bulb business", imagine that...a light fixture store that isn't in the light bulb business! I would definitely recommend this store, but only if you are looking to purchase pretty things to hang from your ceiling that you can enjoy during bright sunny days or when you and your guests are wearing your worm picker headlamps that you purchased at Canadian Tire (which by the way come with the light bulbs)
