However, we were disappointed we didn't eat there. The place was very cute and across from a beautiful park. The pizzas and salad were well packed to-go and we got all we needed to eat at our hotel. The pizzas and salad were delicious. We tried a pepperoni, meat lovers and Esteban's choice pizza. They were all great, the Esteban's choice was my favorite. The wood fired crust was perfect, you could tell it was all freshly made. The chopped salad was also tasty, a generous sized salad with a nice homemade vinaigrette. I wasn't sure how big the pizzas would be and whether we would have enough for four adults. It was plenty, and had extra slices we took with us on the road. Their Caesar dressing has a great flavor to it and the chunky Parmesan cheese made my daughter happy! Garlic Parmesan wings had great flavor, the only disappointment was they were so tiny. It's hard to spend $13 on six wings that are super small. So I will probably forgo the wings next time and get something that's more cost friendly. Overall, we had a great lunch and a good time. As I mentioned, Mike's Place is New Orleans themed, and the menu reflects this style, but there are many delicious options. My wife and I made 6:00 pm reservations for our 41st wedding anniversary. We arrived around 5:45 pm but we were seated before 6:00. Our server, Dallas, was very friendly and attentive and took care of all our dining needs. We first ordered the Coconut Shrimp appetizer. This arrived quickly and was hot and well prepared. The Coconut Shrimp comes with a delicious dipping sauce. For our entrees, my wife ordered the Atlantic Salmon with fried okra and baked potato, all of which was served hot and well prepared. My wife has dairy allergies and she requested a butter substitute for the baked potato, and Dallas was able to provide margarine instead of butter. I ordered the Commodore's Platter, which comes with Lobster Tail, Dungeness Crab Claws, White Fish and Shrimp with salad and one side. You can get the seafood prepared grilled, blackened or fried.
